I am so inspired by you and how patient you are going through all the steps. Now I also know how to do the ribbing. Thanks so much.

Oh I remember when I would put my machine away just for 3 or 4 months, then when I got her out again, I had to read the manual again on how to cast on with the ribber, the knitter was pretty easy to remember. So then I decided to keep my machine up year round and then I was able to remember how to do certain things. But now I have to put my mind to Singer or Brother to know how to work that machine and get something done. I do have some mechanical abilities and think that is how I can now go from one type machine to another. But you will get back to how you used to be. Your not alone, may put their machines away for a while, life just gets in the way but then later on we can get back to those crafts. Now I wonder if I remember how to use my sewing machine as it has been a while since I did sewing, think I can but would need to get that out and try something with her.

I do try to get here as I know there can be many comments waiting for me, or questions needed answering, I just try to help my fellow machine knitters. I will try to get a video of the brother yarn changer when I get one of them out again.

Thank you for sharing this. I have the color changer and have a SK700 and a SK560. I have been trying to figure out how to use it with the electronic machine because I also have DAK software.

tamaffitt Glad to see it helped another out there. for the 560, you would replace the punch card with your computer and DAK and the SilverBox or direct connection to the on-board Mylar sheet. but here is where allot of your 2/24 yarn can be used up faster.

I have many videos on Double Jacquard on both the brother with yarn changer and singer bulky manually changing yarns.

Hi Roberta - Do you have a vid on single bed colour changers on a Brother Machine? Also does a colour changer mean you don't get floats as you would using a fairisle pattern without a changer, just using two yarns in the sinker plate gates?

I do not think I do but it would be very similar to this one. But I will try and get that for you in time. Right now I have my Elna Bulky out again, she tends to do more work than the other machines I have.

Did your color changer fall apart completely? I found the YC6 service manual, but not the YC5, they could be exactly the same or different, but may be worth it for you to check it out.

+MsRabbithash Glad this one helped you, someday I plan on using this to make a reversible sweater but with helping others around the globe, sometimes I don't have time to knit up for myself or family members.
