    Please, please, please don't stop making this kind of videos, I can't go to study abroad for a really good education in textile design so, have a little piece of that is amazing, I can try to figure it out what I need to learn by myself, thank you for sharing! I enjoyed watching.

    I’ve been at a community college for a couple years pursing an A.F.A and I’m almost finished, but I wanted to go to a university, and recently learned about textile design which ties into an old childhood dream of mine. It’s so cool to see what goes into it all before I make a final decision, thank you for this video ^~^

    hi! I’m actually an upcoming freshman in FIT’s textiles program. I’ve been feeling super anxious these past few weeks as school is starting soon...but i stumbled upon your channel and i just wanted to say thank you for documenting your day and showing a realistic view of life at FIT! You have such a great energy with you that makes everyone feel happy (i dont know how to word things correctly sorry if this message is weird!) but you are truly turning my anxiousness to me being excited, hopeful, and inspired. Thank you so much for all you do. I hope you’re having a great day.

      I'm sorry for the absurdly late response - but this message was so kind and made me so happy! 🥹💕 I hope you're having an amazing time in the program! Say hello if you see me in the halls 🤣❤️

    Thank you for sharing! I enjoyed watching. I am glad you have the opportunity to go to FIT as you are a talented artist. I also now understand the crab theme. I believe none of our education is ever wasted-- we just don't always apply it in the expected ways. I have never tried screen printing and wondered how the patterns got on the screens. Your linen sampler should "bloom" after washing and getting softened, but you might already know that. Will you have opportunity to share any Saori techniques with your classmates and instructors?

    • @AndreaAlexander
      @AndreaAlexander  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much for watching and for the thoughtful comment, you are so kind!! I do completely agree that none of our education is wasted. I'm actually glad that I'm going into this program with a science background because it gives me a completely different perspective! It's just hard not to feel a little out of place sometimes. Screen printing was also completely new to me, too. I had no idea that this was how it worked, and I figured others might be just as surprised! I don't know if I'll be able to share any Saori techniques in my introductory weaving class, but hopefully, as things get more advanced and experimental, I can have some Saori fun 😃😃😃

    Your Videos are really good. I like the way you explain the activities you do that makes it educational as well. Could you make a video about the admission process and essay.

    Hi Andrea, watching you is definitely reminding me of grad school and how challenging and exhausting it was, but fun to learn A LOT of new stuff. Please remember to eat healthier, save the bad stuff for an occasional treat. You'll feel much better. 👍👍👍
