    I'm glad he said it out loud. Kurt DEFINITELY wanted to be a huge rock star. Of course you never know what that's like til you get it.

      @fleetwoodcraic4235 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I’m sure he was happy to have people listening and loving his music, and the money is definitely a nice bonus. The fame just exacerbated the demons he already had.

    • @mneugent7658
      @mneugent7658 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@fleetwoodcraic4235 If you listen to those, including Krist, who knew him well, and read his own words he was more than happy about it. It was his dream and goal to be a huge rock star. But I don't think ANY of us would really know what that means til we get there. It has to be a LOT. Of course he wanted to make it huge with his music his way and that's respectable. As for his demons, from what I know a lot of that stemmed from the near certainty that he had celiac disease and it was largely, if not complete untreated for years. Celiac can completely decimate your life and it and other gluten issues weren't nearly as known or confronted like they are now. It turns your midsection into a firefight. He's not nearly the first person to turn to heroin for relief from the pain of it. That condition, to me, was his biggest demon. His gut and the cure he chose. Daily, heavy pain, can kill everything about a person.

      @Homanjer หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@johnlemon874 Yeah, but you can accept that, or you don't. And not accepting that is naive at best. Kurt was popular with teens, because he was edgy and wanted to be different. Realizing that were all not that different is part of becoming an adult. And when teens don't become adults, that's usually a very bad thing for them and everyone around. It's the age old story of the grown man living in his parents basement (or tent if you go back a couple thousand years...). And when you then become rich and famous, it's a very confusing situation. Imagine getting all your desires fullfilled, without having to really work for them. Dave and Krist got through it somehow, and they're definitely matured now.

      He was in one of the biggest rock bands of all time and hundreds of millions, if not billions of people have enjoyed his iconic basslines (which are still played hundreds of times per day on the radio) …and anyone with the slightest bit of musical knowledge can appreciate what he brought to Nirvana. He’s pretty f-ing far from being “underrated”. 😂
      Just because he’s not as famous as Kurt & Dave doesn’t mean he’s underrated. Everyone knows who Krist is and everyone loves him. You’re talking about NIRVANA for god’s sake, not some indie band that only hipsters have heard about.
      The word underrated is completely meaningless now. Lmfao

    Those 3 years really did feel like 20 years, not just for the artists, but for the fans too. We all experienced that compressed energy together, followed by depressed energy as the growing voice and words of our Nirvana had suddenly been taken out of our lives. Many of us are still in recovery mode 2 decades later.
