Crystal, you are a gem and I have learned so much from you! I am living proof that you can teach an old dog née tricks. I am 75 now and you are a wonderful teacher! Love from Mississippi❤️🧶
15 years ago I made a twin size bedspread with crochet thread. I no longer remember how many balls I used, but it took me 2 years to complete. It's white, and I use beautifully colored sheets to set off the pattern. I made it to be an heirloom and I have 2 daughters already fighting over who gets it! I like labor-of-love projects! My mother made me a tablecloth for my hope chest 40 years ago (us old ladies remember hope chests). It's in the old fashioned pineapple pattern and every time I look at it, my heart melts that I have something so precious and that too is an heirloom I will pass down, even though no one I know uses them on tables anymore. I am also one of the few that likes Homespun. I've made numerous afghans and pillows. I found the trick is using a hook 2 sizes bigger than recommended. The afghans feel glorious to snuggle under! My favorite colors of yarn are earth tones too.
I have crocheted a pineapple tablecloth with size 30 thread and am working on a full size pineapple bedspread out of white size 10 thread that will go over a solid purple queen size bedspread. It takes 78 balls of thread and I am on my 3rd one. It will take me awhile.
I know exactly what you mean! My mom crochet a white thread bedspread...king size. She would haul it back and forth when she went to visit her ailing father. It took her years to finish also. Those labor - of - love projects are priceless.
They go on, I'm 65 and have a bedspread and tablecloths thread crocheted by my great grandmothers. I display the tablecloths, but I do not actually use them for meals so they stay clean. My mother and grandmother did not do thread crochet (altho Grandma did knit & crochet), but I do. I'm not so ambitions, I only make doilies or occasionally a little bit of lace. I cannot imagine the time to make a bedspread or tablecloth!
OF ALL THE LADIES THAT GIVE YARN REVIEWS ON YOU TUBE, I LIKE YOURS THE BEST. I ALSO LIKE THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN THE STITCHES . I GUESS I JUST LIKE YOU ALL AROUND. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO.
I am obviously coming late to this video party but I still found it incredible helpful. Having some kind of guide when you are figuring out where to put your money, especially from an expert like yourself who has tried so many of them, is really helpful. THANK YOU! :)
I was drawn to this video because it shows Red Heart Unforgettable yarn in the intro. This morning, I finished my first project with this yarn and it is definitely my new favorite! I used the color Dragonfly and made an oversized triangle shawl for my oldest friend (46 years) and it is simply gorgeous! My sister loves it so much that I've ordered the same yarn to make the same shawl for her! The pineapple motif is my favorite pattern! I've used it in many doilies, a couple of shawl and I made myself a beautiful cream worsted weight queen bedspread. I also got about 50" done on a round cotton pineapple table cloth - I don't remember why I set it aside, but have never been able to determine where I was in the pattern! So sad! I love crochet and I love all of your videos Crystal! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I just finished a Red Heart Ombré Coral Baby Blanket and it is beautiful. I’m making a blue one now and then mint. 2 skeins is enough to make a good size blanket and a couple of beanies so as the baby grows. It really softens up in washer/dryer. I loved Boye hooks til I tried Clover. Thanks for sharing, Crystal. 🙏🏻♥️💥🌈🎉
Crystal, Im enjoying watching your older videos. This one really caught my eye, because, I just started crocheting in Oct. 2023. I saw the Unforgettable in the prepucture aka Thumbnail. Well, I saw A Shawl on Mama G made with Gossamer for a Auction she has for Mental Health and Pets. I went to hunting that yafn on Ebay. I was able to find 3 Skiens. I wish i had more to make a Shawlnof your tutorials. I made the Agatha Reading Shawl. It us absolutely Gorgeous. Well, maybe i mislead...I'm still working on the shawl after 3 months Ive out it in the timeout from my frogging several times. I was thrilled that you love this yarn too. I paid much more than $7 a skien though. Thank you for continuing to contribute to the Yarney community. I was taught at age 12 by my Grandmother, but I left crochet behind due to Sports, Volleyball and Boys! Well, im wah past both! 😂Bless you and Thank you.
