when i was 8 years old, i was on vacation with my family and dance moms was the first show that came on in the hotel on tv. it inspired me to start dance classes and hopefully be on a competition team. now, i am 18 and am going to be dancing in my first broadway show. crazy his time flies

People don't get to see it much but Gianna is an insanely brilliant dancer. The way she moves and extends every bit of her movements. I mean my God..... Gianna is proof that Abby Lee is a mastermind in dance. Both of them are artists.

@@superyoshifilms she probably wasn’t. Many dancer of ALDC say Abby is nothing but nice and that the show was a bad representation and a made up character for television. Which we all know reality television isn’t real at all and it’s all the producers. Do you really think if the kids were constantly yelled at BEFORE conception of the show they would have danced for her 5-6 years before the show even started?

And very much considering ALL of the girls except JoJo have made their own videos of what she was really like and how she actually treated them....

And which of these girls dance still??? Not many because the way she destroyed their love of dance. So no... She didn't make phenomenal dancers. Actually most of them who still dance came from somewhere else and didn't last long on the show.

I feel like she’s desperately trying to hold on to the show bc it made her relevant… I know that sounds mean, I don’t mean it to but it was just a thought I had.
I really don’t believe she cares that much if she’s relevant or not.. She has millions of followers on Instagram and she’s a really well-known choreographer in LA, Pennsylvania & on Broadway. She’s successful with and without Dance Moms.

I would love a season 9 that was about the dancing. No drama. No moms. Just a real look at behind the scenes of the life of a competitive dancer and all the hard work that goes into making it happen.

I would love a season 9, I loved the show not so much the drama but the dancing, some of those dances were amazing, I also loved Mackenzie she was so cute and trying so hard.

dude kenzie was a beast for keeping up with those girls at such a young age being able to do everything they could in the group dances. i do kinda feel abby didn’t really use her to her most potential bc she was almost always given an acro solo, although it was what she was best at. she really could do everything given to her.

This video has given me such nostalgia. Dance moms was a huge part of my life when I was a teenager and it’s lovely to see you both still talking about it. Would absolutely love a less drama filled season 9 with Cathy in it

I loved hearing Gianna and your commentary about all of the chaos both of you had to endure in regards to the music, costumes, and choreography for the show because of the producers and directors that were totally clueless about the dance world. Thank you for sharing your experiences with all of us. 💗 And I would love for Gianna and you to create a season nine of Dance Moms, as long as the two of you have a lot greater control and input into the way show is run and put together. I would much prefer to see passionate, talented dancers than drama between the mothers and other dance studios.
Bring Gianna back to compare the beginning and later seasons. We love her perspective!!!
Gianna didn't get the credit and camera time she deserved she was amazing!! Abby was the only one that made sure Gianna was in scenes being payed attention to ❤ you are appreciated Gianna you definitely helped form that show and them girls ❤we love you!!
That’s kind of ridiculous. Yes the only reason she was initially put on the show was probably because of Abby, but in the later season when Abby gets out of control and has legal problems and stop swing to teach the kids, it’s Gianna that steps up and teaches them and has way more camera time and then once Abby comes back, She disappears into the back again
I love their relationship adds to fact Abby is an excellent choreographer
I love how creative you guys are on these dances. I can't tell you how many of them makes me tear up.
Abby's podcast makes so much sense regarding lack of artistic freedom. They had been selected by Moms appearance and how the kids were selected from there. I found the podcast very informative and really makes sense why why and why
As an artist myself, I have always appreciated Abby and Gianna’s commitment to the craft! In the midst, of the reality TV craziness, they stayed committed to the craft. Abby is an icon and those girls are where they are now because of her leadership and mastery of her art!

It amazes me that most of the girls on the show have abandoned Abby. Yes, she was tough on the girls, and the fights with and between the mothers were monumental....and they now admit that many many of them were scripted. Maddie in particular, owes her career to Abby. She was noticed because of the show. Yes, Maddie was/is talented, but she got her training from Abby.

Really enjoyed hearing Abby and Gianna with no drama and no craziness. Enjoyed the show, so sad that everyone fell out. I would love to see everyone reconciled a bit. Glad to see Abby looking so well, always been cheering for her throughout her troubles 😊

Abby, it was YOU who referred to Maddie as your "FAVORITE". You said that EVERYONE was replaceable, except YOUR FAVORITE. It was always Maddie. You may feel differently now.
Maddie doesn’t credit abby for her success at all and abby doesn’t like that (and rightfully so honestly)
I’m loving these tell alls about the show. And it’s great see the relationship between you and Gianna as well.
Abby looks so good….much less stressed, she also seems like a really nice person.
The show really seemed to create the atmosphere to get the story & reaction they wanted. Abby seems so passionate about her craft it’s admirable all the work and time she’s invested into these kids.
I’m sorry lemme stop you right there. She definitely is passionate in her craft but she traumatized those damn kids. It’s not just for the show, that’s how she actually is. The kids speak out even now saying they have ptsd from this shit. So don’t praise her like she’s some saint.
@@ciaraortega6642 nope, lemme stop you right there. If she was like that as a person she would have no business…right? She has tons of students now, but its because of the producers that made abby so stressed and all, the editors as well…edited out the parts that were goos to make it seem like she was something else. Tv shows arent always as they seem. The moms were the real monsters all they had to do, was sit on their asses.

