Quranic Dilemma Ep 2 The Inspiration of the Bible - Corruption Conundrum

  • Continuing with Quran 3:34 Al Fadi, David Wood, and Sam Shamoun move on to other passages, including Quran 10:37; 46:30 asking the question, "When could the corruption of the Jewish and Christian scriptures have taken place?"
The Quran clearly teaches that these scriptures were from Allah, but because they contradict many of the teachings of the Quran, they must claim that the Jewish and Christian writings have been corrupted since the time they were given.
Muslims repeatedly claim that the Bible is corrupt and therefore cannot be trusted as a authority to evaluate the teachings of the Quran. Al Fadi, David Wood, and Sam Shamoun show that the Quran itself affirms the inspiration, authority and preservation of the Jewish and Christian scriptures.

Dear brothers, I'm a pakistani Christian, thank God now British National living in Scotland. I really enjoyed watching this episode and 100% believe that Bible is inspired by the holy spirit, perfectly preserved eternal Word of God but many times little bit struggle in answering Muslims this particular question that Bible has been corrupted because Roman Catholic Bible has more books than protestant Bible, they say, this is a clear proof that it is corrupted.
Your preaching has personally helped me in so many different ways including confronting Muslims and in my own personal spiritual journey and I'm so thankful to you for that.
"Could you please guide me to answer them on this particular matter?" I believe God has blessed you with His special wisdom and knowledge, always introduce you to my friends as , "three wise men of the 21st century" May God bless you all richly.

The second commandment is: You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. The RCC changed this so they could keep their traditions alive. It is against Gods will. So actually you are wrong.

ooogbmb csws123 Yes, brother. The Qur'an teaches "all man kind being equal. black white brown." Allāh tells us He has ordained mercy on Himself, His mercy encompasses all and that Angels ask for forgiveness of mankind-(Qur’an 6:54; 42:5; 66:6). That all men are created equal (95:4), that we are made into diverse tongues and colors; and different tribes and nations that we may know one another (30:22; 49:13), that we are to be judged not by our race, color or nationality but by our deeds (6:133), that the noblest ones are those who are righteous (49:13, 98:7). Prophet Mohammad reminds us that all mankind is from Adam and Eve; an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; white has no superiority over black, nor does a black have any superiority over white; except by piety and good action. And Allah implores us in loving, compassionate terms through Prophet Mohammad to convey to the world: “Say: O My servants who have sinned against their souls, despair not of the mercy of Allāh, surely Allāh forgives all sins. Verily, He is Most Forgiving. Ever Merciful”-(Qur’an 39:53). Allāh does not need satisfaction, human or animal sacrifice, in order to forgive sins. (For more see nogodbutallah.org/)

The Quran does not treat all people as alike. Women are considered inferior to men. That's about 50% of all people on earth.
      - "When you contract a loan (...) Call upon two of your men to witness. If two men cannot be found, then one man and two women of your choice will witness-so if one of the women forgets the other may remind her." (Quran 2:282)
      - About the share of inheritance: "the share of the male will be twice that of the female" (Quran 4:11)
      - "Men are in charge of women, as Allah has made some of them excel the others, and because they spend of their wealth. Therefore the righteous women are obedient, and protect what Allah has entrusted them with in absence. As for those women on whose part you fear rebellion, admonish them, forsake them in bed, and hit them. Then if they obey you, do not take further action against them." (Quran 4:34)
      - Prophet Muhammad said, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The women said, "Yes." He said, "This is because of the deficiency of a women's mind." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 48, Number 826)

Judgement Day means, the Final Judgement for all the living and the dead. Therefore, the power of Ressurection shall exist, otherwise, those to be judged are the living only.
Now,since islam denied Jesus crucifixion, thus Jesus was not died, thus Jesus was not raised from Death.Satanic allah,is not god, they don't have power to ressurect dead bodies, thus they can not raised dead rotten mohammad, and even mohammad has not the power to ressurect dead bodies.
Therefore, they, demonic allah in satanic quran have to "downgraded" Jesus as not being crucified. And therefore the story of raising the dead is very very "scarce" in satanic quran.
What of Bible?Even Elisha raised deads in Old Testament. The disciples raised dead bodies too.But only Jesus raised WITHOUT ANY HUMAN INTERVENTION.For Jesus is God,he had power over death, thus He raised the dead in the day of Judgement Day.And even Jesus Created things in His ministry.

