I am retired and live in a new apt building for senior citizens. I have my own very nice apt, but the huge take-away is I unfortunately live in an apt directly below a sociopathic old lady who came from an urban ghetto. So she had her own mentally unfit manner of living by deliberately constantly banging on her floor to annoy me. After talking to apt mgrs and nothing being done I had to look for a solution. This does it. I sleep a lot better now and the sound masks the constant idiocy coming from above me. The old ghetto lady's latest effort is to put on her floor directly above me a device that emits a constant very low frequency hum. Esp noticable at night when I am trying to sleep. The rain sounds did the trick by masking that hum and the very soothing sound helps me fall asleep. I just run it through my TV sound system and put it on the timer to shut itself off after a few hours. Thanks for this wonderful recording.

A lot of us have it playing on our smart tv. Video display is large and lovely and sound is surrounding. I play ambience almost 24 hours a day. Ocean, rain, Halloween, ship, coffee shop, lo-fi, Christmas, etc.

I did not fall asleep in 3 minutes. I've been lying here in bed in the dark for a half an hour now and the screen just got bright and lit up with a like suggestion. I didn't like that. But this is a pleasant sound. I will go to sleep no matter what it takes. I'm sure I will...I pray I will sleep.
