I know Drew was just joking about the city popping up in the middle of the ocean but just for everyone else, Nueva Gerona is a real city on the isle of Youth, an island that's part of Cuba just south of it. It's actually a fairly big island, it's the 7th largest island in the west indies. It's just not shown in most world maps despite being bigger than a lot of the other islands in that area for some reason.

Nueva Gerona is a city on an island south of Havana, so the location is right.
Drew you need to space out your planes so they can do their job. Having five planes in the same spot doesn't help those long routes
if an airport looks like it’s floating, it’s because the island the airport is on is too small for it to be rendered by the games map.

It sucks that not all islands are actually there. There is an island just off the coast of Newfoundland called st Pierre and Michelon and you could have routed from the carribean to Greenland from there.
Saint Pierre is on the Reunion island , it is where the French antarctic territories are administrated. The place that is called Saint Pierre in this game seems to be in the Kerguelen islands . There is nobody there except the military and scientists , the main settlement is called Port-aux-Français so Saint Pierre is most likely a misunderstanding

Instead of buying loads of level one planes, try upgrading your planes first. A level 1 plane holds 20 people, so two of them hold 40 people total. A level 2 plane holds 50, and it costs the same to upgrade a plane to level 2 that it does to buy a second level 1 plane on a route.
