Hello there. Thanks for the video, I'm in the middle of discovering Minimax and I'm also in the process of putting together a video using this A.I., which I find very effective. I'm discovering the video at the same time, because I was more focused on creating visuals (with Flux). I really appreciate your work process. Thanks again for your information - Hello from France 🇫🇷
Hey, great to hear from France! Minimax is a really good generator, it has super smooth animations and follows the prompts well. So I think it's a good choice 👍
Every image/video generation company needs to release a unlimited plan like runway. My midjourney 15h fast plan just finished after 11 days :D And im not half way on my work.
I've only had for 3 months or so. It's a single payment for a year and then if you want to upgrade you need to pay again. I'm not sure how many devices can be used
Minimax is incredible! I’m using the free credits every day, and I’m considering signing up for a plan. I have a question: sometimes there are strange glitches or errors when creating videos from photos. For example, I made a video of a chihuahua dressed as a rapper dancing breakdance, but when the video plays, at one point the shoe turns into a hoof, which looks odd. Or, when I made a video of people eating, one of the characters suddenly lost their eyes. Is there any way to fix these issues? Any advice?? Thanks
Those deformations will happen from time to time. Try running the same prompt again. The less motion and change you ask for compared to the original photo, the more consistent the videos are
@@stefanotramer1195 I haven't made any for product photography yet. I'd recommend using a product photo you like as a style reference to help with getting the lighting and style
1296 x 720 is a weird format. It's why there are slight black bars above and below your generated video. 16:9 is 1280 x 720 at 720p. The Minimax generation I've just downloaded is 1280 x 720. Perhaps they've corrected this, or is it that your input image was 1296 x 720? Curious. Anyway, thanks for your videos - I have found them most helpful, especially your comparison of Minimax and Kling. I've been using Kling for a few months and was not aware of Minimax - it's great to see a generator that actually understands prompts fully! 😄
It's possible my input images had a weird aspect ratio. I think the generated videos follow the same AR as the input images. And great to know you've found these videos helpful. Minimax is pretty amazing!
@@taoprompts Inspired by your video I tried using MiniMax for my short "The Lighthouse". I tested it beforehand and it seemed to work as expected but, apart from the opening shot of the island in that short, I found it refused to generate clean videos - always areas tearing away or distorting. I gave up and went back to using Kling. I hope MiniMax fix it - it is certainly worth keeping an eye on!
@@cbnewham_ai You're video looks great! And also super creepy. I've found that Minimax is a bit more consistent than Kling, maybe it depends on the style of video you're making
It will ve great to have a video about flux. Using .jpg, .CR2, .HEIC with a short word as prompt provides insanely realistic photos. For example, "selfie.jpg"
Hi. Thanks for the video. Have you wondered who will watch your videos? Where do you distribute them, online? Do you give them to an American producer? Who sees them?
I use it myself. It's good for what it is, although you might not always need to upscale to 4k resolution. Capcut has a free video upscaler that's worth trying first.
What I want to know is how fast is their fast generation if you pay for it. Right now on the free 3 days I have to wait 20-25 minutes for a video the generate. If I get the paid plan, do I get priority?
Hey Tao, i need your help ! i created a pov shot about walking in the market, but only pov person moving and somehow the other character remain unmoved, can u give me some word to add in prompt to make them moving ? tks
I have used Minimax and constant face pics made in replicate and its best you don't put a lot of dramatic movements in your prompt or the face just morphs into different characters altogether. Subtle movements are best.
@@nog1462 Same rules apply. You are using AI video models made in Asia and the more dramatic the movement you will find that your character starts morphing and developing Asian characteristics. So slow subtle movements work best if you want to maintain a proper visual representation of the person.
I'll have to test it out more to know if it's better than Kling, my feeling is they will be good for different types of videos. The animation does appear smoother in Minimax
It was thousand times faster than Kling for me! But don’t all this settings. But render time is some of the most important in a trail before paying. 3 min or 3 days? You tell me. But this wasn’t understanding my prompt that good.
For paid plans, the wait time is faster. I think the prompt understanding is both Kling and minimax are good (compared to other platforms), it just depends on whichever one you personally prefer
I appreciate the effort here, but I'll be waiting for a video generation tool that isn't so closely tied to the Chinese government through its investment partners. MiniMax has major backing from Chinese firms like Alibaba and Tencent, which are heavily influenced by the government. Given China's stated aspirations to lead in AI technology, including military applications, I have concerns about privacy and the potential for state influence. I'd prefer a tool developed without these strategic government ambitions.
Minimax in my opinion, it's not that good ... very "plastic" look all the time, very fake style like composed from separate elements that not belong together, the light it's cartoony, edges of the elements are not delicate.
@@taoprompts It's not about the motion, it's about the photography as if you compare different movies depending on the "Director Of Photography" a human professional dedicated to that production role on movies, the look of each movie it's very dependent on those skills and taste of that person, ok now imagine the same for AI Video Generation, Runway, Kling and Minimax are using different "Director Of Photography" ... I don't like the Director Of Photography of Minimax, that's all. And that photography style, it's independent from the image style that you use as reference from Image to Video. Strange that it's happening, but it does. BTW, I am a photographer, since about 30 years.
Your videos are the best on this subject, out of all I have watched. They are consistently concise, well planned, clear and easy to follow. Thank you!