Hi Crystal, 38 years ago I made my sister in law a table cloth used#10 crochet thread and took me forever! She loved it and using it as bed cover today!:))Believe it or not I had 6balls left(from 1980) I made me a skirt.
I have been crocheting fo 60 years and love it as much today as I did when my grandmother taught me at age 9. I wanted to learn to make beautiful useful things with my hands. I love that crochet never gets boring. I love trying new yarns and stitch patterns. Seeing a project in my mind come together. Or teaching someone how to crochet and seeing the look on their face when they finish their first project. these are why I love crochet.
I began crocheting with thread. I quickly moved away. I began crocheting with Boye hooks and move to Bates because I found myself crocheting so tightly with Boye. I have one Aero hook made in England. I do use the ergonomic hooks now due to arthritis ( may you never have arthritis🙏) and am back to Boye though I still use my Bates. I have my mothers hooks made in England and they are all Aero put out by Bernat about 50 years ago. I'm thankful the Mainstays brand is now of better quality since you made this video. It's about all I can afford. God bless y'all 😇💙.
When I was little, my mom made me a couple of Barbie dresses in crochet thread & I remember absolutely loving them. I think they might be in storage somewhere, I know they were important to me.
Hi Crystal you are a joy to listen to I've learned a lot from you and I've written down a lot of patterns I'm making them as fast as I can keep doing everything that you're doing your marvelous
Crystal I love how informed about yarns, hooks, techniques, and ESPECIALLY your Tuturiol's are easy to understand and you don't leave us hanging Thank you for everything you do.BTW:Also your Generosity on your giveaways your 💛 of Gold the 👑 Queen of yarn 👑
Hi Chrystal, I have been watching you now for about a year and I am 71 years old and I have learned alot from you. I have been a knitting and crocheting for a long tine. I crochet alot for my 5 adult children and 9 grandchildren. I also love to crochets alot for the others. I work with My Counseling on Age, who give to the needed, specialty the kids and the elderly. So alot of your territorial has help me alot to do new projects. I also saw your territorial on the Big Knitting Machine, so I bought one and now I am going to teach myself to use it. I found in my the big book of stitchs that they are about 90 different ones. I was hoping you good someday have a territorial on some different ones. I find it so easy to follow you and learn faster then trying to read it! Lastly I was hoping you could do more things for Men! I am making one of your men sweater right now. Your husband is very handsome and models them so well! I had to adjust some of the measurements because my hubby has a medium size belly. Lol When ending I would like to tell you that I love your Territorial and your easy way of teaching them. One last funny thing to tell you that I can definitely relate to you about loving yarn. I have become addicted to buying yarn on SALE! I do alot of shopping on many sites too. I don't enter your giveaway because I have alot and I think that some one else in need could used it, besides my chances of winning are very slim with all your followers. I hope you have a Fantastic New Year and that you reach your goal of One Million followers, you deserve it. Well take care and be safe. A royal follower. Christine Jackson from Norton, Massachusetts
Ice yarn has a yarn that looks SO much like unforgettable. I haven’t used unforgettable but am going to order some of this because it looks SO similar. It’s called “Rainbow” and they have some beautiful color ways. You should also check out “Baby Twist” beautiful rainbow colors with a grey or white.
I know this was posted years ago but just wanted to say I enjoyed watching this and had never heard of the Hopscotch one from Red Heart. I hope they still sell it! Glad you focus on all yarns, not just high priced ones. I won't watch yarn snobs. Thx again, love the channel.
We all have favorites and dislikes, but we also have a common thread.....we all love yarn!! I have a suggestion for a video Crystal so I hope you see this. I'd like to see one on how many wips others have going. I'd like to think I'm not the only one with MANY going.☺ I have a hard time not starting a new project when I make a yarn haul.
