  • Higher is richer, lower is leaner. Don't go mad either way. I'm not responsible for any damage or voided warranty caused by the following of this video.

    Good video! What did you gain after increasing CO level? how this is different form adjusting idle screw on the engine?

      @Chazillor  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      No noticeable power gains but makes the bike less snatchy. Pass on the idle screw question I'm afraid.

      +Chazillor ive fitted cans and a k&n filter on mine and its started cutting out at low revs.
      Will this help my issue do you think?

    I just tried this on my 2004 model. I get Er-4 when I hold the buttons down which is an ECU link error. oooo eerrrrr :(

    hmm,ive got issues on mine too,aperently its a factory error and they replace the sensor for free...bought mine second hand so im in a process of finding out if it has been replaced or not..at low revs the bike (when cold) loses throttle,sometimes it shuts down...when its hot,on low revs,like second gear with low low throttle its just too "bouncy"...not smooth,idk,i might take it to a dealer to look at this but they probably charge like 50 euros for that..

      It's quite a jumpy bike due to being lean, the sensor you mentioned is the throttle position sensor, if you look on xt660.com forums you will find a thread explaining this

      Chazillor I had an xt600 before it,i understand it has to be "jumpy" but nowhere near this.cheers.

      @@8thfold206 Thanks for your replay. Good to know you fixed it.
      Somebody told me, since the bike has a performance exhaust and air filter, the air/fuel mixture was messed up... so it looks.
      The symptoms were exacly like those on your bike, I hope Ill get it fixed with Kevs Mod.
      Greetings.

    my speedometer is not lit at night. why is that? can one retrofit that?

      Probably the light is blown, on Yamaha speedos, you pull the bulb holder out from the bottom, you can unpin the Speedo just clip pins and washers holding it on, then pull up out of grommets.