The other liability about the Quran is this : Chronologically the gospels were written before 100 AD. The Christians believed that Jesus was crucified on the cross, suddenly in 600 AD Allah decides to reveal that Christ wasn't crucified. So if Allah was from the beginning revealing his word through the Torah and the Gospels, then Allah is allowing the circulation of this "lie" (that Christ was crucified) for more than 5 centuries!

You're not just helping Muslims. You're also helping Christians. Because when Christians face their book, they can see these sorts of dilemmas don't exist. There are some difficulties yes, but when they are examined and explained there is no need to appeal to a leader's reasonings that run tangent or in opposition to the words of the book. In fact most answers come by examining actual context, whereas Islamic dilemmas are answered by running away from context. I can only imagine that for a Muslim this must be soul destroying when it is realised. However it must be a huge relief when they find what they are really after by examining the story of Jesus.

I don't think the author of the Quran understood the implication of this title fully, just like he didn't seem to understand the Christian Trinity (Sura 5:116-117 says that the Christians call Jesus and his mother gods, along with Allah, which the orthodox Christians never did).

According to Islam Jesus never died because he asked God to help him when the Jews turned against him and wanted to kill him. He prayed earnestly 3 times in the garden of gethsamene for God's help. Being one of God's greatest and loved messengers God responded by not allowing him to be killed or crucified at the hands of the Jews and Romans.
As for Isaiah 53 the christians have been twisting scripture for a long time to suit their needs. If you ask the original owners (The Jews) of this book ie Isaiah they will tell you the truth of Isaiah 53 from what they have. Rabbi Tovia singer has made a ton of videos pointing out step by step the lies perpetrated by christians in the name of Isaiah 53.
Its important that you get the Jewish perspective on this and not the Muslim's as the Muslims don't rely on Isaiah 53.
The problem is much larger than Isaiah 53 and most likely goes back to the time of the original Septuagent, the loss of the scriptures and the subsequent reconstructions.

    • @sidprice6214
      @sidprice6214 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@philipputrus2655 I have provided an answer to young sqaad but i would like to add to it for you.
Sura 4 verse 157: "That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-".
On the day before Good Friday Jesus entered Jerusalem triumphantly. He went to the synagogue in the city and on the steps he attacked the money changers turning over their tables and told them off. The news got back to the Sanhedrin (Jewish Leaders) who finally decided to get rid of him.
Jesus realised he had stirred up a hornets nest so he went to gethsamene to pray and ask God's help. Jesus was arrested, tried and sent for crucifiction. NOTE the word well : CRUCIFICTION means DEATH by being nailed or tied to woodden stakes in the ground. There is no word for a person who survives a "crucifiction".
The Quran statement is very general "it was made to appear to them..." The precise meaning is not known but many Islamic scholars would agree with the view that God put Jesus into a deep sleep while he was on the cross thus giving the appearance of DEATH by crucifiction. Some early christian sects proposed a substitution theory which some Muslim scholars have rallied to. Whatever the method was by which he was saved God clearly confirms that the boastful Jews did not kill or crucify Jesus his beloved messenger.

