Them warming up for Weezer was just a taste of their excellence. You MUST see them as the headliner. I’ve seen them 20 times probably and won’t miss them if they’re within a few hundred miles from me.
@@yoda301 one of the best things about The Flaming Lips, and especially Wayne Coyne, they adore/respect their fans and love performing. I’ve seen countless bands that put on a good show but phone it in. Every time I’ve seen TFL, they engage with the crowd and always express appreciation for coming. When you see them headlining, you’ll see how much more they involve the fans than they were able to with Weezer.
It was what I believe my 1st time hearing Dinosaur Jr. and The Flaming Lips and i listen to so much of their music while driving home from Sacramento amazing opening
Check out my videos from the Flaming Lips show in Oklahoma City a couple months ago, as they were wrapping up their headlining Yoshimi tour. When they play a venue like that with more room to set up, the experience becomes so immersive, it defies description.
Caught the show in LA, and the Lips' performance is probably the most magical concert I've ever experienced. Could be my emotional ties to the band, but it's the one time I've looked passed a "band performing" and actually got the sense of... "I'm experiencing actual music. Real art. A moment." The joy of creation was being radiated as opposed to any ego or artificial attempt at entertaining. I'll never forget it.
I saw this concert in Sacramento, and it was amazing both Dinosaur Jr. And The Flaming Lips during the intermission i immediately went and followed them everywhere and listened to a bunch of songs on the drive home. Amazing experience.
I accidentally touched my head And noticed that it had been bleeding For how long I did not know What was this, I thought, that struck me? What kind of weapons have they got? The softest bullet ever shot I stood up and I said yeah I stood up and I said yeah I stood up and I said hey, yeah From this moment on Blaring like a trumpet Comin' from above us And somewhere below The confidence of knowing Decsending to relieve us Of the struggle to believe its so I stood up and I said yeah I spoke up and I said hey I stood up and I said hey yeah And it seemed to cause a chain reaction It had momentum it was gaining traction It was all the rage it was all the fashion The outreached hands had resigned themselves to Holding on to something that they never had And thats too bad 'Cause in reality there was no reaction I accidentally touched my head And noticed that it had been bleeding For how long I did not know

@@ritualfan Wow! I saw Phish at the Clifford Ball in 96. It was epic, but you know what would have made it more epic? The Flaming Lips on a flatbed truck behind Phish playing Thus Spoke Zaireeka.
Flaming Lips, worth every listen.
First heard of The Flaming Lips when I went to see Weezer at Dallas. They've quickly become one of my favorite bands.

I was at that same show and it was my first time hearing them too!! Amazing band 👏

Steven Drozd is so fucking good
He's a genius.

I accidentally touched my head
And noticed that it had been bleeding
For how long I did not know
What was this, I thought, that struck me?
What kind of weapons have they got?
The softest bullet ever shot
I stood up and I said yeah
I stood up and I said yeah
I stood up and I said hey, yeah
From this moment on
Blaring like a trumpet
Comin' from above us
And somewhere below
The confidence of knowing
Decsending to relieve us
Of the struggle to believe its so
I stood up and I said yeah
I spoke up and I said hey
I stood up and I said hey yeah
And it seemed to cause a chain reaction
It had momentum it was gaining traction
It was all the rage it was all the fashion
The outreached hands had resigned themselves to
Holding on to something that they never had
And thats too bad
'Cause in reality there was no reaction
I accidentally touched my head
And noticed that it had been bleeding
For how long I did not know
Oh boy, one of my favorite Lips songs! ❤🔥

This was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. On the shore of Lake Champlain no less. Magic! What a set list, what a show!!

Singers & Players
What is Wayne going to do now that Pluto is drifting out of Capricorn?
_Ooo Oooo Oooooooo Ooo....._
Anybody know where the concert footage was filmed?
This better be for Nell
🌳🫡😴🌳
I don't like the pitch correction on Waynes voice. He doesn't need it, he's a great voice as it is.

Steven is great, but Janis 18 still sucks.
