If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by a mid-roll ad. I have them disabled on all of my content, but TH-cam has a confirmed bug that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. It's not just my channel - this has been a problem across the entire platform since at least mid-2022. TH-cam's engineers know about the bug and what causes it to happen, but unfortunately, they have not provided any information about when (or if) they will fix it.
The bug tends to manifest as a 30-second mid-roll ad played around the 6-hour mark, and it disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I have been investigating this for a very long time, and I go into more detail about my findings in this video: th-cam.com/video/ndeUVgZMh1Y/w-d-xo.html
If you are affected by the bug but still want to access my content, I recommend that you view the video's description and try one of the alternatives I have provided, such as Spotify or Rumble. If you want to stay on TH-cam, you'll find that I have live stream versions of my most popular content, and they tend to be safe from the bug - but not always.
The only guaranteed way to never get ads on TH-cam is to subscribe to TH-cam Premium, which I understand is not an option for everyone. As it turns out, the reason I do not need to play ads is because my channel makes the vast majority of its revenue from TH-cam Premium.
You are welcome to reply to this comment with information about what happened to you. Historically, it has been helpful for me to know what type of device you are on, which app or browser you use, the approximate timestamp of when the ad played, and what company/product/service the ad was for.

Apparently accounts and videos that say “no ads” TH-cam’s still adding ads to. Probably their way of trying to push people to buy their subscription but I refuse!! If I have to eventually go record the rain outside in my phone and then play that every nights then I will LOL but like she said. Yes.. thank you for no ads. Although I never mind a few ads in the beginning or very end. It’s the middle that wakes my sleeping child I worry about lol 😅
@@AdrenalineJunkie2323 Agreed. Those are called mid-roll ads and they're the worst. I actually have a support ticket open with TH-cam right now about all of this, and - fingers crossed - they said they might have figured out why it's happening! No word on the root cause or when it will be fixed, but I couldn't even get them to admit it was happening at first! Anyway, yes, there are always options and alternatives to help us get the rest we need.
Seriously for people who have babies this is a huge blessing to not have ur kid wake up because of ads.

I love the no ads !!! Other videos like this WITH ads can be annoying since I play them on a projector, and as a light sleeper, the immediate bright light or the music / talking almost always wakes me up. I stay sleeping through this and the sound is just MUAH beautiful ❤ thank you ! 🎉

Bless you for not shoving ads down our throat. I’m considering getting off TH-cam and all other commercial driven forms of media. It’s nice to not be rudely awakened from sleep with a loud blasting commercial that even the neighbors can hear.
The ads are getting quite excessive, I agree. There's not much I can do about it, but a video like this simply shouldn't have ads in the middle of it. As far as I can tell, we're probably safe on that front... for now. 🤷♂️ I do have links to other ways to play this audio if you need to give one a try.

I was cleaning a giant factory shed out when a massive storm came through, it rained/hailed so hard it was physically painful to hear, and standing nose to nose it was almost impossible to speak/hear, just a touch loud.

I haven't done that yet, but it's a fantastic idea. So far I've just been setting up outside, but next time it's raining and hitting the windows just right, I might pull out the sampler to get some of that. 😁

i smoke marijuana a lot because of my ibs (in pain almost everyday) and don’t dream because marijuana apparently suppresses dreams or something idk anyway i have been playing this lately and have had the most vivid dreams ? is there and explanation for that? maybe because i’m so calmed down from this sound because my other video i used a lot for the nights got ads suddenly.
Hmm, your guess is as good as mine. 🤔 We do still "hear" things while we sleep, so any audio you play overnight could potentially make its way into your unconscious mind and cause/affect dreams. I haven't studied the subject all that extensively, though, so I couldn't say - and with the added variable of the substances you're using for relief, that's way above my paygrade! 😂 I should let you know that I do have ads disabled, but sometimes people still get them like halfway through the video and it startles them awake. There's nothing I can do about it. I've reported it to TH-cam and they've told me they're going to roll out a fix this week, but you never know. If you DO get an ad, please know I did not put it there. If you check the video description, you'll see that I offer alternative ways to access this audio, so you can always try one of those if it comes to that.

Ugh. That does pretty much defeat the purpose. Unfortunately, TH-cam is 100% not going to listen to me if I ask them to do anything about that - a lot of the platforms have something similar built in these days, especially if you're watching on a smart TV like a Roku.

I'm sorry that happened to your daughter. This happens to a very small number of viewers, and it's a TH-cam-wide issue. It frustrates me to no end, but I have no control over it. I have a pinned comment with more information about it, which you may have missed.
The latest information I have about the problem is that every time someone experiences a mid-roll ad and comments about it, I send that comment to TH-cam Partner Support. I have had to send so many, they actually asked me to stop. I asked them yesterday morning for an update on the progress of their investigation and they said they don't have any news yet. So, I guess we all get to wait around and keep hoping we won't get mid-roll ads on videos where mid-roll ads have been explicitly disabled (like this one).
May I recommend that you try one of the alternatives I list in the video's description? No one has ever reported an ad on the Rumble version, and the TH-cam live stream version is very popular right now as well (I have to assume it's because no one gets ads during it).
And for what it's worth, even though they told me they've had enough, I just sent your comment to them because I am quite upset about what happened here. My viewers shouldn't be startled awake after trusting my content, and I shouldn't have to apologize and direct them to other platforms because TH-cam is unable/unwilling to resolve this.
