Thank you for sharing this clear & professional video, perfectly tailored down to 20mins (instead of others at 2 or 3 hours+), and brilliant that you also show the door fittings. Will be a great help to me soon. Much appreciated. 💯
I am very grateful for all your effort to explain in detail, a picture says more than a thousand words, the assembly and these tricky moments which always frustrate during the process. I am now far more confident and will be putting a shed like this together this weekend.
I definitely agree and honestly, I don’t think him not getting the likes has anything to do with people not liking or appreciating his video it has more to do with people scrolling through trying to find something that will help them build their shed because they’re so confused lol but you definitely just Brought it to my attention😅
I have one of these, it's been a nightmare!!!! I think the apex/ridge pieces would be easier put on in stages as I now have a roofed shed but, can't reach the apex. Am reliant on my brother to come back! Something is obviously wrong, either with us or the shed as the roof holes don't match in some places, also the sides at one point at the bottom don't match! It seems flimsy initially, but, once put together, is sturdy! Thank GOD for your video!!!! I was able to amend/finish it. (63 yr old woman !)
To be fair, it took me and my friend all day to finish the job. I would believe it's not the exception and building a metal shed just takes time. Thanks for your comment, I'm glad the video was useful.
God, get some tarpaulins!!! The condensation is ridiculous, everything rusts/gets damp. I sprayed expanding foam in every single crevice that I could see light, apart from the vents, maybe helped a tad. Most definitely a waste of money and I wish I'd spent the extra on a wooden one! The rain also cam through the apex luckily my brother 'found' some heavy duty metal ridge pieces from work which solved that problem! Also found it's so limited as the walls are so low compared to the apex, you cant even put racking in it! Saw someone else on TH-cam didnt anchor his to the floor after discovering the doorway was too low for him, so, he put his on breeze blocks, made a BIG difference. This summer, I may put Kingspan or more expanding foam on the walls as it's as much use as being left outside! Good luck 😂

As an Engineer, I think this would be worth having a brew and laying all the parts out BEFORE attempting assembly. Then try to build each "wall" up in one block so you can seal everything up first. I guarantee the first summer of owning one of these, it will be home to a lovely well mannered nest of wasps. Thos vents are like the Hilton for nasty things that sting, bite and generally spoil your summer. TOP TIP though, find a brown paper bag and fill it full of scrinched up old paper then hang it close to the vents and roof. Any queen wasp who enters will see a "nest" and bugger off somewhere else. If one day, you go in and find TWO....RUN!!!
Great job explaining how to build this type of shed. I bought one from an individual, and we disassembled it in the dark with flash lights, he was moving and already disconnected the electricity at the property it was on. We had NO IDEA what we were doing, just unscrewing hundreds of screws. Took the roof off as the seller had already taken all the screws off. It took us about 1-2 hours to take it apart & load it on my trailer. It was dark when I ARRIVED to pick it up, WITH A MORE CAREFUL INSPECTION I would have passed on buying it, the metal is very thin and fragile, and bends easily. On the way back to the house some of the sides & especially the roof material got bent, and 2-3 sheets disappeared off the trailer.? The metal beam for the roof or (should I say the beam) is bent pretty bad, hope we can straighten it?? Have no idea if we can get any replacement parts. Yes, it definitely is a Chinese product, my wife is already making comments about it"Looks Cheap". Built a nice deck for a good foundation to set it on, looks better than the product I am setting it on. On a real tight budget, I am now about $350 into it, it is an 8x8 size. If I can reinforce it and secure it to the deck better it will serve the purpose, I hope.? If you have any suggestions on how to build the roof it would be appreciated, again great job on your video, thank you, sir. By the way, I am 80 yrs old, and after this adventure I feel like 90 yrs old, thank God my son is good at solving puzzles, cause that is what it appeared to be the next morning. Re- constructing the unit took us better part of 4 hours, with no directions, and I just found this video this a.m. Yikes!!
Currently stuck on an 8x8 wayfair metal shed same as this. Parts 6/7 the top runner for the doors says it should just screw in but those parts have no holes in for the screws to go through?
Hello, thank you for sharing. I’m going through trying to build one of the 8 x 6 sheds from Home Depot and somehow during my fiancé and I moving lost the instructions. I am going crazy trying to figure out how to connect the base and exactly what pieces to use on the base and was wondering if you had any, tips for me
Nice job - I'm considering one myself but I'm not sure about the foundation/floor. I don't want to pour a slab. It looks like yours in on concrete pavers. Did you anchor it?
How do you get the middle screws on the roof panels to go into the side roof beams, the top and bottom holes line up with a at the top / b at the bottom but middle screw holes won’t line up
Using rivets can be difficult because the joined surfaces must be pressed. You won't always press well here. The screw itself tightens the connected elements.
Can be attached with concrete anchors. I used to have a metal shed that was just placed and there was no problem. th-cam.com/video/nkNQXos3udw/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/qy0c395zjSY/w-d-xo.html
