You are amazing, I learn so much from you, thank you for passing on your knowledge
You are so welcome! Thank you for your kind words!! xx😊
Thank you for this. I just started sewing a year ago and this pattern is on my bucket list. Thank you for all the insight!
You are so welcome! I truly recommend making a test piece, I used some old sheets. Good luck! !
Your jacket turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing all those tips. I'd love a moto-style jacket but am a little apprehensive about the scope of the project. Your modifications always make so much sense to me-in fact I adopted many of your changes in my Chaval coat and I just finished making piping for my next Breezy blouse. I haven't made a big 4 pattern in years and I'm afraid I would need to span the 14-16 size range. Any suggestions for that problem? Thanks again for sharing your experience.
Thank you for remainding me of the Breezy blouse, I have some cotton that will be perfect for the pattern.
I think my best advice is to go by your chest measurement, like I did in that shirt I made a few weeks ago, following the Palmer Pltesch method, so using your upper bust as the full bust in the pattern. I think that works pretty well. In big 4 I should make a 16 based on their chart for bust and waist , but that would have been huge in this case. And I always make a toile, especially in a elaborate project like this where so much can go wrong, fit-wise :).
