• Terraforming Mars - So...
Nice victory. A couple mistakes (Which I'm sure you fixed later on)
1. You placed a couple Green Tiles that weren't adjacent to your other tiles. One strategy that I found worked well (if I could pull it off) is get a non-Green Tile out on either side of the blue area to give me more Green Tile autonomy
2. You are supposed to place Event (Red Cards) face down after playing.
Helpful Tip: Only place your cubes on the Neutral Tiles. That means you don't have to worry about placing cubes onto your own tile. Speeds things up a bit
I still feel like there were a couple cards that you bought/played that probably were unnecessary.
One strategy that I found worked quite well is wait to the very end of the Generation to place Green Tiles. That way I should have gotten all possible Ocean Tiles out which would (if possible) let me continue to place along the ocean. I would also play 1 Green Tile at a time to see if the money/resources gained from it would allow me to play anything else before placing my next Green Tile.
I wish the camera angle were better (hopefully improved in later videos). I think for this game, the main focus should be the Player Mat + Cards as that is where most of the action is taking place.

You missed raising TR with your action card when lowering energy production twice!
Wow, well at least I prefer when I do mistakes that is to my disadvantage, that way I havent cheated :D
Thanks for making these videos. The more I see of the game, the more I think this might be added to my Wish List. I like that the solo mode is no just an add on. A lot of games now include solo modes that either require two handed play or a "try to beat your high score" mode. I like that this has a pass or fail with actually terraforming Mars. :)

Hi! Congratulations for your videos! I watch your videos because I play TM mainly by myself. A question: the cards that take away points from your opponents as you use them in solo mode? Bye bye from Italy
Thanks! You can steal and affect a sort of AI opponent so they work fine in solo. :)
7:40 - I feel like Investment Loan was a bad play. First off a major mistake that many players neglect is the initial cost to buy the card. So you spent 3+1=4 on the Earth Tag card, you spent 3+3-3=3 on the Investment Loan. You reduced your Income by 1 which means -13 credits for the rest of the game. So overall 7credits to get the card into play, 10 Gross Profit. 10-7=3 Net Profit. 13-3=10 Long Term Loss. I just don't see how this card can ever be useful unless if you got it for free, played it for free, and used the money to somehow boost your Income back to where it was or better. (I see you did play Small Asteroid so maybe it did somehow net out in the end :P )

The Earth tags on event cards do not count toward Cartel. Once they are played, events go face down under your corporation card. Their tags do not stay on your tableau.

Greenery tiles have to be placed adjacent to another one of your tiles if possible.

Even after you finally remembered your corp ability, you didn't seem to notice it works on ocean tile requirements also (and for temperature, it's steps not degrees - unsure if you knew that). Looks like playing those sorts of cards earlier would have been good. Nicely done!
