At the end of the trailer, you can hear a walker saying "where are they", it's so creepy and awesome! This season it's going to be a hard one, but the trailer hyped me up, can't wait for October!

Michał Skup that's your math not mine. Only one season in my opinion truly "sucks" and thats season 7. I did like a few episodes out of that season but overall it was a disappointment. it's just my opinion. It's not like math where there is one answer.

Hi guys the new character sneaking at the end is actress Nadia Hilker, fun fact she was in the series the 100 and appears after Alycia Denham Carey left as a similar character.
CAN'T WAIT!! The trailer confirmed the Whisperers at the end!! "Where are they?" That is the greatest story arc in the comics!!

i never thought it is sinking .. i liked all seasons .. yea.. season 8 was painful a bit slow but still at the end i liked it overall......this trailer look awesome ... a lot is happening and Rick's era is just finishing... i hope they keep making this show because they have not explored rest of the world ..... all this happened within Atlanta Georgia and i wana see what is the rest of the people are up to.

The end scene with the mud was the whisperers above them. You can hear a raspy drawn out , almost walker sounding "where are theyyyy" at about 5:19 in the trailer
That was Magna and her group from the comics talking to Father Gabriel and yes the whole scene with the two people in the mud is based on a comic cover, you can hear "where are they?" From 5:18-5:20 on trailer that's why the guy looks up in shock cause zombies don't talk, the whisperers 👍
This is gonna be one hell of a season!
I think maggie will go to the Commonwealth. She might go to seek help and resources for the group.
Rick is likely wounded and staggers off. He is possibly surrounded by whisperers and decides to sacrifice himself. The group comes upon the heads of Rick, Eugene, Aaron, Gabriel, Anne and tara.
I hate that we will be loosing Rick but this season will be exciting it looks like 👍🏻
The people who appeared during 5:42-6:12 are a group that debuts after the two year time skip in the comics... The woman @5:47 is Magna (I'm 99% sure).

Andrew said in an interview he will come back but not on screen but to direct season 10

Go back and listen to the last scene when the huge crowd of walkers walks by and if you really listen you can hear the walkers say ( where are they) in a creepy voice those are the Whispers

"Bloody Boots" Rick? After Daryl took him out far, the crows one by one til it was a Crow tornado!?!? I'm hoping they fought, Rick got bit, THEN Daryl drives him out far, like Shane saw so long ago, call back to the "lone Walker in that field" THAT, would break everyones heart!!!!

We all knew this for months. And yes Andrew did say today on the panel it's his last season. I personally respect Andrew's decision and wish him well in his future. He is a great actor and will go far. I thank him for bringing our Rick Grimms to life from the comics all these years. I am so excited about the new people in trailer for season 9, being a comic book reader I know who their characters are ( not gonna spoil it ) the best new character is Dan Fogler from Fantastic Beasts ( did you noticed him?). Hey yall! It was A LOT of easter eggs! That was Magna and her group and the biggest was Rosita and Eugene hiding with the mud and what you think are walkers.... they AREN'T, it's the Whisperers! Listen very close while they are walking. They say "Where are they" and that scares the shit out of Eugene. I missed it also! You have to watch it many times to really see these things even several hints of Rick's death scenes! It was awesome but sad about Rick leaving!

I am glad you reacted to this trailer. Season nine looks awesome, and, I think it will revitalize the show. So much happening, and I'm excited. October will be here before you know it. I still haven't heard if Fear got renewed, so, I wouldn't be surprised if that got cancelled, and, Morgan will show up at the end of season nine with the remaining Fear survivors. That would be cool. I also loved the Whisperers teaser at the end. Didn't hear them say "where are they" at first. Read it in the comments, then turned on my smart tv, and turned it up to 75, and heard it loud and clear. Super freaky, and super awesome. I did not like how last season ended w/Maggie, Daryl and Jesus scheming, so I’m very curious to see how this plays out. Also did I miss something at the end of last season w/Gabriel? What happened to his eye?
Nikki, the time jump between seasons is 18 month so baby Hershel Rhee is almost a year old since Maggie was 10 - 12 weeks pregnant at the end of season eight.

Am I the only one who noticed Judith running around in Carl's hat killing walkers in the background when Rick is using the hatchet around the logs? Judith is only 3yo. WTF
After further investigation, I may have confused Father Gabriel's top hat with Carl's hat. I not sure. I think it is more logical to assume it is Father Gabriel but it looks a lot like the police hat which Judith owns.

Always loved this show and with rick leaving it's gonna be hard, but can't help it we have to remain loyal to see how it plays out in the end.
This season actually looks interesting, based on the trailer anyway...didn’t care much for season 8’s trailer. Still sad about Rick & Maggie 😞 but, regardless of that, the show will hopefully pick up in ratings, before it flatlines completely

Does anyone else think a factor in Andrew Lincoln deciding to leave the show was how Chandler and Lauren have been treated by the producers and AMC? I don't doubt he wants to spend more time with his family but I have a feeling because Chandler was fired, after being told previously he would be on the show for three more seasons, and AMC being unwilling to pay Lauren what she was asking for, despite her being an integral part of the show, may have been the tipping point for him. Other cast members have talked about his loyalty, respect, and love for the people he works with. Maybe he just didn't want to be involved any longer with people who he felt didn't have those same qualities?

Every version of the trailer I've seen seems to have been cut because the scene where Carol has a knife to her throat and the next one where Daryl drops/throws his bike down is missing. I don't know why.

Don't understand how everyone sees Rick wielding Lucille from horseback. Clearly it was a homemade mace, WWI trench club style. Michonne, however, is clearly holding (an apparently bloody) Lucille toward the end. Season looks awesome! Have you guys rewatched the trailer with headphones? You can hear a "walker voice" saying, "where are they?" It's stretched out and blends in to the sounds of the herd. Looking forward to all the changes. I'm hopeful that they'll be good!
