    How likeable is Phil? A quality bloke and seems like a total music geek. Also looks like he would have been 5 years old when he wrote his hit singles!!

    Saw The Human League in Auckland last night and I was standing up front with a musician who only knew a few songs, but even he remarked how well an oiled machine the group still are. At 68 years old, Phil’s voice is still incredible.
    Being Boiled in the encore was goosebumps stuff and a real trip down memory lane.
    Been years since I last saw them. His energy was boundless, covering all the stage. So ably assisted by the two original members, also sounding untouched by time.
    He seemed to be struggling with the heat of the venue, especially in his heavy costuming. Or was he just living out the character in the songs.
    Genius and was smiling the whole time, like a person grateful for being able to still share the music.

Him & Martyn both heroes, not that i idolise individuals, but heroic in terms of overcoming limitations of technology and the class system by altering the language of the British music scene through the sound of paradoxical futurism.

      Really hope that one day THL will release one more album at least. Credo released in 2011 is very good, has a lot of hit songs and prooved the band still got it. Unfortunately the album ended up extremely underrated as it was poorly promoted due to a very low marketing budget...

    • @liveanadventure429
      @liveanadventure429 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamesbestrr4532 I have credo I remember I was off sick from work and my mate bought it for me and dropped it off, I take it by bad promotion you mean hardly any promotion? Any promotion is good but radio play and prime time tv is where it’s at and sadly there was no prime time tv and only radio 2 played the songs, I love breaking the chains that’s my favourite on the album but nothing since credo, I’ve heard that they have said they are always thinking about another album but nothing has surfaced, I’d love a new album, that studio they have is something they should be making better use of
