One of my professors in graduate school IS such a monster, or, at least, he was, probably still is. hidden away in the Black Forest somewhere After his narcissistic behavior ruined his family and his career.......when I left the doctoral program, he asked me if it was because of him, I quite politely lied and said No. It was because of his narcissistic behavior that I got out of academia.
