I know this video was like 6 years ago, but I'd like to say how much I appreciate it. Everyone paints Dovewing as a selfish narcissist who likes to rub her power in Ivypool's face when that's *nothing* like what happened. Ever since she first got her power she *hated* it for the main reason that it separated her from her sister. Ivypool was the one who always got so pissy about it, claiming that Dovewing just wanted attention. Dovewing made multiple attempts to sew their relationship back together and Ivypool snapped at her and ran off. Ivypool ran off at every confrontation and left Dovewing reasonably frustrated. But for some reason everyone claims Dovewing's selfish and bitchy? I fail to believe that anyone who claims such things has actually read the books. Don't get me wrong, I love Ivypool's character and I'm not trying to villainize her, but Dovewing shouldn't be villainized.
Literally!! The power of unreliable narrators and people who refuse to read the books is absolutely terrible Edit but I feel very similar happens with Lionblaze. He isn't boring at all? People just choose to ignore him because he's a "blunt character with a huge ego" which I CANNOT see in his earlier arcs. He was scared of himself and Tigerstar, dreamt of killing his once closest friend and felt EXTREMELY bad about it shortly after, accidentally killed the ShadowClan deputy and was heavily traumatised. He had stuff going for him, people just choose to ignore it and follow the terrible Lionblaze propaganda that was going on a bit back.

I’m so glad you did a PMV dedicated nearly entirely on Dovewing. Such aesthetic color pallet. Dovewing may not be my favorite character(tho I do like her, especially after she broke up with Bumblestripe), but she doesn’t deserve the hatred that she gets from a massive portion of the fandom. People say that she was a ‘Hollyleaf replacement’ but forget that Hollyleaf not being part of the three is just as big and important to who she is as a character as much as Dovewing being Hollyleaf’s replacement is important to Dovewing’s character . Dovewing isn’t a Mary-sue. She’s a well intentioned character that is naive and somewhat childish at the start, and constantly faces growing and faltering relationships due to her standing as a member of the three.

I’m surprised you even said she had a struggle, I thought that you believed she as a Mary-Sue. Not many have creativity to write and sing sons.

Ivypool’s perspective or not, the song kept repeating that Dovewing “pushed her away” and “left her” and that she was being blind to Ivypool’s problems when really, Dovewing was constantly concerned about Ivypool and was at her side through thick and thin even when Ivypool rejected her. She was devastated to find out her sister was training at the dark forest and tried to convince her not to but Ivypool refused to listen. So personally, I think Blimex did not capture the truth of the relationship between the two sister correctly and I hope everyone is mature enough to respect MY OPINION.
Ahh this pleases me so much. A PMV about Dovewing before she got too tangled with the prophecy and Tigerheart. I really love how you approached this, because instead of putting the attention of Dovewing's life where there's a lot of discussion and arguement, you instead made the focus of this delightful PMV before, when she was still young and discovering her special power and the start of the rift of her and Ivypool's relationship. I love the story-book and game-ish look to the animation, it's just simply imaginative and shows what creativity you're capable of. To be honest, I was surprised of the styles of the cats, yet, although I found them slightly strange at first, I found them more appealing each time I rewatch this PMV. The way each character is styled and displayed, tells a lot about their personality. Jayfeather is thin and wears an almost annoyed/serious expression on his face, and to the viewer, that is his usual attitude. Lionblaze looks buff and strong, yet in some scenes he almost looks like a gentle giant. Also how you displayed Yellowfang telling Dovewing about the prophecy is just really awesome, the lion following after the jay and the screen rumbling as the lion passes Yellowfang, then the dove's feather falling in front of Dovewing, signalling she's the Dove's Wing and the third cat in the prophecy. At 1:11 I was confused at why Dovewing's eyes and ears were shown, I thought it was just because, but after my third time watching the video, it's suppose to represent her sense, her inner sight seeing and hearing. How detailed and realistic her eyes and ears were were also brilliant! You're going to do great things in the future!
I really like the symbolism at the end with Ivypool looking back at her sister, but only sees hawkfrost, and Dovewings view of ivypool being obscured by Lionblaze and Jayfeather.
I love how the eyes are golden-green mixed so it goes into two of 3 Dovewing eye colors XD Really though, this is amazing. I love the way you draw everybody, especially Jayfeather. 👌

I -like- *LOVE* How you gave Warriors that old but naturalistic tone that cats living in the forest have! Not like most MVs I see where the cats seem like they’re part of a high school musical. This gives Warriors a personality I feel I’ve been missing since I stoped reading the books. This makes me want to continue reading the series ♡

I get chills every time I watch it around 1:11!! The visuals paired with the song are just phenomenal, I could gush about everything from the color palette and art style to the timing and composition and on and on! Thank-you for making this, watching this has such an emotional response for me, and I'm excited to have been introduced to Crying's music and want to read more Warriors, too (I've only read the first series for the most part, so I don't know much about Dovepaw's character beats yet). I may be lacking some context, but I still think it's really cool and moving that you made this!!
OMG i love how this shows how difficult it was on DOVEWING and how it was kinda forced on her making her abandon her own sister, but in my opion Ivypool was justbeing a petty spoiled brat and wanting to become more than her own personality.
yeah she was just jealous and thought being mean will make her ''cooler'' than dovewing, ivypool was just like a school bully, being mean to those ones who try to actually comfort her and make her feel comftable with who she was, and ''gentle'' towards those who told her she was completely right and supported her hate ideas toward dovewing, which wasn't even guilty of recieving her powers.

