thank you so much for making these guides! i'm not just new to FFXIV, but new to modern video games in general, so i don't usually catch the meaning of stuff like symbols for where to go and colors to denote effects, much less knowing what to do in these big fights. i've been having a lot of fun meeting new people through the game and your content is exactly what i needed. i watched other raid guides that didn't specify exactly what MY part would be as a tank so i was still confused. now it's much better, i can contribute the way i'm supposed to, and watching you play has helped me technique-wise too! i love that you point out which moves i should be using Interject for. thanks for helping make the game so much more accessible and fun :D
Thanks man! The first raid I did was a terrible experience, I pissed off a lot of people from dying so much. I didn’t want to do another raid but it’s mandatory to progress, so thank you so much for this!
Yea most content is mandatory due to story reasons. Usually I always suggest just following the crowd when it comes to content you are running for the first time, or watching a video to become more accustom to the mechanics. I hope the video was helpful.
I had a similar experience with the first part of this story. Some guy swearing at everyone and calling us idiots. Some people need to realise it’s a lot of peoples first time raiding and you shouldn’t expect everyone to know the mechanics on their first try.
Very true. Usually Final Fantasy fans are a lot more chill and inviting to new players. In my almost 13 years of playing the game I've only experienced this once or twice. Maybe the individual was just having a bad day or is more accustom to playing games with more hostile environments. Either way I hope this doesn't become a frequent thing as all players should be able to join a new game.
