- The "DBZ Budokai 4" mod Project is a fan-made modification of the original "DBZ Infinite World" on PS2, running on PCSX2 emulator.
It features new gameplay, fixed fatigue system, new Comeback System, new costumes, new characters, new stages, new transformations, new capsules, new moves, new movepools, new inputs, new Specials, new RTFs and many other Quality-of-Life features and improvements.

Future Gohan still has his own special movepool, different from his regular counterpart, with all the moves he got from his friends and family.

What a tribute to the greatest Dragon Ball game Series! Bravo!! Is it a technical or personal preference you have for the Super and Ultimate Attacks like the ones we see in the Shin Budokai Series that do tick damage like the Shin Budokai Kamehamehas and etc? I see this is using the IW style where the final flash hits once but in Shin Budokai it hits several times before it ends. I wasn’t sure if that ruins the mechanics of your new build?
Multi hit Supers & RTFs are tied to game's engine. IW engine doesn't allow for that, NIM would have to rework the entire thing to make it doable.
We also prefer single hit moves for guaranteed damage during PvP gameplay.
@@Dr._Doppietta thank you for breaking it down. I wish they did the multi hit damage and then an explosion for the last hit would make it feel authentic
Yeah, that can be theorically done. But beside the huge amount of work required for such thing, there's also the possibility of the opponent escaping the blast mid-combo, which would basically make all beams not guaranteed in PvP meta.

There are 16 characters you can choose from, it's all written in the download video.

Only if we can. Voice files only accept a very limited amount of voicelines.

Yes! NIM modified his old "←P+K" and placed it on "↑P+K". It now deals a juggle + guard break + crumple, and can be canceled pretty much at any point of the animation with a KB or a Super. Keen eye! ;)

Edit: just noticed that Gohan has two RTFs. Is it just a change of RTF after transform or does he have 2 different RTFs?
Just a small question in regards to the gameplay and balance:
Will all charcaters eventually have 4 super moves and 1 ultimate/rtf set up?
Also do you plan on hive every charcater transformation mechanic to even out the roster? For example giving Tien, Yamcha kaioken or ssj to Raditz and Nappa willain giving rage state/high tension for the villain cast?
Future Gohan has always had 2 RTFs: one on "↑E" and the other on "↓E".
That depends. We have 5 special inputs available to us: "→E", "←E", "↓E", "←E" & "E+G".
Depending by what we can find and add to that character, some will have 2 Supers, 1 Ult, 1 RTF and 1 Counter (like Cell), others might have 4 Supers and 1 Ult (like Android #18), and so on. It really depends by the character.
No, transformation-less characters will receive other buffs to remain viable, like Tien, who actually deals more dmg with his Supers and Ult than average.
@@Dr._Doppietta since you removed hyper mode maybe L2 can work as a RTF/Ultimate trigger button? L2 + -> + E = RTF1, L2 +
Nah, it's too complicated and dorsal buttons do already have inputs, like "C" and "D".
No, we already got the new "A" input for transformations.
B4 is actually very beginner friendly. I've had several friends and even my gf playing it and none of them had problems performing the basic combos. KBCancels make this game *so* much easier.
We already lack inputs as it is. Two grabs will be reserved to Grappler characters, like Nappa.

I don't know if it's possible to remove the "stop in time" when doing a special like shin budokai? If so, it would be good to remove it to make the gameplay faster and more dynamic and it would also make it even more different from the original game.

Yes, it can be removed, but we decided to keep it to shape the meta and the Neutral PvP in a certain way.
Still, some moves had it removed for balancing reasons (like Kid Buu's "Assault Rain" and Janemba's "Hell Gate").
Did you guys removed the secondary grab? that one where u spam ki blasts, i recall it being quite useless.
Yes, we used that "E+G" input for something else, much cooler.

Is it not possible to give him some moves that only use his right hand? maybe a one handed kamehameha or masenko. I know another game series did give him a fighting style that ignored his left arm. Possibly raging blast.
I don't think people are meaning to come across annoying by repeatedly asking or mentioning this. He's just a massive fan favourite I think it's to be expected. Though I can imagine answering the same questions get boring/annoying.
The fact is, in order to create one-arm Future Gohan, we would need:
* New models
* New textures
* New effects
* New bones
* And most importantly, an entirely new movepool, where he doesn't use his arm
The first four require a lot of work, but can still be arranged. But the fifth point would basically mean to *CREATE* entirely new animations. It's something an actual fully fledged developer can do, not a bunch of amateur modders.
And yes, since I showed Future Gohan in one of my trailer, this question comes out *every single time* he's shown on screen, so it has become increasingly frustrating to answer it.

It would make no sense and be impossible...but a one-armed future Gohan would be make this the perfect Budokai sequel!...if it was possible rofl I'm not gonna pretend that this is an essy feat when working with uncompiled code rofl

No, widescreen can't be removed. You can make your own .pnach file and remove it if you want, but the game will remain in 16:9 natively.
