I want actors to be as little as humanly possible. Why should I care what a person I Hollywood's life is like any more than the cashier at the grocery?
Off-topic, but watch two pre-War British films Hitchcock directed before moving to Hollywood: Robert Donat and Madeleine Carroll in "The 39 Steps" (1935) and Michael Redfern, Margaret Lockwood and Dame May Whitty in "The Lady Vanishes" (1939) - (with excellent supporting performances by Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne as "Charters and Caldicott" - two cricket obsessed Englishmen). There is a lightness of touch in these early comedy-dramas that is missing from the great stodgy puddings he made later in Hollywood.
It doesn't suprise me at all that Stallone, James Woods, Dennis Quaid and Mickey Rourke are pro Trump. Those guys have always been good sports and no-nonsense.

There is only one man that can save Hollywood now - and that man is the greatest actor the world has ever known - Master Thespian.🎉
ACTING!
GENUS!
I was thinking Buddy Cole...
The Hollywood brand has gone the way of Bud Light. Great job guys.
Remember how awesome SNL was when they didn't play favorites.
Imagine how awesome they could have been.
I liked the Mr. Bill Show.
@@chetpomeroy1399 I liked prom noogies.
SNL hasn't been funny in decades.
@@naturallyric84 I remember when SNL wasn't synonymous with cringe.
Johnny Carson was one of the best, he always roasted both sides.
I’ve been ignoring everything Hollywood for years. They give themselves awards what a bunch of egotistical maniacs.
Well said, broken down and reconstructed.
As a blkWoman it's incredibly insulting that KH thought Cardi B or Beyonce would influence my vote 😂😂😂
I would be too. If I was a blkWoman, Sister Rosetta Tharpe could influence me. :-)
My friend's grandmother once told us a story of a writer who went into politics that she heard from her father. While at a meeting after a speech the politician started stating their support for or against what was said some of them would just stand up and agree and when his turn came he stood up disagreed and said half of all of you are sheep. One person stood up in a huff and said he should retract the statement. The writer stoop with a smile and said half of you are not sheep. At this point she said her father laughed uncontrollably and she asked him why and he replied nobody asked about the other half. That is what i think of every time I hear of actors from Hollywood or politician in general.
I would love to see the FNT team sing a song for Trump because it would be hysterical! But not because it's going to change my vote or opinion about anything.
I loved my public libraries perfect rendition of Titus Andronicus. It had me laughing, crying, and in the end wondering about the direction my life was going.
Amen, Paul. And that advice should be directed to the mainstream comic book industry, as well. #MakeComicsGreatAgain
I'm Generation X, meaning that I grew up in a time where celebrities mostly kept their mouths shut and entertained us above all. Modern celebrities have brought this contempt from the public upon themselves for not being able to do that anymore. Whether they were ordered to by their owners & handlers or not. I've no pity for them for being reminded they're not royalty. Act a fool, be treated like one, sez me.
I am still confused of which actors supported Kamala because of their beliefs and which were paid for a performance?
I think the angry Boomers - Streisand, Hamill, DeNiro, Behar, Whoopi, Middler - would have shilled for her regardless. Everyone else was probably only there for the money.
All of them support Democracts out of belief. The belief that it's more profitable to be on their side. ;-)
I was just a kid when The Man from Atlantis came out. For the next 20 years I totally swam like that with my arms down at my side and gyrating my whole body. probably didn't do me any favors during the Senior trip to the beach.
I used to swim the same way.
'OMG, I did the same thing as a kid when I saw that show!'
I am still dancing every day to the song "YMCA" playing in my head.
Im starting to see why actors were detested in the Roman Empire.
Actors were despised all the way up through the Victorian era.
I remember watching you build a Hackintosh. Proof hard work pays off. Thank you Chato.
i miss the days of building hackintoshes. Mine was a triple boot system running tiger, windows, and ubuntu.
@@NoahGooder You can't even really do it anymore. With modern processors anyway.
@@dirkjewitt5037 Oh I know you cant atleast not unless you are in a sweet spot where you can still modify your dsdt to function correctly for the os. But last time I made a hackintost we still had Bios's and GPT and UEFI were still newish tech and required emulation.
Everyone is waiting for the Kamala to Paul phone call.
Hello! Miss vice president...
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
but there is no joy in Loserville-mighty Kamala has struck out.
