Without exaggerating, this is so much better than most coming of age, especially centered around a trans protagonist is.
The portrayal of the character, insecurities, parent issues, friendships, growing up, even the scene where she forces herself on him - and it not being a one time thing to be mentioned - is all so perfect!
Edit: Also I love you for not using the miscommunication trooe, like with the confession or when the mom found out he's trans. Communication trope is very under appreciated.

i dont understand why I put off watching this for 13 days, this is PERFECTION. the way you portrayed michi was probably more accurate than most trans gl/gcmms ive seen, he felt like a real trans guy. i really liked this since i'm non-binary, it was really comforting to watch michi's transition :3 (although i expect nothing less than great from you, your glmms are amazing!)
