- Hi Guys,
Meet Mr Elf. He is such a naughty elf, every night when we go to bed he gets up to mischief. We've had Mr Elf for three years and he just keeps getting bigger.
So it's that time of year again folks, those of you with kids will understand what this is all about, and some of you might be young enough to know what this is. Elf on the Shelf is a game I play with my kids, as do many other people around the world.
So in this video I show you how to make your very own little elf for your nail!
This is a really easy design, it may look complicated because it's 3D but honestly, Mr Elf is just a series of simple shapes, and because he is cartoon-like, you don't have to give him much definition or texture. Just use bright colours and you'll be fine!

Our elf (Buddy) got into my son's Lego advent calendar and froze the next day's lego build in a plastic cup of water. He took a picture of what he did on my son's phone and typed "lolz" and added a bunch of Xmas emojis.

My elf gets drunk a lot and I think there is something wrong with him♥️
the Q: Adam asked about acrylic sticking to smooth surface of Gel.
A: The acrylic is the rough surface.
It may seem smooth during application but after the monomer dries it has enough tooth to hang on to a gel surface.
_Edit: Additionally, the heat generated by the curing along with the chemicals in the monomer are likely softening the gel slightly, as the liquid evaporates the process stops and the two have sort of "melted" together._

The reason it adheres to the gel polish topcoat is because the topcoat is a soft, or porous surface where Mega Gloss is a hard or non-porous surface. Gel polishes are soft gel and the monomer has little pores to seep into and grab on to.

We don't do Elf on the Shelf. When my 10 yr old daughter was in Kindergarten, her teacher had one in the classroom and he gave her nightmares. She's always said, he's scary, creepy and a stalker. But she's ok with the idea of Krampus, I don't get it.

Our elf, Andy, decided to hang all of my daughter's stuffed animals on her walls with tape one year. This year he's been hanging candy canes in places where they don't belong ( like on the chandelier in the kitchen and on curtain rods).

I have a suggestion for your Elf on the Shelf you get your wrapping paper and you wrap the whole toilet from top to bottom then you put some toilet paper . Write a note on the mirrors with toothpaste or lipstick have a very merry Christmas to you and your family mom brother your children everyone thank you so much

Answer to his question about the acrylic sticking to the gel top coat hell and acrylic are both made out of monoacrylates they have the same ingredients just different amounts of it
Actually here in Canada he moves because goes to report to Santa every night and they find him we’re he. Lands when he comes home ours has been ziplineing across the kitchen he’s been in the fridge in the whipped cream bow l on the top of the doors drinking beer

I have tried doing this design but my nail shorter I did it on my domin hand (right), using my nonedomin hand left, it's not to bad for my first attempt using my left hand, I will post it on Instagram n tag u in it #KirstyMeakin. he's a little deformed as I did the first ear in wrong place but it not to bad for my first attempt 😁

I'm 42 and when I was a kid my mom had about 8 "Elf on the Shelf" pinned to her bedroom curtains. The only time they were allowed off of the curtains was Christmastime. So I really don't get the excitement over them.

Omg.. I was literally gonna ask that same question. If acrylic can't adhere to the natural nail without removing the surface shine, how does it adhere and stay on a super glossy top coat? Why dont you buff under the 3D art or something 🤔🤔🤔
I love to watch you do nails. I’m just learning to do my own. I’m using acrylic not gel But I’m thinking the gel would be easier.
My son has a suggestion for you. After seeing a couple of your Christmas nail videos (which we regularly watch together!), he commented that you could create a Christmas tree using nail tips painted in different or repeated designs, making them into the branches and decorations. x
