I know it would ruin all stories like this, but if I was a major financial resource, and I was accused of being a leech, the money would stop immediately, and I would refuse to restart it until there was a serious apology. If need be, I would dip out.
But these Japanese anime stories are ALL based on the OP (daughter/ DIL/ sister/ SIL) being a dumb, clueless, gormless doormat. It's only later that the ill treatment goes beyond what she can bear and she transforms into a Fury. LOL
Maybe Japanese women love these fairy tales and keep demanding more?!

Human beings can stand up for themselves but to do something like kicking out a in door cat outside is unforgivable and I would never let that person have another chance to ever do that again. Protect her cat
I am thankful that my cats are Indoor/Outdoor cats. Indoor at night and Outdoor during the day. Being rural traffic isn't a problem only foxes can be a problem. I cannot go to bed until my cats are both in bed so I feed them last thing at night so they are happy to easy and go to bed.
I am 80 now and not able to take care of pets any more, I miss my kitties.

I believe that all of the fur babies who have graced me and my family's lives went across the fabled Rainbow Bridge to play in fields of green with skies of blue everlasting just waiting to reunite with their human parents, brothers and sisters. Like babies animals have the purest souls given to any living breathing entity. They are with you each and every day because you loved them.
So the sister went to college then went and got pregnant to someone she hardly knew, seems a waste of time going to college.

I had a coworker who used to be a fieldworker in texas. She tells the story how she was working in the field when her baby came, she gave birth, put it in the cab of the truck collecting the crops and the driver looked after it until she finished working for the day.
Pressing her feet? Do they mean rubbing. Sister is pregnant but not showing, quits her job and moves back home with mom and sister who is expected to take care of everything.
And sis Miilie threw her sisters cat out because Millie doesnt like animals.
So yeah, choose the cat over the bratty, marginally educated sister and selfish mom. And get out of town. And mom thinks Millies bf is paying the rent only Nicky was paying for everything.
