We're coming off of a high as Dusty's family left town, only to get some disheartening news about loved ones back home. The ups and downs are difficult to get through, and that's when we really lean on our faith. We're taking you through a week in the life, what we eat, how we workout, time with new friends, and round it out with a sit-down chat about our faith as Christians. Absolutely about relationship not religion and everyones journey is different. If you think about the sacrifice that was made for our sins so that we can have this conversation and hearts and lives can be changed, it is mind blowing. Jesus did not go to the cross unknowing of what was to happen. He cried out, to the point of sweating drops of blood, asking God if there was any other way, to take this burden from him, but he surrendered to his father's will knowing he would be separated from him in that instant. Knowing he would have to endure unfathomable pain, but his obedience brought him back to the Father. We are never promised a "pain free" life, but we do have the promise that we are never alone. Thank you for being open and honest with your faith. Lives will be touched because of your obedience ❤️

I am moving back to the Tampa area in two weeks. Just sold our home in Phoenix. I love the West Coast, but it's time to go home. I think the plandemic changed all our lives forever.
Amen and Amen! My relationship with Jesus and His saving grace and sacrifice on the cross for me is the one ☝️ thing that gives me strength and power to deal with the ups and downs of life. His love helps me to love others.
The diet originally intended for man was the diet given by God in the Garden of Eden, which was plant-based.
Thank you so much for sharing your life and spirituality with us. I like to say I am a Plant-based Christian who doesn't drink. I don't fit into a lot of people's boxes, and I am okay with that. 😉

What a beautiful video . I just love your videos and your family . Being a Christian in todays world is getting more difficult , I constantly feel like I’m being made to feel crazy lol. I have had many jobs and on weds nights I lead a student ministry , I specifically lead the high school girls. It is the most important job I’ve ever had . To watch these kids on their walk with Jesus and grow in their faith is a beautiful thing to witness . Giving Jesus my heart has made me a better wife and mother . I think I needed to hear this today. I actually just burst into tears with what you had to say. I have fallen in and out of love with being a Christian and I guess for some reason I felt what you had to say here struck a cord. I'm still figuring that out.. Whilst I am by no means suffering materialistically, I have not been in a good place emotionally for a very, very, very long time and not once have I questioned whether Christianity might help me resolve matters. I love hearing u speak about your faith. Also, a whole food plant based diet is biblical. U r eating the diet closest to the perfect eden diet. After man fell into sin God added herbs or vegetables to the diet in order to provide what we need for the slow decaying nature which we didnt need before the fall because we had tree of life. God said we would surely die if we ate of the forbidden tree. Out of His love and mercy He gave us the herbs after. There is also another diet that came into the picture. It is one that consumes flesh. Prior to the flood, man was not given permission to eat flesh. But God did give permission right after the flood. However, it wasn’t a command to eat flesh; only permission. What u will see in the Bible after man has been allowed to eat flesh, is that their life span drastically declined. Adam lived 900 plus years and many antediluvians did so too, but after the flood it went down extremely fast and at most we can live to 120 years. But these days even that is a very rare occurrence. What we do see today is that those that choose a plant based diet do live a longer and healthier life and it’s because we r living closer to what God had originally planned for us. Your diet also helps keep your body clean for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Thus our relationship with God is strengthened. Remember that the Bible says our body is a temple. We must take care of it. There is still much more for u to learn spiritually. My suggestion to everyone is to put aside all other literature that can subtly introduce ideas that r unbiblical if not now then later, and instead go to the word of God alone. Search His word every day and He will reveal to u His desire and purpose for u. The Lord is coming very soon. We must all have an unshakable faith because it is faith alone that saves us, but it is because of our love for God that we do good works. It is the fruit of the spirit. May the Lord bless u all continually and may your love for Him know no bound.

Excellent video Dustin and Erin and I believe that we're living in the time period Jesus Christ referred to in the question mentioned in Matthew 24:3 and that verse 14 is being fulfilled today. Sorry to hear about your grandmother and other loved ones going through a hard time and 2 Timothy 3:1 is certainly going through fulfillment because it mentions that there would be critical times hard to deal with during the last days of not the planet and humans but of this system of things and then there will be a paradise earth and this will include a resurrection of the dead ( Acts 24:15). Love your little family. Your presence is what I love the most and that can only come from Jesus himself. When people ask me how I know Jesus/God is real my only answer is because I have a personal relationship with him. It really is hard to explain. Thank you for the video. Your chats are my favorite part… raw and honest. Fish, wine and meat can be translated differently. I personally don’t believe he consumed any of it. But that’s just me. What you said about not needing to kill to survive, moved me. It’s so true. Thanks again!