Wow this popped up on my ytube feed. I'll just play it again. 😊 I wish yarns were retro prices. I have erased my history many times to help all you wonderful creators get credit more than once. ❤🤗
I enjoy your videos and your love of yarns!! As a newer crocheter I liked hearing your opinion on the different yarns out there, I found it very helpful.
Thank you for this review. After a 20 year hiatus, I’m back on the needle again. Taking some time to practice before I tackle any big projects. Bought some Red Heart ❤️ s ombré per your review. Absolutely love 💕 it! I don’t want to practice on pricey yarn 🧶, and this product is perfect.
I love your videos and although I have crocheted and knitted for 60 years I look forward to your yarn opinion videos especially. I actually do thread crochet and my favorite is "filet" because following the pattern is like a jigsaw puzzle and a challenge, but I love to make sweaters and shawls with larger yarns too. The downside with the thread crochet is that when I work on something with a .75mm it can pierce my fingertip like a needle and over the years I have calloused them pretty good! I love your patterns and plan to get a baby blanket pattern from you for my baby granddaughter due this coming March! Again thank you for the great videos!
I collect crochet hooks as well. My favorite yarn is I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby. I can just make my afghans look better with it and it's so soft. I bought some unforgettable to try but I was having a bit of trouble but wow it's beautiful. I love seeing your background of all the yarn. My husband would faint if I had that much. Lol. But it's such a comfort to have it!
Hi Crystal... you are awesome just as you are and you are so kind to share your knowledge, experience and personal opinions. If someone took the time to watch, they gained insight they did not previously have. What a gift. I genuinely appreciate you, have found Im watching you, Freddie and Steve everyday... and for me thats crazy. So thanks girl. Your down to earth straight shooting attitude works for me!
I love working with threads. My favorite is Aunt Lydias #10. Just finished crocheting my dinning table cloth, placemats and runner. Last year I made large doilies for my end tables/nightstands, coffee table, large runner for my TV stand and window valances. Have a few projects lined up, two bedspreads and some tops for my daughter. Have to wait though *sigh*. On a tight budget. Can't afford buying yarns/threads like I use to anymore. Crocheting is all I do most of the day. Don't know what I'd do if I couldn't crochet anymore.
I feel the same way. I had crocheted for 55 years when my rheumatoid arthritis took my crochet abilities away for awhile. Then I said too myself that I’m not going too let it happen. Now I crochet through the pain. If it gets too bad rest my hands. Oh I love to crochet with size 10 thread too. Before my hands got so bad, I crocheted with sewing thread. How I wish I could still do that! There’s a few doily patterns I love that I want to make in miniature.
I like the scrubby yarn. I make dishcloth with it. I don't find it hard to work with at all. I agree with the rest of your opinions. I love your tutorials. I have learned so much from you. Made several of your bags for my granddaughters.
Watched this because I recognized Unforgettable in the thumbnail. I recently bought a bunch of wool sock yarn and bought that Unforgettable on impulse for the color blend and softness. The socks came out so soft and cushy and colorful!
My fave hooks are Susan Bates. I have tried others and always come back to Bates. I have a Clover H hook that I bought because everyone raves about them and because I always seem to choose H or I hook I choose the H. I don't like the ends. They always slip on me. I miss stitches, drop stitches just a pain for me. I always hear that Bates snag the yarn, but I have never had that problem. Maybe because I started with them. I still have my first Bates blue H8 hook, although it isn't blue all over anymore. It has to be buried with me. ; -)
Alice Carnes I only use bates hooks, I have tried hero, Boye, clover, etc.I always go back to the bates, I have never had a problem with the yarn snagging....
Same here. I have always loved my Bates hooks - I have Boye and Hero and clover, but never use them. Any tapered hook I try to use snags and splits the yarn.
I think it's a matter of what feels good in your hands. I tried Susan Bates hooks but could never get the flow of my stitches. I found that I kept dropping stitches and getting my yarn tangled...maybe its just me but I don't want to think about my hook, I want to think about my yarn and stitch pattern which is why I don't use Susan Bates although I really wanted to like them! Boye regular crotchet hooks work for me. I wiz through my projects with great ease!