By name “Bible” comes from greek word “Biblos” meaning a “book” then the Holy Bible meaning the Holy Book..! And it is not the collection of books as many think...dont get it twisted...
Therefore to get it clear the Quran speaks about two different books which were before it which were “Torah” and “Gospel”..in other language the bible neither mentioned in the Quran nor is the Torah or the Gospel..,since even the four gospel writen in the bible were writen by annonymous authors who lived years after Jesus and further more they contradict and differ from each other...
To prove such claim lets see who wrote the gospel according to Mathew..Mathew 9:9 says
“As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(B) he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him”.
Therefore 100% proves that the author heard the story of Mathew and wrote it down...!
Then atleast one proof of contradictions and differentiations among the gospels.. The taking of a staff and sandals is permitted in Mark 6:8-9 but prohibited in Matthew 10:9-10 and Luke 9:3.
Not only these but also the Fabrications in the gospels which later was thrownout from the bible like in gospel according to John 3:16 where it shows Jesus as the “only begotten son of god” meaning god have sex with Mary to have Jesus..then later it was thrownout as fabrication, antopolation ..
All of these facts shows that the actual Gospels which were revealed in the Quran aren’t the gospels you find in the bible..since Because they werent writen from the eye witness of Jesus and this the bible itself proves by context but also by the names of the gospels whereas they are called
Gospel ACCORDING TO Mark,Mathew,Luke and John meaning they were witten by annonymous later authors who are unknown till today...and they are not the actual gospel of Mark,Luke,Mathew and John but it is according to .....,according to ....,according to ....
More Shocking the bible contains what is claimed to be gospel of Paul..where as Paul him self declair to the people that there are his own words in his letters...therefore in Corinthians 7:12
“To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her”.
But also the false apocalypse declaired by Paul which he predicted to happen in his lifetime as he was inspired by god...😂 but till today 2021 it never happened which is clear in 1thessalonians 4:15
“According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep”.
Then which Gospel was revealed in the Quran..? The actual Gospel which isn’t available till today OR the Fabrications,Antopolations, forged verses in Mark 16:9-20 which werent in any of the manuscripts and personal views of Paul😂...
Dont manipulate peoples by your blindly views in interpretation of the Holy Quran😂

They are absent from important early manuscripts and display certain peculiarities of vocabulary, style and theological content that are unlike the rest of Mark. His Gospel probably ended at 16:8, or its original ending has been lost. (From the NIV Bible Foot Notes, page 1528)”
👉 “Although the author does not name himself, evidence outside the Scriptures and inferences from the book itself lead to the conclusion that the author was Luke. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1643)”
👉 “The writer of this letter does not identify himself, but he was obviously well known to the original recipients. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1856)”
👉 “The letter is difficult to date with precision….(From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1905)”
👉 “It seems safe to conclude that the book, at least in its early form, dates from the beginning of the monarchy. If they think that way they should totally reject the hadiths and sira and commentaries, to be consistent. But in fact they can't do that as the Quran would then be too vague to understand, and is not even in chronological order, such that one could try and work out when the teaching changes, which is the teaching to go with. The differences would mean they need a chronological framework (although they are not entirely certain of the order even then), and they have to use the hadiths.
I suppose they are thinking revelation must come in the format - Allah says ... but realistically in life you would see God working in whole trains of events, and people observe the events in the initial situation, they don't have God saying, "and Joseph was captured by the Ishmaelites and taken to Egypt and sold into slavery", you initially would instead have people observing that happened. So even if you have particular prophecies given at times, it would be not a complete way of communicating with us, as knowledge comes through the events often. There's also times where we would need to reflect on things to tease out meaning, and one could not just have God speaking from above, there has to be an "our part" in a religious text.

How though could you show changes that are moving away from what 'Mohammed' in the Quran would hold to be what should be in the injil? I'm no scholar of texts but have occasionally looked at issues whilst studying, and for instance a lot of NT adjustments would be for instance the Byzantines altering things to adjust to the latest daily use of Greek (of course I think this is why when compiling new translations the scholars tend to prefer the manuscripts that were more in the Alexandrine side of things, due to Greek not changing so much outside the heart of 'Greekness'). But these are all small changes afaik , and don't show for instance Jesus not dying on the cross, or saying he is a mere prophet and not to worship him. I do know a few cases of passages like that one John 8 about the stoning not being in earliest manuscripts, sometimes also inserted in Matthew apparently, but it is entirely consistent with Jesus' attitudes recorded elsewhere in the gospels, and probably came from a gospel that was deemed of lower quality, but the particular bit was so good, they felt it ought to be placed in the injil.
Some of the ideas about Jesus in the Quran come from gnostic texts, like his infancy miracles, or the Quran's non-canonical birth narrative for Jesus. So lookiing at those gnostics texts you see they are not the 4 gospels at all, and are of different derivation, and often have profoundly unbiblical ideas in them, which came from Greek philosophical musings (hence why christian groups did not accept them, and they didn't get in canon lists). So that would evidence of the Quran picking up corrupt traditions, so to speak!

    • @collybever

With respect to those Byzantine adjustments, there are similar issues with the variants of the Quran, where much of the differences is due to different dialects, and hence a need for adjustment for local understanding.