I love the chat at the end! I consider myself a Christian and a spiritual person. I was also raised Catholic but have some disagreements with the religion. but it did give me the foundation of my beliefs and faith.. I have in the past had issues with organized religion and have a lot of frustration with certain Christian groups who talk down about other Christians or put themselves above other religions. They call themselves Christians but then they don't act like they're caring Christians! Those involved with political issues are so closed- minded towards other people's beliefs! We should be able to have a discussion without it getting hateful! I have a lot of the same questions that you guys bring up and it's nice to hear that other people have questions and it's okay to not be checking all the boxes with a specific Church religious group and still be true to your faith... I appreciate that you share this and that you're not being preachy! I think a lot of people feel the way that the two of you do about religion and it's nice to know that I'm not alone in my questioning!
@@ashtonlynnmarie I did read your other posts. Well said! I just think people should have their own right to decided and not be persecuted for it with regard to abortion.... It's between that person and god to deal with that situation! Don't like Christians who judge other people and ram their morals and beliefs down people's throats! We've just lost the civility in our discussions! Caring and accepting is what I've known Christians to be in the past and I'm not seeing that announcing intolerance and hatred!
@@ashtonlynnmarie yes I have experienced that exactly! I feel like everybody has tunnel vision for one opinion you're not allowed to deviate from their opinion and view. You hit the nail on the head! I feel like if you go to church you can't be yourself it's just too much fakeness and not expressing your own personality and feelings just really made me not want to go and be a part of that! It's nice to know that others feel the same and very nice chatting with you.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father, but by Him. Remember, the first step is repentance, coming to the understanding that we are a wretched sinner, and only Christ's sacrifice on the cross was good enough to pay the debt for our sins. None of us are good. If we are truly saved, the Holy Spirit will tell us when we have sinned and need to repent, and we can always run back to God. "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" - Acts 3:19. We can then place our faith and trust in Him, and seek to do His will. ❤️✝️

Love these videos! And the final question about whether being vegan is biblical is the one I was hoping you’d address. So often Christian have the attitude/opinion that God gave humans animals to use. And He did to an extent. In times of famine and hardship to survive, sure. But that is so far from the case in developed countries. I personally don’t believe God wanted humans to take advantage of animals and their bodies for profit which is something I hope more and more Christians will agree with. Anyway. Thank you for pointing that out I sometimes feel like the church and the organized religion sometimes gets in the way of God and faith! And I get really annoyed that there are some Christians that treat other Christians poorly or place themselves above everyone else or talk down about different religious groups within Christianity. This is kind of turned me off to going to church but I've never loset my faith and my beliefs. I was raised cradle Catholic too. There are things I don't agree with in the Catholic church but the basic foundation has stayed with me.
I love that you said you are mad you cannot hear Him. I can definitely relate. I read one book, unfortunately not in English to recommend it, but this guy was saying how God actually talks to you but you don't see it. Through other people, actions... How many times you've felt down and suddenly someone you didn't expect calls you, or you see something inspiring. I always feel oh that was you JC. :)
It also helps me listening to people who are religious talking about their faith. I would recommend Yvonne Orji, an actress but an inspiring Christian.

I heard eating uncooked oats, or oats that haven’t been soaked for several hours, contain antinutrient phytic acid, which binds to minerals like iron and zinc, making it difficult for your body to absorb those minerals. So I never add them to my daughters smoothies. Am I understanding this wrong? Anyones input would be appreciated :)

I wasn’t sure I would enjoy your video, but I watched the entire episode and I did enjoy it. I understand where you are and your questions. I am 62 years old, born in the Catholic faith, but for the past 40 years or so, was not active in the faith. I stopped going to Mass and completely turned away from my faith. As I get older, I find myself coming back to my faith. I have questions, like you do and it relieves me to hear that you do. I ask myself, do I have so little faith, that I have to question all these things. I believe in God and in Jesus Christ. I believe he is our salvation. But, I still have questions. I would love to hear more in a podcast or even another TH-cam video. Thanks for all you do and for sharing your thoughts and faith with us.

I think in both areas both healthy life style and faith the regular renewal is quite essential. Without asking ourselves why we live as we do it's easy to lose the path. Thank you again for sharing!

I have been watching a lot of your new stuff over the past year, but there are some older videos I’ve been browsing. I love this one on faith! I totally believe that eating well helps your faith. If you take care of your body, you’ll have more clarity for spiritual growth as well. All things work together in Christ. Body, mind, spirit and relationships. I am a member of the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Because of my faith and our “word of wisdom”. I have gone down the road of learning about the plant based diet and applying it to my life the past year. I feel so good when I’m diligently eating this way! I love your thoughts on faith and works. What a tough balance. I know the lord loves effort and blesses us for it, but he also loves our faith! I love those moments where he gives tender mercies; those moments when he shows up when you’re not expecting it just to say…you got this, I love you, I’m walking beside you. Those are the moments that strengthen my faith. It shows me how merciful he is. No matter how hard I try, I still need him and rely on him. Especially with changes I’m working on. Faith and works is beautiful. I love your Channel. Keep up the good work!

Letting go of control, letting go of fear, and trusting God in all situations has been my hardest lesson. I, too, got caught up in am I doing everything right to get to Heaven?? But Jesus really helped me over time get through this. I’m still learning also to just talk to Him like a friend, and put Him #1 in each day. Prayer is powerful and Jesus has gotten me through so much lately- things I would’ve fallen apart from in the past- like giving away my sweet, sweet puppy, and my father who is losing his battle with MS.Thank you so much for talking about this. Love that He saved us by His grace and we don’t have to “earn our way to heaven” although yes, we are to hold up our cross and follow Him daily- always being in prayer-walking and talking with Him regardless where we are. He knows our thoughts before we even speak them. Sometimes I’ll say it in my head because don’t want the enemy to hear. But when I say praise and thanks, I surely say that out loud so the enemy hears!! Amen. Also it says to be in the world but not of the world. We are to be different and always stand for truth-what God’s word says-many times we’ll be attacked whether verbally or even could be physically nowadays. Gotta put on the whole armour of God daily. Keep fighting the good fight. Love y’all! It’s about a relationship with Jesus, NOT religion.

Beautiful video, such a blessing. My dad passed away in late August this year. My faith in Jesus, my personal relationship with him is what strengthens me each and every day.
