@Mackster Clutch is only used to get off the line. Dog engagement gear set + no lift shift allow them to bang gears without stabbing the clutch. Pretty sure ol' Cleet does it with Leroy.

young11984 this is my hometown track. They normally do the burnouts at the bottom of the hill then you come up to stage. Finn was parked just behind where they normally do the burnouts.
young11984 He was in reverse, according to his video. Cameras do weird stuff, so I can't be sure, but in his video it looked like the tires started off spinning backwards. It could've just been the incline, though, and he could've been joking. I've slid backwards mid-burnout many a time in, um, closed course *cough hooning, but most certainly never at a dragstrip.

Its not actually blower surge on blasphemi though fin said in one of his videos with the bull horns on the exhaust is to short and it screws up the o2 sensors on idle if you put the sidepipes back on it stops doing it. It does sound awesome though 😎 😁

Tip: When shaving with a multi-blade razor, use spray bottle with water and adjust the spray nozzle to jet. It blasts all hair from between the blades instantly. Better than faucet. No hot water needed. I always shave with a water bottle now, not just camping.

these cleetus/finnegan collaboration s are my favorite things on all of TH-cam!! Brothers from another mother.
Paradise Dragstrip is one of my favorite places. Super sketch surface...asphalt track in the summer time is tough to navigate, but makes for some wild passes. I love that you guys collaborated at one of my favorite local tracks. The burnout box used to be at the bottom of the hill, which was cooler in my opinion. Fun place for sure.

@@jskidpatrol Very true but Cleet's car is a low 8 with the current tune while Finn's car is a high 8. It really wouldn't be much of a race. The 55 really does get a great jump out of the hole so that's why I was thinking it would be a good race with James.

When you have a guy like Mike, that has seen and been around pretty much every type of race car, say that Leroy is one of the sickest cars he's ever seen, and acts like seeing Leroy is like seeing a celebrity, you might want to pay more attention to ol' Leroy. He's probably the reason for most of the subscribers, to the channel !

@@zector0 I watched his video when it dropped. That's where he says that stuff about Leroy.
Problem is Leroy has some pretty serious issues to deal with if they wanna run any faster. A .5 drag coefficient with zero downforce is about as bad as it gets, seriously that's Jeep levels of aero. Plus the chassis was a salvage title, have a look at the first few videos when they got Leroy, I'm pretty sure the frame rails are bent at the rear, and rear suspension geometry is a real big deal when it comes to drag racing. Obviously people have gone much faster with stock suspension geometry but the chassis has some serious issues they need to work out to get the short track down. When they run big power, watch the launch and gear shifts, it lurches the same way every time. A lot of that will be down to torque, but the bent frame won't help at all and that above anything else is what prevents them from getting the car to 60' consistently.
Second of all, the current stick shift GM record is a 7.28. That's a biiiiig difference from a 7.80. Even though Leroy on his current setup could be capable of 7.50s all dialled in (and that's being generous btw, 7.60s is more likely), they still have nearly a quarter of a second to find, and in the low sevens that's a hard thing to do. They'd need to start messing around with methanol injection and ditch the rad like Grubb Worm, or go for a proper 4 link suspension setup. I personally would love to see an exposed 4 link on Leroy, that would look amazing and seriously improve their short track potential
TL;DR is in order to run faster, they need to make some big changes that will cost big money, and potentially turn Leroy into something completely different from his legacy
@@sawspitfire422 Pretty sure they Fixed the issue with the rear framerails when they installed the TRZ rear cradle, he said that it fixed it. Also I'm not saying he needs to go 6s, I'm saying he needs some TLC, his paint is chipped from last year, he's so dirty, he even said in the video picking up the jet ski, he "didn't care about Leroy"