Hey Crystal, I am absolutely amazed at this video. I just found your channel recently and I enjoy your tutorials. I enjoy your personality to boot! I am the polar opposite of you. I didn’t care for any of the yarns that you liked nor disliked. A couple of the colors were pretty, but it’s the material, weight and colors that I dislike and don’t use. I don’t care for earthtones and don’t like using four ply yarn. I love working with thread and yarn up to size 3. As for the crochet hooks, why stop here, ha ha. I love in-line crochet hooks such as Susan Bates. I cannot stand the tapered style such as Boye and Hero. As a matter of fact, if I can’t find the hook I enjoy, my project will not get made. But I just love watching your channel and picking up some design ideas. I think you rock!
I'm a novice and yours were the first videos I could follow, so thank you for the spark that kept me going :) I 100% agree about the Mandala!! It was one of the first yarns I bought because in the beginning I bought what made my eyes twinkle, before I knew about weights, etc. I LOVE the colors but often struggle to figure out what to make with it. And I just bought Unforgettable yesterday!! The scrubby yarns I love because I make a back scrubber, washcloth, face scrubbie bath set with them and to under compensate for the harsh scrub and make it easier to work with, I double it up with a softer cotton yarn. It makes it SO much easier to handle and the scrub less abrasive :)
After you mentioned HERO was your favorite hook brand, I looked through my stash of gifted hooks from, past relatives, I have one H size hook, by HERO! Now I’m going to pay attention to this, at future flea markets ! thanks Crystal.
I agree on all your Love/Hate list. You seemed to be in my head as you were explaining your thoughts on each! I used Walmart Mainstays for quick crochet placemats for a small party and I've used it for making blankets for the homeless. I guess it has its uses, but I personally hate the plastic-cheap feel. Definitely subscribing to your channel and thumbs up the whole way!
I enjoyed this video. I tried to use thread after I got into crocheting, but it's too small for me to enjoy. And strains the eye! Having tried it I have so much respect and awe for those who can. For a gal who doesn't read patterns, you're an amazing teacher! I write down patterns in my own words, but I am so glad to be able to go back to your tutorials for reminders.
I did a crochet shawl with the latte stripe for my hip mom. I didn’t particularly like crocheting with it, the yarn felt closer to 3 than a 4. However, I put it in the washing machine on cold water with my other clothes and fabric softener (which I never use). Still wasn’t that soft. Dried it on low heat and wow oh wow oh wow, so so so so soft. Just want people to know. Thank you Crystal so much for all your enthusiasm, great vids, and wonderful tips. ❣️🌷❣️
I think that you are so funny, when you say, "you don't have to listen to me..." ! Of course we all have our lives & hates when it comes to yarn & hooks; I tip my hat t you for having the courage to say your opinion out loud! Truth never hurts anyone! Keep up the great work 👍 & I , for one, will keep watching! 😉 Till I'll next time 💚
I have to admit, I LOVE< LOVE< LOVE Red Heart Unforgetables. I've been crocheting like crazy and almost all have been the Unforgetable series. I'm glad you love it too!!!
I love Patons Metallic! I can never find it, though! I got a few from ebay. I agree with most of your dislikes & likes but a lot of the yarns i still haven't had the opportunity to try yet. I appreciate your reviews. Thank you. 👍
You have a gift. Thanks for being my online tutor. Re yarns, I like trying new things so I check out different brands, weights, colors. I guess that has kept me crocheting almost 60 years.
Thanks Crystal for a great review. I used to love pound of love . Not the same anymore. I bought some to make an Afghan for a sick friend. Ended up using impeccable instead. I have a boye hook I bought in my teens. Paid 29 cents, it’s stamped on the hook. I’m now 71. Love your channel.
Crystal , I made my mother a huge blanket using the lion brand homespun, same color you showed as your dislike list . It was the first blanket I ever made and you are right, it is very hard to work with, what was I thinking . Blanket turned out beautifully, but it was difficult. Thanks for sharing , and thank you for your great videos. I have made so many if your baby dresses. Your videos are easy to follow and projects are great You just posted a long hooded poncho. Shawl thingie. I've been waiting so thank u so much thats my next project.
