Love this show - grrr888 soundboard. I saw many shows in 84 - all East Coast . Finally made it to this amazing venue in June of 86; I remember the show outside the show for those who did not have tix..,speakers set up in a field adjacent to the Greek. The scene and all 3 shows were special indeed
This was my favorite Greek run. The scene was so cool in 84. I think this is the best quality board you've uploaded since your streak started Okie. It's got that crisp ECHO with Bob and Brent turned WAY UP! Thanks man!
This is one of the (numerous) great Greek shows. A sunny Sunday afternoon at this gorgeous venue overlooking the SF Bay and Golden Gate, opening with the 60's style Dead version of Dancin' In The Streets, jamming out and then resolving into a long, meandering Birdsong. You knew it was going to be a good one. To start the second set, Phil sang his first vocal in kajillion years on "Why Don't We Do It In The Road" and the crowd went bonkers! (This board is excellent quality, but you do miss the enormity of the Greek audience reactions) The band then quickly segued into China/Rider/Playin'/Uncle John's, and there was just no other place in the world you'd rather have been.
This first set with my favorite tape. Best Ramble On Rose I ever heard. Also the best dancing and brother Esau I ever heard. I never played any other tapes more than this one. For the first set. First set Dead songs are my favorite in general.
Today is my birthday and I have been looking for 7/15 shows on YT forever and could only find 7/15/88 Thank you for this, you just made my day today! (~);} NFA

I remember it well! This was the Sunday show after the infamous "free" Full Moon Friday the 13th show where they played Dark Star.
