Hey my friend, thanks for raising that question! At our coffee shop we Aim to work with highest standards and do not compromise in quality of the coffee that we serve. In terms of milk that being wasted it is a part of the process since we cannot serve the same stemmed milk to next customer so we discard it, it also depends on what drinks we make for example if we are making large drinks there’s less milk wastage and more milk wastage for short drinks because we have to add a certain amount of milk in the pitcher in order to steam it to the desired texture (foam in the milk depends on the coffee that we make). Plus, Not going to deny - as a human being working manually under pressure we tend to make mistakes here and there that causes milk wastage too. Here in London there is no such thing as feeding stray dogs or cats because there’s none, we are trying to work out best practices to minimise the waste of milk until we find option to make a good use of wasted milk.
I don’t see myself as capable enough to advise you on that, but I’ve asked my manager who’s got years of experience for the advice and his response is to enjoy every step of coffee making process, that way you can do things in a better way.
