Learn how to recognize the seizure clusters typical of Infantile Spasms, why early diagnosis and treatment is paramount, and what is being done in the field of neurology to end Infantile Spasms.

i came to these folks at the end of my rope, every other neurologist i had seen was not willing to work with me, one told me, "this is all there is, you're just gonna have to deal with that". Doctor Wolf and Patty saved my life, they were so caring and involved, fought with me, and scolded me when i need it. these two are angels in my book. Their open hearts, their dedication, the deep knowledge they both poses, and the willingness to take the journey with you until you are in control and no longer fear epilepsy. i'm thankful for them, my mother and my family are thankful fot them every day...

I think, it is very important to inform parents about making EEGs to exclude infantile spasms, when necessary. But it is also worth showing, that most of strange looking baby movements are nothing to worry about. This is mentioned in the last sentences as a conclusion, but me it would help to explicitly show it. Could you show differentiations to something "normal" ? (like for example th-cam.com/video/S5zcO3Ew3Hs/w-d-xo.html )
    Thanks for your great work.

My baby behaves just like this after 5 days from birth till now. Cranial ultrasound was done to check if there were brain damage but everything was normal.we then did an EEG Which showed cortical dysfunction. When I asked the paediatrician he told me that maybe it is because of luck of enough oxygen in the brain at the time of birth, like the baby did not cry as expected. Three months now he's been on epilim syrup and Nootropil tables. I hope this seizure will one day go. I'm trusting the process and believing in God.

Believe such a rare disorder will affect her. But eeg confirms it and now taking Viganext 500mg. The episodes are around 6-10 times a day and lasting for about 30 seconds to 2 mins and the baby is crying. Taking an mri soon. We are also worried about her. She is our first kid. @@saravanch2003 God will remember us, I believe, because these babies belongs to God we are only their caregivers. I am also believing that they will outgrow these conditions because it hurts as a parent seeing your baby suffering and crying helplessly and there is nothing you can do. I would advise you to start your baby on occupational therapy as as soon as possible like I did so that your baby might achieve her milestones early and quick and it also make her to be physically fit. Good day, may God give you and your family peace of mind, strength and wisdom during this time. All the best dear.

This is a hard journey. Perinatal hypoxic ischemia...6 months relatively normal dev...gentle spasms that looked almost like morrow reflex upon waking...EEG showed not full blown hypsarrhthmia...ACTH course worked with endless appetite and a month of being zoned out...3 days After ACTH ended spasms started again...heartbreaking...on the 3rd treatment now...It is soooooo hard to watch and be able to do nothing...Reading about the prognosis is burdensome in the extreme...Does anyone have a time machine?
