P: “What’s ole girl name?” DMills: “Aaliyah.” Bro DMills is literally a national treasure😂😂😂I was having an ass day til I started watching this podcast I appreciate y’all man seriously🙏🏽🔥
loved the questions at the end. gotta be apart of episodes every now and then. working as a team is def the move. a couple here and there would be a nice touch to each episode.
If anyone’s looking for a good older game to watch I just rewatched LaMarcus Aldridge drop 46 and 18 on the Rockets in game 1 of the 2014 first round. That man was different that day
That’s the tough part of over/unders. Every team looks promising or good on paper but like it was mentioned, somebody has to lose if everybody is going to win
Pierre is spitting on the spurs part, everyone thinks vic gone change the team which he will, but Devin and sochan gone level up this team this season.
I think what P is overlooking in the conversation about Bron hurting certain players’ game is that the league changed in that general pattern, not just Bron’s teammates. Most teams moved their 4 man further from the basket. most teams started to value space more. K Love used to start every Cavs half with a post touch. It wasn’t like they just eliminated that from his game but the league in general did move out of the post. We’re just starting to see a resurgence but I would only argue that the players that get a lot of post touches are 1st & 2nd options usually so that explains K Love’s lack of post touches as a 3rd option
My pick for a player that makes his teammates better is Draymond Green. I think people underrated how much easier he makes defense for the rest of his team, allowing his teammates to spend more of their energy on offense. He’s also a great facilitator and can very often find a difficult pass and dish it out to the open man.
Love how they said they were coming to Seattle. P, kb and mike all said it in vids/streams. Me being west coast canada was looking so forward to it, hotel booked and everything for the mini road trip. Date came around and was never even mentioned. Long time viewer here too.
I understand what they meant about making your teammates better, the reason the nuggets are so dangerous is because when everyone is involved it means everyone is in rhythm and it increases players chances of making shots down the stretch, Donovan at this point in his career doesn’t do that and he’s wayyy more score first. That’s why you see dame drop 55 without winning
30.5 for Hornets is an easy over. They won 43 games in 2022 with Lamelo & Bridges. Now they’re replacing Mason Plumlee with Mark Williams (who led the hornets to the 3rd best defense since starting last Feb). The reason why they sucked so much last year besides injuries is the lack of interior threat (Miles) to open up space to their shooters; Oubre, Rozier, Lamelo, Hayward, Washington all dropped in 3pt%.
#DroptheMike I didn’t hear or see anyone say Devin Booker’s jumper, consistent and has a smooth release, especially off the pull up. I’ll also say Tyler Herro and Austin Reaves both have very clean jump shots as well, their pull-ups are also effective.
@55:40 I agree with P on this take. other players have to change their game (flow, rythm, timing, position) when they play with lebron because lebron has the capacity to be that role... like Dlo is a pure pg, but playing with lebron, he now has to find something else to do..
He’s not a “pure” PG. He’s not someone that’s gonna pick you apart in the half court and run PNR all day, drive and kick, make his teammates better, pass them open routinely, etc. He’s more comfortable with the ball in his hands, but one of his strongest attributes is his 3 ball. He can def pass, but he’s not some guy with elite floor vision. He’s best when he’s playing with someone who can also handle with him. Bc he can be a very lethal C&S 3P threat, he is great when there’s someone else who can create so he can get open 3s. It’s when he refuses to pass and just comes down and immediately pulls up from middy early in the shot clock and things like that when he’s most detrimental.
Making your teammates better imo is putting them in the best position to succeed. If you aren’t good enough/ smart enough to control the game you can’t make your teammates better. I remember the first time hearing about “making your teammates better” was with Peyton manning. Man was so smart he could make adjustments at the line that put guys in the right place at the right time. Lebron/jokic/cp3 are easy choices for making their teammates better because they control the game in a way that they can get guys easy looks that that guy couldn’t get if he didn’t have a on court coach out there making it happen. That’s how I see it
Yea he could be a pretty nasty 6 man but it all depends on if Wemby plays the 4 or 5 cos I'd rather have Sochan starting than Zach. Tre and Devin are locks to start so it'll be interesting to see what Pop decides.
All I’m gonna say about the Hornets is just look at the projected starters games started from last season: LaMelo: 36 Rozier: 63 Hayward: 50 Bridges: 0 Mark Williams: 17 Hornets were so injured last season. Last season is not an accurate level of play to judge off of. 2 seasons ago is more accurate but even then the Hornets didn’t have a legit center in Mark Williams and a number 2 overall pick in Brandon Miller.
1:10:10 perfect example is Trae young. Somebody on twitter tried to tell me trae young isn’t a good 3pt shooter cuz of his percentages but ignoring all the context that makes his percentages lower
Yo wassup guys I been watching ya for 3 years, and Kenny I’ve been watching you for longer prolly like 4-5, but ya really inspirational and ya videos always get me through my days. You guys even inspired me to start streaming soon and do my own podcast and other things, and I thank y’all for that. My birthday comin up too on august 23rd so I’d love to get a lil shout out from ya on the podcast. Thank y’all again and I appreciate you all !!!
Can we get a segment talking about the most talented line ups. Like which starting 5 has the highest ceiling even if it may not translate to wins. For me OKC has the best starting 5 if every player reaches their respective ceiling. GIDDEY,SGA,DORT,JDUB, CHET are tough.
They’re not gon be able to keep ‘em all and Dort a liability 90% of the time. The other Jaylin Williams has real upside, they have so many good young pieces maxing out there value
