      From what I read, he didn't immediately tell his bio-mom about the beatings of Phoenix until she died. He kept his mouth shut. Stepbrothers knew she was their punching bag, the boys tried to sneak her food, listen to the Samantha interview again, she said, Phoenix ate and she seemed mad about that.

      I can personally attest to that! They failed me and my siblings completely growing up! We all have deep rooted trauma/mental issues now and some of us made it out alright but some of us aren't doing so well in adulthood. One of my brothers basically lives in prison, theres 2 on drugs slowly killing themselves and we lost 2 siblings in 2011 🥺 had CPS done their job, we would have had the help we needed and got us the hell out of that "home."

      @@christinaspeer9744 Very sorry you experienced that. CPS is a money making, child abusing, satanic organisation and unfortunately it's not just the US who uses the levers of Government to treat children like slaves and animals. Children are resilient though but nevertheless at that stage of their life they should ALL be loved and nurtured and made feel safe. Anyone who involves themselves in doing the opposite deserves to burn in hell for eternity.

    Huge respect and love for Daniel! A 14-year-old did more than any of those adults did! So sad, he tried to care for Phoenix… So heartbreaking. Massive failure on behalf of the social workers… I was born prematurely, and I am totally blind as a result. when I was for a random woman knocked on our door claiming to be my social worker.
    Needless to say, my mum told her to… Go away.

      @@nachospopthe3rd564I'm guessing the woman claiming to be a social worker was lying? If you tell a social worker to go away when they are conducting an assessment, etc, more often than not, they'll be coming back with the police to take your child away.
      I've heard far too many stories where CPS failed to protect the children they are assigned to check on... Like the story of baby Sterling Koehn... They took that baby from a loving foster home after two weeks where the woman had support not only from her church but also the community who had all come together to gather everything she needed to care for the newborn.... Took Sterling from the foster mom and gave him to his biological parents who were clearly drug addicts and not at all fit to take care of a cactus, much less a baby... A simple phone called would've revealed the father had lied about being employed, and a drug test would've confirmed their drug use.... CPS didn't do their due diligence and because of that, Sterling was left to suffer and starve in dark room, in an electric swing facing a corner.... Left completely alone, his cries ignored as he was left in a two week old diaper while maggots had begun feeding on his severely infected case of diaper rash.... The parents didn't give a shit, and the first responders ended up being traumatized by the sight and state of the deceased child. A terribly sad story...
      Or baby Dylan, who was beaten repeatedly until he died, his parents dumping his body in a deep dark well inside of a makeshift casket made of two milk crates chained together, covered with seran wrap and pounds of chains and locks... When CPS would check on the child, if the woman would've held that child ONE time, she would've noticed the abuse that child had been suffering....
      CPS is a joke and requires an overhaul of the entire system... They take children from good parents that just do happen to smoke weed, but allow meth-addled junkies to keep their kids and eventually murder them....

    • @maramarxx2431
      @maramarxx2431 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Yes, it's just a Mess. By the results, all actions from cps were wrong. When these 'welfare visits' are made, They pick Up the baby just to if she aches, complaints. So that 'Had we seen those scars in the arm'. But what really upsets me is these failures will justify restrictive measures to all kids on Foster care: excessive ones.

      That’s not how it works

      i also find it sad that other industries with sex abuse issues aren’t spoken about enough
      i only ever hear about it in Hollywood. not even in the government yet that’s not where the majority of people go to to abuse kids

    This breaks my heart. I worked at a community college as an RA. This was a tribal college. Most of the kids were fresh off the reservations. The stories of substance abuse by family members trusted to care for these kids was commonplace. The amount of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse the girls suffered was horrific and heart shattering. There are a lot of good people, and unfortunately this little girl did not get to experience it. And honestly neither did Samantha-not making excuses-just saying…no one saved her either, she was probably just as abused in the foster care system as she abused her daughter. No child deserves what happened to Phoenix. I know I wished I could have done more to help the girls that I got to know-my heroes, their stories showed courage and strength. although I wish I had done more-I pray maybe my heart, my ear, and my shoulder were just enough sometimes…Too many indigenous women and children are being abused and murdered. Not enough is being done to help…🙏🏻

      That’s a slippery slope. Too many abuser parents claim to be the “good” family and one of the families that’s undeserving of the investigation or removal of children, they are often some of the loudest voices that repeat the very things you say. Decrying foster care and CPS/DCFS not because their child/children were removed without good reason, but because they are actually abusers that desire to change the narrative surrounding child protective services, addled thinking and the belief that they will somehow gain custody and control back over the child that was removed from their care.
      Makes me think of the West boys’ case in California. The birth family rails on and on about how the kids were taken away from their “loving” birth family only to be killed by the adoptive family, but the actual reports detail a broken arm on a toddler, amongst other issues, as the reason for the final removal and the kids being allowed to be adopted. Every single case is different.

