In this Nottingham University video, I tell you about things that you need to know before studying at the University of Nottingham and before freshers 2019. I'm currently a 2nd year Management student at the University of Nottingham and have just completed first year at Nottingham University so everything I tell you in this video is coming from a student who's been through it all :) If you want to see uni vlogs from the Uni of Nottingham and more university videos then make sure to subscribe and turn all post notifications on!

This is a great video Mahel it’s good that you speak so candidly about uni :-) just one teeny lil thing- hopper bus to Sutton Bonington is about 20-25 minutes, not 40. :-) the first Wednesday of every month they have a farmers market- it’s super cute and if you haven’t been yet you need to go!
I agree with what you said about safety- I’ve walked around UP late at night too and felt safe :-)
Thank you :) google maps says the 901 would take 32 minutes atm from east drive although i saw it at 40 mins when i last checked, hence the figure
If I do get extremely bored then I might go on a little excursion to SB campus and see what it’s like but I was also going on what people I’ve met have said about it
I’m probably going to make a part 2 as these were things that came off the top of my head but maybe in a Q&A form instead :)
Nice ,thanx for the info was quite helpful, jst made more eager to go to Nottingham
Cheers for this Mahel. Recently had my place confirmed and counting down the days until freshers. Your videos went a long way to swaying me to pick UoN. Looking forward to your videos in the coming weeks 👍🏼
Place confirmed? Conrgats that's great to hear! I'm actually in the production stage of the next UoN related video as I read this comment ✍📹
Yeah, buzzing. At St Peters court so really useful in that sense too. Good to hear with your new vid, looking forward to it 😁
Joe Hay congratulations freshman!!! Make sure you make the most of freshers or you’ll regret it hahaha
Welcome to UoN
Cheers June, I will make sure to 👍🏼
@ኄኖክ ኃይሉ Really good 👍🏼 Settled in after only a few weeks. Made plenty of mates and really enjoying my course and the city as a whole 😁👍🏼
How’s the accounting and finance course there? And the International student scenario and part time work opportunities
Dunno if this is a good idea, but I'm studying accountancy on jubilee and staying in Cripps hall on the main campus.
Luckily I don't think it's too far, did it as I just thought it seemed better for socialising and things to do.
That's totally fine, there's plenty of people in the Business School that I know that lived on main campus and used the hopper bus to get to lectures
DEFINITELY better for socialising and things to do too
I’m thinking of applying for accountancy at Nottingham, how is it???
Hey, i have received an offer from Nottingham for MEM. Can you plz let me know how the job market is especially after Brexit?
Enjoyed the video mate, looking forward to September! Seems like you really enjoyed your first year :)
Thanks Pat! More videos to come this month surrounding the topic of UoN
@@MahelKhan Looking forward to it! I have my place confirmed for September, so your videos have been really helpful!
Video on business school plz! Very useful video!
Do u recommend living on campus
what about MSC in Finance and Investment for Nottingham
Hello can you make a vedio on University of reading real estate program..? For international students
I shall be staying at Beeston NG9 and the course which I have enrolled in for is at University Park campus. Is the accommodation taken by me good in terms of distance? Please advise :)
If you’re in Beeston town centre then that’s around a 20 minute walk from campus I believe and if you’re staying at Broadgate Park then that’s around a 5-10 minute walk from campus
I’d say you’re good :)
Mahel, thank you! (:
@@rahulll_singh No problem! Be sure to add me on Snapchat if you want to see more UoN content: mahelkhan
I have some offers from schools for MSc data science including nottingham (which seems absolutely beautiful - I think it's located jubilee campus) and university of Edinburgh (which is top 20 but does not include a campus). I'd love some pointers guys if anyone has any info about these two. Watching the vid right now 😝
When it comes to a masters I'd choose the better uni for reputation and recognition and imo that's Edinburgh
@@MahelKhan thank you my friend. I already accepted my offer at UoE. Best of luck!
Thanks :D
No problem, lemme know if you wanna see anything else :)
Would you recommend to study for undergraduate in computer science at Nottingham?
Yes! CompSci at UoN is very popular although consider the fact that it's located on Jubilee Campus and not University Park Campus, which is the University's main campus
@@MahelKhan Thanks for the reply. Could not wait to study in UoN.
I have just been accepted to UoN! Do you know what campus Sport and Exercise science is on? Also is the gym membership shared between the two gyms so you can use whatever one? Thanks
Hey, I think for the first question it’s on multiple campuses but mainly university park campus
One gym membership gets you access to all three of the campuses’ gyms so you can use whichever one you like whenever
Bro can you help me with accommodation in Jan 2020 intake ?
There’s people who go abroad for a semester so check a Facebook group called Buy/Sell (Notts Uni) where you’ll be able to find listings for housemates
how about the EEE in Nottingham I get an offer from this uni
EEE??
@@MahelKhan Electrical and Electronic Engineering
@@Bbb-ts9wy it's a very good course and the school of engineering is the university of nottingham's biggest school in numbers if i remember correctly so i'd say go for it
@@MahelKhan thanks
Do you recommend chemical engineering here?
yeah definitely
Put it on 2x speed and it was still too slow
everything he said he had already said in different videos
Does it make sense to live in albion house whilst studying nursing??
As in would the distance be too far?
I'd argue no because of the distance and the money you'd be spending on the tram
Mahel Khan aaah thanks, is broadgate park better or just as bad?😩
still a bit of a trek - if anything then I'd advise Uni Park Campus or St Peter's Court (SPC has a free hopper bus which stops outside QMC where you'll sometimes be)
If you study Economics would it be ok to stay in Jubilee
yeah it would be but i'd personally advise living life on either main campus or one of the self catered sites
@@MahelKhan how far is jubilee from the main campus
if you take the free hopper bus then 10 minutes max and if you walk it then i'd say about 20-25 mins
Im at Newark and I'm studying economics
couldn't find accommodation at UP campus that had an ES
Bruh how you have so many ads throughout the video?
It's 5 seconds of your time per ad 😅 pretty standard for TH-cam these days
You think the international students may not have great English? Lol, how do you think we got admission in the first place? Unless you've been told, looking at the school website for campuses isn't something that people generally know about. No need for the slight though.
Bro which is best frshers to attend in Nottingham?
Any events that are hosted by the University of Nottingham Students' Union for which tickets are released in September
