    As a sophomore in college I watch Dean Z’s videos religiously, hoping to gather useful information for my future application. Whenever an application review comes up, especially this one, I take notes and get so invested in the character that’s created and hope for them!!! You had my adrenaline running 😅 so happy she’s part of the MLaw community and has made such an impact

    Would love a reading of a waitlisted student and whether they were successful or not in getting off the waitlist

    Can you please make some more? Maybe more of those who have a GPA and LSAT below the median? I've watched all them!! Absolutely love this. Thank you Dean Z !!!

    Dean Z, I would love for you to listen in to some of the Thinking LSAT personal statement episodes (it's a podcast, the episodes will be obvious by the titles) and see what you think of their critique of personal statements people are sending in.

    I want to send my application in just to have Dean Z to review it. Even with my extremely low LSAT score of 134.

      To my knowledge, Michigan does not admit that they engage in YP. You would probably hear something about how they have great stats and essays, yes, but they fail to identify a solid 'Why Michigan.'

    I love your videos! I am planning on starting the application process next fall. I wanted to ask, when a student puts their University GPA vs. their LSAC GPA on their resume is that a red flag?

    • @umichlaw
      @umichlaw  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I wouldn’t say it’s a red flag, but I also don’t think it’s necessary! We have all that info available to us in the LSAC Law School Report, and so you’re just repeating info we get elsewhere-and raising the possibility, however remote, that some reviewer will be puzzled about why your resume GPA is different than your LSAC GPA.

  • @ahmada7333

    Should i seperate relevant and irrelevant work experience like internships amd retail work?

    • @umichlaw
      @umichlaw  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There are many different approaches to organizing the info in a resume, but I personally think reverse chronological order for all jobs is the clearest to navigate. And I don’t think in terms of “relevant” and “irrelevant”-it’s also useful experience!

    This is so ridiculous. Embarrassing that this is a representative of the law school. She likes grads from all-female colleges, black colleges, people who live in her city. What a joke.

      Diversity makes for better law schools, and you know as a state school they are required by policy to favor people from MI right?

      @@mikefromco “diversity” means lowering standards.

      @@Student____2025__1 Based on what metric? 56% of Harvard is non-white, 54% at Yale, roughly 48% at Stanford is non white.
      Those are the best law schools in this side of the globe. What makes you think they are less? Don’t hide your incompetence and inability to do well behind racism, it’s unbecoming and makes you look even worse.

      @@Student____2025__1 Compared to what? Those schools are the best in the country. That’s a fact, the students that go there are at the best institutions in the states.
      Seriously, hiding behind the idea that diversity is a bad thing is a weak cudgel to lean on.
