The court psychiatrist stated to make sure someone is competent for trial, they don't look at of they are mentally ill/have hallucinations but rather if the person understands their charges and what they did.

They learn to dismember & brutalize their victims so it fits right in with this guy. It does something terrible to the brain. Yes tragic events for sure to harm or torture another person😬😔

When someone is threatening suicide they should not be allowed to walk out of the hospital! I had brought my wife to the ER when she was suicidal and they told me she would be safe and had me leave. A couple hours later I found her hanging dead in my basement, the hospital Roger Williams in Providence RI denied she was ever there!
Wow I am so very sorry yes I agree with you they should have to stay in hospital to get the help they need my pop took his life after being sent home from the hospital I found him in the walk in closet with a rope around him I was only 14 years old but it stays with you
Sorry for your loss. I’ve seen a good number of people who were allowed to leave the ER after verbalizing suicidal ideation. I never understood how it happened when we were overrun with malingerers who just scammed the system. These scammers had it written all over them.

The malingering, the unethical way patients were held until insurance didn’t cover their stay, doctors who enabled the scammers, lack of support for workers on the floor, and so on. I always tell people to avoid inpatient psychiatric treatment at all cost. If you can afford a fancy high-end facility, then you’re probably fine. But the average treatment facility is rich with people who have no desire to get better and in many cases aren’t truly mentally ill. The groups are maybe 2 hours a day and the rest of the time is sitting there fighting over TV and listening to patients having inappropriate conversations. Then you have the ones who throw chairs, intimidate staff and essentially scare everyone because they want addictive drugs. I can’t begin to count how many times people said they didn’t feel safe and wanted to leave because of dangerous behaviors on the unit. But in reality it’s a lot like a jail and when you put someone in there who is depressed and having trouble in life, surrounding them with highly unstable assholes isn’t the most therapeutic thing. As an example, I had an older lady, maybe 60, come up to the station and say she needed pain medication. She’d been there for about 4 days. She had been smothered by a group of three younger addicts on the unit which is always a little odd. She couldn’t remember the name of the drug but kept trying to spit out the word “Norco”. She said she’d been on it for a long time. Right…. Meanwhile behind her in the dayroom all three of those younger patients are quietly watching our interaction. They were trying to use this older lady for drugs. It’s a very common occurrence in psychiatric hospitals.

He’s schizophrenic. He’s probably doing a little better on meds. He probably triggered a psychosis with drugs early on. Either way, it’s not extremely rare for psychotic patients to remove their eye(s). It happens more than you think. I’ve never dealt with one but I’ve had a couple stories passed along to me locally. I have had chest stabbing patients though. They were just unstable and suicidal. Not psychotic though.

She married him after highschool, realized he had severe mental illness and divorced him.She got on with her life and was with someone else and had a family with that person. Her contact with Andre was limited cause of his severe mental illness. There was no way she would have known the extent of his mental illness when she married him and when she did she left. How would she have possibly known he would murder her and her kids? No one would have known that. How was his unpredictable psychosis her fault? Make that make sense please.

They stated that in order to be competent for trial, it's not about whether they are mentally ill/have hallucinations, it's if they can understand the charges and what they did

She married him after highschool, realized he had severe mental illness and divorced him.She got on with her life and was with someone else and had a family with that person. Her contact with Andre was limited cause of his severe mental illness. There was no way she would have known the extent of his mental illness when she married him and when she did she left. How would she have possibly known he would murder her and her kids? No one would have known that. How was his unpredictable psychosis her fault? Make that make sense please.