You are such a gentle soul thank you for all the yarn shopping and all the reviews it's really awesome and it helps me make choices as well I'm sure it helps others to thank you for being there
I am like you I love all Yarns. I like how fast the blanket Yarns work up and I have just found that I don't mind working with the smaller crochet threads! But that's because I made a little credit card pouch to wear around my neck that way I never lose my credit cards! Thank you for your opinion I just scored my first hero hook in a bag of yarn I got from Goodwill
Thank you for this yarn review, I agree with you with most of the yarn you like or dislike. I feel the same way about Mandala. I started running a baby weight or even a #2 white with it sometimes, and that is a gives it a nice affect and weight. Enjoy your visits and tutorials.
Hi, I love love the Unforgettable as well... I just stocked up on some more last night when I went to Jo-Ann. So you *can* still get it there at least. I forget what I paid for each skein. Oh they are so entirely beautiful though! 🥰🧡💯💛 Thanks for this video.. I know it's 3 yrs old but still just as helpful. 💟🧶
I was given a collection of Hero hooks, I was a phlebotomist for 45 years, I would knit or crochet at work, and one of my patients gave them too me along with some very old and scratchy acrylic yarn.
I don't really have a favourite .I have never crocheted with a thread , maybe it's time I gave it a try. Love your tutorials reviews ,and everything you do. You explain everything so it's so easy to follow .
Crystal, I know what you mean. I have been crocheting for 48 years. It's a passion. Some people think if you love to crochet, you'll love to crochet everything using every medium. Not so ! Not for me, at least. I do enjoy using crochet thread & the little steel hooks....& I love using yarn & aluminum hooks. But I do not enjoy making amigurumi. I don't enjoy making anything that requires making little pieces & then putting them together. I don't enjoy making flowers, for example, that require making little petals, little leaves, little stems & then piecing them together. I think amigurumis are cute but I don't want to make them. There are yarns that aren't fun to use. I made someone a scarf in a super fuzzy yarn once. I couldn't see any of my stitches ! I'll never use that yarn again. I have a C Hero hook. I didn't realize they were hard to come by until I heard you talk about them! I've had mine for decades...can't remember where I got it. I appreciate your honesty....you do it w/ a sweetness. I always enjoy your podcasts ...including your tutorials which you do very well.
First off..... I absolutely, positively..... LOVE-Love-LOVE your tutorials.... It's like I'm sitting right there with you.... You are very thorough also.....Girl!!! How do you do it?.... You are Sooooo patient...I shop w/you & your family every time... I truly enjoy it...Your expertise in yarns, as well as your opinions....has made me go (Yarn Wild)..... I've purchased yarns that I would have never known existed, but because of YOU, I am crocheting like nobodies business.... Your Bags are to die for.... Please keep doing what you do & God Bless you & your cute family....oh yeah.....Your kids are well behaved.... Luv you Krystal....
I love that you take time away from your family to help those of us that haven’t had a lot of experience with different harms and hooks and sharing your knowledge. Thank you. #yarnnerdforlife
This is why there are so many types and colors. Everyone likes their own preferences. I respect all opinions. As far as Mainstay gies though, I almost bought some, but I too felt that it was cheaply made and was worried about knots and breakage. Happy crocheting!!
Great video. O have to agree with much of what you said. I have made beautiful scarves and hats with the homespun yarn, but it extremely hard to work with! Currently I am making shawls with the shawl in a ball yarn and love it! It's been taking me 1 1/2 skeins to make a full shawl for my girls. As for hooks, most of mine are aluminum, passed down from my grandma. I tried bamboo and didn't like it as much. The yarn did not slide as smoothly while crocheting. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work!
Crystal, I agree with you about your favorite and least favorite yearns. I do however love working with crochet thread. It's tedious and time consuming, but the finish product and satisfaction that come from completing a project is very satisfying.
