Seeing the Matadors, reminded me of my first experience of them. I was 18, never driven anything bigger than a Mini, and I was asked to take a Matador mounted crane to a site where one of our steel erecting gangs were working. Looking back, I think it was a test, because it wasn't long before they put me through my HGV class 1.
Interesting that Crouch had both the Foden & Scammell S26 EKA prototypes Army 6x6 recovery trucks in their fleet. I assume that the Oshkosh 8 wheeler is ex US army and therefore has the Detroit 2 stroke engine which you cannot normally import in to the UK any more!

Hi spot on made my day
Your welcome mate 😁
Proud to say they're a local company, recognisable anywhere in their livery, and i'd say the best in the business !!

I’m guessing the Mercedes Arocs is all wheel drive?
I would think so Richard
They run some serious kit when you think one of thease can be twice the price of a normal road truck they have a fleet worth millions
