  • This is a strange one. Was asked to take a look at this Deutsche Wurlitzer OMT CD Jukebox from about 2007. Recalled seeing these in the 45 version for sale, back in the 1990's. The all-German electronics are a bit different, yet the same in most respects. The mechanisms can be switched over to do either CD or 45's. Never been inside one, & quickly found the defect. The missing display segment can be tackled at a later date. Production has ceased some time ago on these & the company was bought out by the Gibson guitar folks. Replacement parts are hard to find, and can be pricey.

I'm pretty impress with the engineering of this machine. After working on it what do you think? Is it a good design?

This design is all German and speaks for itself. It is different and unique. It can take some time getting used to the design, but it is quality.

I’ve got a 1015 but with 45’s can’t seem to get it to play. Work fine, moved to another house and now it’s not working.

Did you ever get it fixed? There is no way that I can do what these folks are talking about, and I'm not sure I could hire it done . . . .

I remember these at Sam's Club for about 3K$ perhaps 15 years ago.

Is very similar to the 70's mechanism found in 45's "statesman" and "zodiac" models, pulls
up the turntable to release the record from the grip.

Actually, I have fixed two of these by just putting a hose clamp around the K7 actuator. I was going to order it but it work just as well on the first one. I needed the jukebox to work right that night, and could not be waiting for that part to be shipped.

My K7 actuating lever is broken as well. I think I am going to try and make one out of 1/4" aluminum and thread in my own set screw. Someone it must be under some sort of stress and mine cracked

Does your video show how to replace the broken part

I tried to set the K7 actuator with no luck. Tried several positions. Some positions will make it stop the CD on the player and not play, some positions just stop at the courousel. Not sure where it needs to be exactly and what position the arm needs to be when you set it. I then get error code 0306 when the CD gets on to the player and doesn’t play. When I try to play a song the display goes through all of the numbers and the gives error 0306.

Error code probably is 4706 if the segment were not missing in the last digit.

i have a 1015 where the display wont even turn on. We recently hired someone who claimed he could fix it but was unsuccessful. I have a few questions if you have the time: It doesnt say "disc" on the display screen. Is that original to that model or is it a replacement piece? Do you have any recommendations for a repair man in the Southern California area for this machine. Do you work in that area at all? Thank you in advance.

Hello it’s been sometime since I serviced that unit. Nowhere near California unfortunately. However this is the gentleman I was able to order Some replacement parts with instructions. I suggest you try to search out the service manual online. They are available believe there was one inside the unit. Lastly check the power switch on the back of the unit. This one was defective. Then it would be just the usual power supply checks. Not turning on completely should be pretty simple to solve. Try not to over troubleshoot. Hope this helps. The display gets its data from the main processor board. Take plenty of pictures before touching anything.

look at the flippers website. I found the solution to my problems there. A lot of the strange non mechanical ones are caused by the transistors bs377, they need changing out. replace with 2n2222 in reverse.
The website has a scanned document from Wurlitzer Service stating the fault and wiring diagrams of where the transistors are

Going to throw this out there and hope someone may be able to answer my question. I own a Wurlitzer "One More time" 45 RPM Jukebox since 1995. I would like to upgrade it and hoping my idea can be done. Does anyone know if a Electronic Company sells a device to Stream Music to play in my Wurlitzer "One More Time" Jukebox? If it is possible it would be the greatest upgrade to this Juke Box I happen to feel. Everyone of us who own this Juke Box know it holds just so many 45's but I wouldn't of had it any other way back when I purchased mine. I saw a little later on that they were also making them with CD's. I almost thought of getting another for my finished basement with CD's but I stepped back from the Picture and thought that would be over kill being I also have a 200 CD Sony Changer down in my finished basement connected to a Stereo. Today I have plenty of songs loaded up in my iTunes on my PC. It works out well for me because I have my iTunes also on my iPhone so I can listen to them in my car and also stream them to one of the Soundbars connected to one of my TV's. I also thought that maybe I can somehow Convert a soundbar to my Wurlizer Jukebox. Think of it having the juke box on with the Bubblers and lights going and with a soundbar out of sight being able to stream music from ones iPhones iTunes or even say Spotify and Pandora. I would like to hear from others as to their thoughts. I may share this same post on some other Facebook Video's of the Wurlitzer Jukebox looking for answers also so I hope no one mines.

I own the 45 version, purchased long ago and it stopped working. My only chance is to hire it done. Does anybody know any likely candidates in So Cal?

@@Farmradio Thanks! Not surprisingly, no one here in San Diego is interested in making house calls. But first things first, I just ordered a copy of what I hope is the service manual, and will go from there - Thanks!

Hello; I have the same machine, I could play only 25 tracks by CD...Any idea why this happen?

    • @Farmradio
      @Farmradio  8 ปีที่แล้ว

+Ma Sar I'm not sure why only 25. Perhaps a limit that's programmed into it? I would have to review the credits, plays, etc. Unfamiliar. If I find out, I can reply back.