I collect crochet hooks and knitting needles too! My favorite crochet hooks are Susan Bates but I think it's because of how I hold my hook. As far as yarn goes, I'm one of the strange ones that likes to use mostly cotton. I started crocheting and knitting with peaches and cream when I was in my teens.
25+ years ago a came into quite a quandary when I came across beautiful layette set patterns with directions for both yarn and thread. The thread patterns were far more beautiful but they worked up more quickly with yarn. I went ahead and made it in thread because it was so pretty but it felt like it took forever and a day. Definitely need other WIPs nearby when working on thread projects and keep the thread projects nearby because it's not something one is itching to get back to. Another issue with thread is the hook size needed is so small I ended up wrapping the handle in duct tape to make it easier to grasp.
I love Unforgettable too. I'm crocheting a scarf with some right now. I actually love the lighter weight yarns especially because I knit mittens and socks on size 1 needles.
Hi Im here wow one of your favorite Yarns is the one that my granddaughter picked today as her favorite. I just thought I would let you know that I enjoyed your tutorial
I love Susan Bates all metal. I’m like you, I done really care for ergonomic hooks. After watching several people, I’ve decided that most people prefer the style book that they first learned on. I learned on SB. The Boye style causes me to catch the yarn a lot. But, I hear others say that about SB. Use the one you like. The yarn doesn’t know or care. Lol
watching your older videos again, so much fun
I’ve watched this before but I’m letting your videos play today. You’re always so kind and giving that I thought I’d try to give back to you 💚
Thank you 😊
Crystal, you are a gem and I have learned so much from you! I am living proof that you can teach an old dog née tricks. I am 75 now and you are a wonderful teacher! Love from Mississippi❤️🧶
If I were queen of the world, yarn would be free!!
I' vote for you! 😊
... and fabric
I love your world!
Thank you, Queen Horton!! We truly appreciate you!! 🎁❤😂
I love the mainstay it is so soft. I found that the newer colors that came out this year aren’t nearly as soft
WOW Geri, good for you! You've started a labor of love for sure!
I know exactly what you mean! My mom crochet a white thread bedspread...king size. She would haul it back and forth when she went to visit her ailing father. It took her years to finish also. Those labor - of - love projects are priceless.
I fell asleep on part of it,, but 60 ball you both are too funny ,, lots of beatuiful wool, Leslie love your show

I' m literally curled up in my blanket binge-watching crochet vids on my bed
That's the best!! I do that all the time with a cup of hot tea!! 😄❤🍵
Same. I'm pretty sure its mandatory.
Hello BOD Family!! This is my favorite video to watch. You’re so cute and your my favorite TH-camr. ❤❤❤
I was glad to see you find the same yarns hard to work with, Scrubbie & Hometown specifically. I thought it was just my mediocre skills.
I was drawn to this video because it shows Red Heart Unforgettable yarn in the intro. This morning, I finished my first project with this yarn and it is definitely my new favorite!
Lol
When ending I would like to tell you that I love your Territorial and your easy way of teaching them.

I LOVE making doilies. One of my favorite things to make. Heirloom quality doilies and tablecloths/bedspreads make a GREAT wedding gift.
I agree with you on all the yarns you dislike, especially the homespun. Thanks for all your videos!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on yarns. 🧶🧶🧶I learn something each time I watch you👍🧶
Thank you for your insight and thoughts. I'm very new to anything crochet so I'm learning but i absolutely love your videos
I love making your Flowers you make out of crochet thread! Try are gorgeous.
I had a hero hook that was given to me by my grandmother. I lost it in a move. It was my favorite hook. Thanks for the video ☺️
I learned so much about yarn from you. I can order on line with confidence.
I just bought that yarn for a baby blanket thank you was wondering if it was good.
It's so funny how different we all are! I love Susan Bates and won't use any others! Loved your review.
Omg you are so close to that million !! Crystal I so love your channel ...