@@ciaraortega6642 i think a huge issue with the show was that the dancers were trapped there by contracts. In real life if your teacher was harsh and you didn't vibe with that style you'd leave and find a new teacher. The show made the kids and moms trapped learning from Abby even though they didn't like it which is awful. Jojo for example, still keeps in touch and obviously Gianna gets along with her but they might like her harsh style where others hate it.

I know so many people hated Abby, but even though she made bad choices and couldn’t control her emotions, I really do feel like she enjoyed being a teacher and wanted to do right by her kids

I really wish Cathy and Abby had their own show together but they weren't enemies like in Dance Moms. I would love to see the nice friendly side of them together in a show. I absolutely love their friendship. 💗

Abby Lee is amazing. It’s so crazy! People love to complain but should appreciate opportunities. It takes a lot of time and energy and sacrifices to teach. Many critique teachers but they couldn’t handle the job a week. Shout out to Abbiy and Gianna!

That is amazing! 💗 I highly recommend continuing to make time for dance so that you don’t regret solely pursuing other things as you get older. I started dancing at age three and even danced professionally up until I went to university and now I regret not continuing to dance (even if I had only continued to do it as a hobby instead of a profession). I guess what I am trying to say is always make time for your passions and the things that you do that bring you joy. I wish you all the best. 💗

the show creates abby to be the “villain” in a way, but in reality, she seems like the sweetest person. i feel as if the moms and the show put this persona on her that she didn’t do much at all, but after hearing how much time and effort she put in it just makes sense why she would appear to be short tempered. she did so much for those kids and even for gianna. abby needs more credit and so does gia 😌

Abby seems really like able and supportive. She also seems like she cares about the kids and dance. What we saw on the show was her being pissed off at the production crew lol.
YAY!!! So happy to see Gianna and Abby together! I was wondering what you all have been up to. I love this story time! Thanks for sharing! I discovered Dance Moms back in 2010/2011 when I was a new mother to my one and only baby, and I would watch the show while I stayed at home taking care of her. I'd binge watch the show to catch up with season 1. Became hooked ever since! Now my baby is 12 years old! Time flies! Beautiful memories... Keep up the great work Abby and Gianna!
Watching dance mom reruns and it's crazy to think those girls are now college age 😮 and they're all doing their own things. (I was a college student when dance moms started) Time flies!
Abby definitely pushed the envelope....she was amazing & so was Gianna as well.

I know you probably won’t see this, but these videos are great! It really gives a different take of what was actually going on behind the scenes. Obviously for TV purposes they always play it up to make everyone look crazy, but it’s awesome to see this side. Keep making these awesome videos!

I don’t want a season 8 of Dance Moms. I think it would be super cool if Gianna and Abby create a show together. It would be so fun to not have as much drama, but there can be real emotions and not editing. Dance Moms really felt completely true whenI watched it. Now, I feel like it was a little less entertaining on the other side of things. Abby and Gianna deserve a show all about them and their dancers. I loved this video , so thank you Abby for posting it!

It’s amazing how much Abby loves her dancers. I believe she’s always screaming at them bc she cares deeply about them. And the dances come out awesome.

As a dance teacher myself it is a very tough job, nowhere near as tough as being a competitive teacher! All credit to you both ladies. I watched all of the dance moms and found those moms drive me up the bloody wall! No wonder you lost it at times!. YOU MADE THESE GIRLS! ❤

After my grandma showing me dance moms when I was around 12 years old I started dancing and loved it!!! I excelled at it I was a natural and didn’t even realize it until I was in class and I was at one of the best studios in my city and I did the research and found my studio. I wish I never would of quit because I truly believe I would of been still dancing now at 22 years old. Abby was tough but inspired me to dance!
You should start taking dance classes again! If it is something that you enjoy doing, you should start taking classes again. 💗
@@sngray11 you know I’ve thought about it but the only thing that’s held me back is the fear that I wouldn’t pick up as fast as I used to or I wouldn’t ever be as good as I once was because I’m older now :(

I hope some of us, that watched the show for The LOVE of dance, saw through the poor production constraints you had to deal with.
I know I am not the only one. Myself and child did not enjoy or ever watch the show for "the drama". In fact it was quite off-putting and upsetting. We watched for the dance.You two Created some of the most beautiful routines, I am tearing up now thinking of the beauty..
We would often wonder why the rehearsal or instructions parts were not shown. Not boring to us!

I love hearing about the way it really was to film.
