Great stuff as per usual. Question: As a designer are you 'stuck' to a particular set of 'trends' you just vibe with? I find myself still preferring things simple, not necessarily minimal but towards that end. And I guess I struggle with the other styles like maximalism. I even struggle with using 100% of the width of the page sometimes :)... Do you think it's better for designers to branch out or perhaps to specialise and hone their own styles?
Yes it is important for designers to use and hone their own styles. It removes the monotony that comes from similar styles copy pasted across websites. Perfecting your own style also makes you attractive to clients as well.
That's just how trends work. I still remember the time when minimalistic flat designs were taking off. At the time I couldnt understand why many companies were redesigning their logo and website in this direction. But now, this is the new "normal". There will be a time when the minimalistic designs will be considered dated as more people adapt bolder design trends. Then at some point, we will go back to using flat designs again.
2024 trends.... shows sites with 15+ years ....Hahahaha. Why does everyone keep doing it? Joke aside, I really like how you presented every style, and gave a few tips on how to implement those. Although it is a very minimalistic, in such a big and saturated web, there are way more things to cover than just "fonts, colors, and images FX. The tech stack for some of these designs is insane, while others that look overcomplicated, are actually simple, but require some technical knowledge. (like the Bruno Simon 3d Website). Anyway, good watch... keep it up.
@@arno_1741 I think it appears across the entire video? in all the website example mockups? It looks like a retro CRT filter overlay with very big pixel, I guess that's why it's been called pverlay?
This vedio's designs are easier to do in CSS than it is on Figma! A word of advice to follow!!!
Well, I use wix studio. And, most of them are pretty easy to do there.
Me watching the video:- I can design these
Me in figma:- WTF😂😂😂
hahahaha same
Bro add the links to these websites please, good work!
the grid overlay, and that perspective skewing of the websites makes it difficult to see the actual design and experience it
what's with the CRT filter?
W Video thanks
90% of this is brand identity
Terrible job with the pixel grid my dude. Please re-upload it again so we can see the actual designs.

Fantastic vid and highlights and examples 🎉
Where did you find the websites?
instead of moving into more modern design approach, the industry moving towards more classic and old styled trend! lol. ugh.