Your opinion matters to me and I appreciated this video..Thanks Crystal
It has to be buried with me. ; -)
Alice Carnes I love Susan Bates to, I have one from my childhood that's made in the US, I treasure it.
Alice Carnes I’ve mistakenly bought Susan Bates, then go on the hunt for Boye. Yes, they snag my yarn.
Luv your hair! People trust your opinions due to the fact that your honest!!
That metallic yarn looks AMAZING, will need to look for it.
I guess that has kept me crocheting almost 60 years.
you have become my new hero!! addicts need support, right?!
Your videos are easy to follow and projects are great
You just posted a long hooded poncho. Shawl thingie. I've been waiting so thank u so much thats my next project.
You are such a gentle soul thank you for all the yarn shopping and all the reviews it's really awesome and it helps me make choices as well I'm sure it helps others to thank you for being there
I luv the same yarn choices as u Crystal....I also luv landscapes!!!
I love thread crochet. I made a christening dress for my nephew s new baby, and I crochet doilies. I guess everyone's different.
Yes we all like something different. A personal opinion and that is okay. Happy crocheting. 😍
Really loved watching. I learn from everyone and you are one of my favorite online video instructors. Thanks Again
Hi, I love love the Unforgettable as well... I just stocked up on some more last night when I went to Jo-Ann. So you *can* still get it there at least.
I forget what I paid for each skein.
Oh they are so entirely beautiful though! 🥰🧡💯💛
Thanks for this video.. I know it's 3 yrs old but still just as helpful. 💟🧶
I love unforgettable and the colors are so pretty
Thank you for your honest opinions Crystal. I agree with you on everything earth tone colors are my favorite.
I was given a collection of Hero hooks, I was a phlebotomist for 45 years, I would knit or crochet at work, and one of my patients gave them too me along with some very old and scratchy acrylic yarn.
As always, valuable info for a novice who doesn’t know too much about the various yarns. Nice to know which ones you prefer. Thanks!
I don't really have a favourite .I have never crocheted with a thread , maybe it's time I gave it a try. Love your tutorials reviews ,and everything you do. You explain everything so it's so easy to follow .
Thank you for your honesty! I sure agree with you about Homespun! Oh it’s hard to work with!🧶🧶🧶❤️🐾🐾
Crystal, I know what you mean.
Unforgettable is the prettiest one so far to me!!
Thanks Crystal, for this video. Id never hate on you. Have a blessed day.
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on yarn & hooks.
Love your Channel love your tutorials love you in bangs
Thank you for the preview. I agree the old fashion hooks work best.
I love watching you, I’m about to make a head band by one of your patterns now.
Thanks for sharing this - I love the whys that you provided in this video! I’ve never tried the mainstay, going to give it a go.
I love that you take time away from your family to help those of us that haven’t had a lot of experience with different harms and hooks and sharing your knowledge. Thank you. #yarnnerdforlife
Thank you Crystal for your yarn review. You teach us so much. Your opinion should be used as a guide. I do know that you have been spot on with me.
This is why there are so many types and colors. Everyone likes their own preferences. I respect all opinions. As far as Mainstay gies though, I almost bought some, but I too felt that it was cheaply made and was worried about knots and breakage. Happy crocheting!!
Thanks for your favorite s. You helped me choose my next project.
Ordered some unforgettable.
Thank you.
I love brown too...
It's my fav color 😍
Thanks for the review, I am pretty new to your channel and you have really helped me with my choices.
Yes, thread is gorgeous when finished!
lol amen hate HATE hate crochet thread, exactly hate how time consuming it is. Love all your opinions and your honesty.
So glad to know you love Unforgettable! I have two different colors and it’s SO beautiful and soft!! I can’t wait to make something with it!!
Holy moly look at all that yarn
I actually love the lighter weight yarns especially because I knit mittens and socks on size 1 needles.
omg Homespun is sooo sooooffffffffffftttt!! I worked just fine with it but I knitted.
Lol
Love your informative opinions and channel. I'm a beginner going into 6mths now. I love it. You're a great teacher.