@@steelisrael3461 That doesn't mean that the Bible of 7th century Arabia was the same as a modern Bible. In fact, that's demonstrably false.
Rome did not dogmatically define its own "canon" of scripture until the Council of Trent in 1547. Before that, the extent of its "scripture" was somewhat fluid. The situation was even more pronounced in the East, where many books and stories that were disfavored by Rome were nevertheless preserved and read, as Scripture, in Syria and Arabia. This is precisely why the Quran reiterates some stories which are only found in books outside the Catholic "canon"; the same "canon" which was further diminished by Protestant scholars. Nowhere does the Quran confirm the accuracy or integrity of these attempts by the Church (not God) to define the "canon." By the same token, the Quran never says that the truth of the Torah is only found in the modern critical edition of the Masoretic text. Surprisingly, the New Testament itself would seem to agree with this. In one conspicuous case, Matthew tells us that Jesus is proved to be the Messiah by the fact that he lived in Nazareth, something that was apparently foretold in Jewish scripture (Matt. 2 : 23). Unfortunately, this prophecy doesn't exist anywhere in the Hebrew Bible. The only explanation is that Matthew was reading something else, something "outside" the written text of the Bible even as it was known in antiquity (note : Matthew's "prophecy" can't even be found in the most ancient editions of the Septuagint). Nevertheless, he still believed that it represented an original piece of scripture and that it conveyed a genuine prophecy. So too, the Quran reminds us of echoes of revelation well beyond what many Christians today would think of as the Bible. At the very least, these things were certainly "with" the Jews and Christians of 7th Century Arabia, and that's all we need to demonstrate the truth of the Quran (see Q 2 : 89).
Likewise, we know that the Quran doesn't even affirm the totality of the content of those books which were clearly canonical from the very beginning, like the four Gospels. The Quran urges Jews and Christians to faithfully observe the Torah and the Gospel (Q 5 : 68), but then immediately (only 3 verses later) condemns anyone who believes that Jesus is God (Q 5 : 72), and anyone who believes in the Trinity (Q 5 : 73). No doubt the Quran is aware of the fact that these are bedrock principles of the Christian faith, yet it sees no contradiction in attacking these principles and, at the same time, calling Christians to judge the message of Islam by the content of the Gospel. This is simply because the Quran nowhere says that this judgment must be absolute, i.e. that absolutely everything in the Gospel is invincibly true. No. Rather, the call to examine what was "bayna yadaihim" was a call to compare the universal message of monotheism in the Quran with that of previous revelation, to uphold the truth of God's commandments, and to appreciate the prophetic nature of all scripture. In this sense, the Torah and the Gospel lead directly to Islam.

Just a piece of advice to those who are lured into a debate which compares the Quran with the Bible. The so-called biblical stories (qasas and neba) in the Quran are just that. They are stories and are referred to as such. They are never referred to as history or tarikh. These stories (qasas) and narrations (neba) are NOT biblical. They are the stories of the various Christian and Jewish tribes in Arabia at the time of the Prophet (pbuh). These sects were not monolithic. These Christians ranged from Trinitarians to Gnostics to Mary worshippers or Collyridians and beyond. The Jewish tribes represented a variety of sects too. So, these tales were brought into the Arabian Peninsula over a long period of time by tribes originating from many different locations, each with their distinct beliefs. Allah (swt) revealed these stories to the Prophet (pbuh) to prove to these Arabian Christian and Jewish tribes that he was a true prophet and could recite accurately from their Christian and Jewish traditions. At the time, there were no biblical texts available in Arabic. The few "apocryphal" texts available to the very few who were literate were written in Coptic and Greek. The Hebrew or Masoretic text would not be available until circa 1000 CE. In other words, it is useless to debate the 'biblical' accuracy of the Quran. The stories are not biblical. They are mostly religious oral traditions with, perhaps, a few being religious literature that belonged to the various Jewish and Christian tribes in 7th Century Arabia. Remember, the Quran is always accurate and what we don't understand, we should not debate.

    3:23-24 Holly Quran
    Saheeh International
And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful.
But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.

    1 Corinthians 14:34-35
    New Revised Standard Version
(As in all the churches of the saints, 34 women should be silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as the law also says. 35 If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
