Helicopter flies at the max speed of 110 knots, which is like 204km/h and it burns fuel at the rate of 120 liters per (real time) hour, so you can fly roughly 400km at one tank. Also yeah, there's a bug that makes attaching items to helicopter to be stuck to the helicopter for some reason. I didn't plan to work on the mod anymore until the new game version is released, but maybe I'll have to fix that
edit. I think I fixed the issue with items reattaching themself when helicopter respawns and when you save/load the game. The new version is available to download

You should re-enable the bus depot mod because there will be an 100% guarantee that there will be diesel. There is also a chance for crate w/ Maxwells. And there is food and i think water. Also, one question where do you get your mods from?

It's impressive that Camodo has been playing the game for this long and still doesn't consider how extremely useful it is to have a tube on hand to siphon cars and full barrels. I always keep one in a pocket slot (since it's collisions are kinda wonky)

Camodo what you're thinking of is called a Gyrocopter. Two best examples of one would be the craft used in the rescue from the zeppelin in The Rocketeer and more famously Little Nelly in You Only Live Twice so a gyrocopter in the 80s would be totally plausible.

I think you should keep the Plymouth. It may not be as fast as a helicopter but you can at least see the poles on the road and gas is easier to find than diesel. Plus you don’t have to keep fussing with the lights. The pros of keeping the Fury outweigh the cons.
