I've taken this exact same ride several times since the Regional Connector opened, and it was a similar experience. Very pleasant and no issues. More people are riding now, too, which is great to see. All the stations looked clean. The trains are cleaned when they reach the ends of the lines and everyone has to get off.
interesting to see LA now. I went to UCLA. I used to take the Santa Monica #1 bus from my science building all the way to Santa Monica pier and sometimes study on the beach. That was my only break for a dirt poor student. The train would have been amazing.
Good memories! You had the luxury of time to travel by bus. LA is improving one day at a time, from walking to horses to buses to trains. Who knows what the future holds 🤔
The E Line is pretty cool. I recently took it to Culver City so I could see the Culver City Stairs. There's this really cool and mysterious building at the La Cieniga and Jefferson stop.. It really stands out for its unique architecture.
Good report. Most TH-cam videos make L.A. metro look like a no-man's land, dealing with homeless and the like, but it's not that bad. Most people don't start the trip from East L.A., so it's not that long, but where the train goes from Downtown to USC it can get bogged down with street traffic. Unfortunately these lines were built on the cheap, so they need to cross intersections. I haven't ridden the line in a while, but maybe again soon.
Appreciate the vote of confidence 🙏🏼 thanks for sharing ur insight. The traffic light stopping the light rail is interesting but at least we have street view 🥰
The LRT lines are not built on the cheap. All the lines are at least partially grade separated. Some more than others. They all also run on dedicated ROWs. The E line is grade separated at various stations, including 6 underground stations and 2 or 3 aerial stations and viaducts on the Westside. There is a curved underground tunnel near Figueroa to grade separate the track there, too. The issue with stopping at signal lights within LA City has to do with the LADOT not allowing it yet. LA Metro has no say over it. I'm hoping LADOT finally allows signal prioritization for the A and E lines in time for the Olympics. That will make the trip a little faster and allow for increased frequencies, too.
Glad u reviewed this since i havent used it once and was always curious about it. I follow other popular travel vloggers and seen urs on recommended a couple times but didnt click until now. Looks like i shouldve subscribed to you a long time ago. i liked the clips you chose and narration, you have a lovely energy about ya! 😄
The C and K lines will be reconfigured in the near future, resulting in both lines connecting to the under construction LA Metro/LAX Transit Center station. The C line will go north to the new station, and the K line will take over the southern section of the current C line.
At 3:24 seconds in the video that Soto station is not a part of the regional connector that’s the 1st street subway and Boyle Heights. The regional connector starts at Little Tokyo Station and ends north of the seventh Street Metro Center, Station.
Love riding the train whenever I visit Los Angeles area! Wish they would run past midnight though! You make me laugh whenever you ask the metro employees if anything crazy happens today😂😂😂! Since you always ask that on the train ...I will tell that this one dude kept calling everyone ugly and stupid from willowbrook station to irwindale station non stop in early may when I was on vacation in Los Angeles😂😂😂! Thanks for sharing beautiful lady😘😘😘 xox
I think they changed that to A line. I’m in the works of covering that line but it’s a pretty long journey so it’s taking awhile 😅 Hopefully good memories on your side
Ride looks like it took an hour and 12 minutes? That's not bad. Why were you traveling outside the car to move to the next car- weren't you able to move to the next car inside the train? There is news reporting some who recently visited Havasupai have gotten ill- hope you are healthy and well.
Oh if only all of the passengers were like you, the metro system would be full and the experience lovely. My mouth hung open for a while when I realized that you left your bicycle alone for that long, on lacmta? And it was still there when you returned? Wow, just Wow!
I should go visit that church on Figueroa and Adams by Ortho station . I think they film movies on that church. But lots of beautiful weddings n quinceñearas
Please be careful, the rails in LA have been especially dangerous lately with ppl getting stabbed. Crime is up on them and it hasnt been addressed properly.
I take the A to Covina and it always stink - saw several homeless w 💩in their pants speading germ when they sit on the seats. i usually hav to burn my clothes afterwards 😮
You must work for MTA or a subcontractor for them. There is very little homeless in your videos, and no one’s selling stuff on the trains and no craziness. That’s why I think you work for Metro. Prove me wrong.
It has gotten better though. I see more police, Metro staff, and security personnel at Metro Rail stations and trains. Ridership also continues to increase every month on the E Line. According to Metro's official ridership website, the average daily ridership at the beginning of 2024 was only 38,000. Now, there is an average of 48,000 riders every day.
Extremely dangerous riding the metro. People have been beaten, stabbed, have had acid thrown on them and some have been shot and killed. You're lucky nothing happened. I tried it once and would NEVER use it again, especially as a woman. There still isn't enough security.
I wish u safety anywhere. If u have seen the video, there were a lot of female solo travellers. Old & young. Students ride this regularly. Things can happen even in the safest areas & we must always throw caution…
@@babetravelling I don't think you understand how bad it is here in LA. You're young, you haven't experienced enough to really understand that you could be seriously harmed or murdered on these trains. Do what you want.

More people should ride. Gas is expensive and there are too many cars! The train really gives you a sense of just how big LA is 🚆🚆
That sounds all well and good but ppl have been getting stabbed on the rails and crime is up, no thanks
Very true.

Seems like a great way to get around LA and avoid all the traffic. Is it free?
No it's not free
$1.75 with a free transfer if needed. Quite cheap compared to transit in other cities in the country.
@@Geotpf You can have multiple free transfers in two hours. Also, rides are free if you make more than three rides (spend $5) in a day.
