Can You Turn These Lego Sets into Modular Buildings?

A lot of new Lego sets have come out/are coming out this summer. For us modular fans, do any of them have strong modular potential? Colin takes a look at three specific sets and examines what it would take to be worthy of your modular city.

Personally I think the Friends set has more potential as a modular *because of* its color scheme. I think combining two of those sets would be enough to make a decent modular. I wouldn't include the slide on the building, but that would be a fun element to add to a park or playground.

That's a good idea - placing the slide in a park. I've warmed up a bit on the brighter colors being in my modular city (since the last few modulars have included them), but I've seen a number of people who don't care for them much.

It annoys me that lego friends has bigger and better builds than Lego city. In lego city the builds are very small and thin, and are weird looking to me. But with lego friends the buildings are bigger, taller, wider, prettier, but the color scheme is not my favorite, it's usually too loud for my likings. I wish Lego city made more building sets that were similar to the large modulars but smaller and cheeper, yet still worth buying. The city set you showed is a one of it's kind, and I really hope they keep making sets like it, although I would like them to be a little less crazy than the downtown set (I feel it's a little too chaotic, but still nice!)

Great video. Personally, I am saving right now for next years modular after getting my only creator expert white whale fairground set the 2015 farres wheel, so that's my birthday gift for 2023. So my building goals for the rest of the year are to finish my batman art wall and do a few random small sets as well after the ideas treehouse took 8 months to do I started it in January finished it the first week of August then got the 2022 sanctum sanatorium done in under 2 weeks right after.

Creator 3 in one main street may be thinner. That's my least favorite of the options.