Cases like this make me lose hope that the government is REALLY investigating child abusers, I work with CPS they can be very kind if you are a really good parent (was given an AC by my worker, took my trailer from 100 f to liveable during summer, proof they can do their job well with care) but the COURT and INVESTIGATORS are seperate branches and when it all gets to COURT and they haven't gathered proper information, then abusers get access to children....

      Yes. Yet we need to look at history to see why this happened. I don’t know how familiar anyone is with the residential school act that took place in Canada in the 1800s. Essentially every aboriginal child was forced to go to boarding schools to learn how to be like the white people. The schools were terribly underfunded and that had a huge effect on the kids. They were abused to say the least. Now Samantha probably never went to a residential school but her parents and her grandparents would have. Then when they tried to live in the cities racist attitudes prevented the aboriginal people from being able to go to college or be hired for jobs. Many of them ended up homeless and turned to alcohol. This girl had zero guidance in her childhood because her parents were broken. She ended up in care because her mother couldn’t care for her no then faced the racism many aboriginal people face

    I can distinctly remember all the adults gathered around my brother who was promptly put up on the kitchen bench and told to put his head back so the adults could try to gently remove the bead. I can remember a sense of panic arising from my mum when the bead wouldn’t come loose and her wanting to take him to the hospital. Luckily, after a short period of time, it came loose.

    • @Billybloop
      @Billybloop 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a ridiculous thing to say. CPS can't keep a case open indefinitely when they see a child who appears to be physically safe. Not only would that distress a lot of innocent families and cause more injustice than it would prevent but it would waste a tonne of resources. How much tax are you willing to pay to over zealous social workers? If you care about your rights as a parent you wouldn't want such a system because under system like this they can target anyone. Children 'fall through the cracks' all the time because CPS can only assess things that come to their attention and they have to balance the safety of children up with liberty and justice, at least in most countries in the world. There are some where CPS are corrupt, like in Norway or the UK. It's like saying no crime should ever be committed because we have the police, no house should ever be robbed, no woman should ever be r**ed. It's stupid. If a call was made to say the child was in the basement being beaten and they didn't investigate when they had the power to, then yes I would blame them in this case. How about instead of blaming the government for all of your problems you take responsibility. How about we offer severe jail time for parents and guardians who deliberately kill their children.

    If calling them “child services” isn’t some horrible, ironic joke, I vote to call them “child disservice” and expect children to be harmed, neglected and/or given directly to pedophiles. They’re as guilty as those harming the children in WAY too many cases to assume otherwise.

    The fact that she continued to have children is sickening, she didn't deserve to be a parent in the first place. Use your head and use protection if you do not wish to have children, simple as that. But everything aside. I hope the mother suffers and may the daughter rest in peace. She suffered so much through her short life. 😢🙏

    Yep..I lost my two boys when they were 6 and 3 years old..my eldest finally moved back when he was 13 and my youngest returned a year later. The social worker in charge of my case was sacked for gross misconduct,I took the local authority complaint to the public ombudsman and it was upheld completely. I returned to court and as it took me 2 years to get my apology,the courts were unwilling to let them come back as they were settled with their dad and step mother ..the woman who originally out in the unfounded complaint. The local authority were awful to me,and it's left me and my boys with a deep seated distrust of anything to do with social services. And family courts are bastards with too much power and control, hidden in secrecy and saturated in unnecessary pain.

    Even with all the other horrors aside.. Imagine thinking 'meh she's breathing' & that being your sole thought about your child. Fatally injured or not. They require a little more than just the ability to fucking breathe😠

      Same..... I dropped my license in 2010, in 2016 I got it again.... same shit, I’m letting it go again..... I can’t deal with that scene... I’ve got 3 saves.... all elderly people.... good for them but more depressing when their expiration is within years versus decades like a pediatric victim........ fucken aye EMS.... it’s an adrenaline buzz you love to chase but the pain from situations that should be saves and are not, is life changing devastating! Especially when they are ped’s.
