Tbh he’s back with St. Louis now and he’s back with his class of hall of fame. Pujols wainwright and Molina. The three amigos are back together for the ride off into the sunset. My life as a cardinals fan is finally came back. Grew up as a kid watching this team in the 90s on.

I’m probably a few years older than you. Pujols is a couple years younger than me. I feel very similar. If I told y’all the games I’ve been to in my lifetime already I think you’d be extremely jealous or think I’m lying. Let’s all enjoy his final at bats as a baseball player and hope the birds can win one last WS for him.

Man I watched his entire St. Louis career but I can’t remember all of it. I forgot he homered in his first at bat in St. Louis. I guess “storybook” is a word that describes much of his career. Here we are today, Sept 10th, 2022 and he’s writing a storybook ending to his career.

I'm going to the last home game on the 2nd. Flying from west coast just for one last time to see Albert in person. It'll be my second Busch stadium game. Went to 2006 game 4. Cards win & then win series as I'm flying home. It'll be a wonderful day at Busch to salute Albert. Blessed to get to go & be there in person. Section 145, row 2!

@@dennissvitak148 More strikeouts, true, but in their 10 year primes Pujols had just as many hits and significantly more walks. Pujols had about a hundred more doubles in his best ten years but a hundred less triples. I could see arguments for one over the other but really they are pretty darn similar. Baseball Reference has them as the most similar hitters to one another through their first six years. If Joe didn't miss a few years to WW2 it probably would have been an entire decade.

Pujols been bad for a long time. Even after steroid testing, Bonds was still the most feared hitter in the game till the end of his career. Manny Ramirez was better than Pujols for a longer period of time. And few others as well. Also, baseball doesn't test for blood doping. So, you really have no idea what Pujols was on.