Given the current state of Hollywood celebrities, I’m starting to see now why Plato argued against actors and artists to have any involvement in politics due to the trouble of sophists infesting Athenian politics in his time. Their disconnect from the general public and their mastery of rhetoric would cause nothing but disorder and strife for the general public
These actors get a few big paydays then start to believe they are worth it.
No coincidence that Hollywood movies have been trash for years now. Woke=Broke.
I want actors to be as little as humanly possible. Why should I care what a person I Hollywood's life is like any more than the cashier at the grocery?
You should care more about the local Cashiers life more then the Hollywood actors, the local issues they face are likely some you share too :D
I never was Alfred Hitchcock fan. Now I am . He was a wise and observe man!!
I like the Trump on Rushmore idea. That would trigger them
Probably the other presidents on it too.
A real actor thanks the editors. Profusely.
It doesn't suprise me at all that Stallone, James Woods, Dennis Quaid and Mickey Rourke are pro Trump. Those guys have always been good sports and no-nonsense.
Noone cares about actors anymore. We havnt had a good one for a long time now.
I find myself loving older era movies more since these modern idiots got into politics.
Most of my favourite actors/singers are older, some are dead and the ones who are still alive, they're completely out of the picture!
I know Jay Leno isn’t a fan of Trump. But at least when asked about the election he still showed some class.
I met Jay a few times.. surprised he wouldn't be a fan
Kelsey Grammar is being punished enough on terrible revival of that Frasier show on Paramount Plus.
I have no idea how much the Keanu Reeves we see in media and memes is just an invention. But he does at least look happy being that invention, unlike many celebrities we see doing the opposite. And if that’s at least true, then he has definitely won at life.
Hollywood should be shut down. I enjoyed social media because it exposes them and their private lives. The more the better. I'm done with actors as a whole.
Hollywood doesn't hear " shut up and sing" often enough.
A hundred years ago you wouldn't mention knowing an actor. Today people are taking life advice from them.
The silent actors from 1924? Lol

Clara Bow. The IT Girl. Personally I blame the fan magazines. I can think of certain authors whose work l really like and from things l have heard are not people would wish to associate with.
I don't disagree with the sentiment, but this is silly. 100 years ago, movies were still a relatively new genre. The technology was still evolving, and it wasn't nearly as much of a cultural force as it is today. Bad example.
A library production of Titus Andronicus!? You’ve been holding out on us - I’m sure they had lots of killer performances!
When Hollywood board meetings become the same as sceens from 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'.
I want to hear CHATO do his MAJOR HOCHSTEDDER voice EVERYTIME he mocks a DEMOCRAT!
I'm among the many DENIZENS about! Happy to be here.
I do not need celebrities, i need a doctor, a dentist, a veterinarian , an engineer , i have an extensive list of what i need, but a celebrity is not one of them, but they need me. They do not put food on my table, but i put food on theirs, but that being said it is not their job to lecture me on what i need to vote for or what to believe, and also i very much doubt any of these celebrities have bought their own groceries to know what real life is like. Also, demonizing your customer is not a winning strategy. Remember, they need us, we do not need them. And yes, I voted Trump!
Glad to see that fame has not seduced you into thinking you are smarter than you are. I appreciate you're being blunt - as long as you don't do your Emily impression.
No, failure has proven that I'm dumber than I thought.
@@CallMeChato My Dad came up with something particularly intelligent this one time - well, more than once but you get the drift - and he smiled and told us: "I'm not as dumb as I look". I immediately replied: "You couldn't be." He just smiled as he mentally erased my name from his will.
Wow. Man from Atlantis. I'm ashamed I remember that show. Great vid, Paul!
Look at that big smile hahaha I love you Chato ❤
I'm here for it, too.
Actors tend to forget that they're not politicians, but just court jesters. Of course it doesn't help that they're from a country where you only have two choices of government: right wing and extreme right wing - not really that complicated, but still.
Perhaps we're just gearing up to the creation of a "Hollywood 2.0"?
Agree. You know, I've come to the conclusion, that back in Hitchcock's days most actors wanted to perform for a living and some became celebrities, whereas now performers just want to become celebrities by acting. Makes sense?
Chato, you had me when you said the word AGOG.
It's one of my favorite words, agog. Only certain people know what agog means. And the best part is, you don't even have to be "COLLEGE EDUCATED" thank you sir, you have earned my respect and subscription.
Amen! Just found your channel via the Jaguar commentary and am loving it all!
Who needs Hollywood when both civil and political & military 'Society' hourly news reveals how insanely entertaining 'real-time' on cell phone can be . . . Plus . . . the popcorn is cheap.