LIKE, THE COLOURS YOU USE IN YOUR BACKGROUNDS ARE SO PLEASING. And the different shapes you use for each character makes them so unique. Also, this whole video about Dovewing is so well done to express her and how she was when finding out she was part of The Three. This was another warrior video that got recommended to me that I just never clicked because of 1. I stopped reading so I don't know anything really of Dovepaw (minus what I see in animatics and maps) and 2. the style just didn't catch me from the thumbnail for whatever reason. It happened to autoplay randomly while I was going through videos and I happened to look over. ...I am so sorry I didn't give it a chance before then. When I realized it was Nifty who impressed me with the last video I'd overlooked I really started watching. Everything in this video is so POLISHED. Not in the conventional sense but its all for a reason. That color palette,the use of the almost 8bit static lines in the back. Omg, it's beautiful. I normally wouldn't like the odd look to the cats as its kind of the go-to just see a normal kind of cell shaded look but every character has so much personality and choice put into their shapes and it adds so much to ech one. The use of your effects and editing never take us out of the video it only draws us in more. Some of my personal favorites are 00:27 to 00:36. Its just a gorgeous trasnition and you have reallly taken the cut outl ook (I don't know the actual term for this style of animation) and really perfected it. The moment between 01:14 to 1:24 is also so great, from the original use of perspective and camera movement to really make your eyes pop and flow with the video. To the effective use of text that interacts with the character, the look of sadness as she's looking up at the clouds followed by the rotated words was such a small a nuisance touch that doesn't go unnoticed. Nothing looks weird or takes you out of the video where you think to yourself 'would have been better if that part was fully animated' it all just flows. Another amazing thing about this is the amount of detail in your backgrounds. If this had been cutout backgrounds or something odd it wouldn't have worked as well. Backgrounds are important to practice and it shows that you've put some intense work into them. You did a beautiful job on this, the style of usage was a great choice and knowing the style you used in your Bluestar video, it was refreshing to see something so different from you. Your work is really inspiring and I am making sure I see everything you do from here on out, hell I want to see everything you do from here on. You've got a crazy good mind for editing and animation and timing and lighting and... it is really nice to see. I've been in a drawing rutt and trying to kick my ass out of it, I want to watch you more because your work makes me remember why I love art so much. Well, I've vomited onto the internet enough for today time to check out your patreon. P.s: Don't know why but I really love Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hawkfrosts designs in this. They are super unique and something about Jay makes me love him even more than the last time I read him in the original power of three books before I stopped. Everything about this is so beautiful. The style, the coloring, the movement- it’s amazing! One thing I especially love is the part where the text goes “someone’s got something to say” and then moves over for “how didja become this way?” The way everything is structured and framed out and how the text fades in color and then moves offscreen to make way for the next batch of text as Ivy speaks is just so beautiful and well thought out! Little moments like these really make this video shine. Effortless movement and style, I keep coming back to watch this again and again!

really gotta say i love the layering in this, if theres anything i feel that brings a pmv more depth and lide its editting it on more of a 3D plain than 2D. the simple blurs and the lyrics being behind the characters was so subtle but looks so nice!

I -like- *LOVE* How you gave Warriors that old but naturalistic tone that cats living in the forest have! Not like most MVs I see where the cats seem like they’re part of a high school musical. This gives Warriors a personality I feel I’ve been missing since I stoped reading the books. This makes me want to continue reading the series ♡

This was another warrior video that got recommended to me that I just never clicked because of 1. I stopped reading so I don't know anything really of Dovepaw (minus what I see in animatics and maps) and 2. the style just didn't catch me from the thumbnail for whatever reason. It happened to autoplay randomly while I was going through videos and I happened to look over. ...I am so sorry I didn't give it a chance before then. When I realized it was Nifty who impressed me with the last video I'd overlooked I really started watching.
Everything in this video is so POLISHED. Not in the conventional sense but its all for a reason. That color palette,the use of the almost 8bit static lines in the back. Omg, it's beautiful. I normally wouldn't like the odd look to the cats as its kind of the go-to just see a normal kind of cell shaded look but every character has so much personality and choice put into their shapes and it adds so much to ech one. The use of your effects and editing never take us out of the video it only draws us in more. Some of my personal favorites are 00:27 to 00:36. Its just a gorgeous trasnition and you have reallly taken the cut outl ook (I don't know the actual term for this style of animation) and really perfected it. The moment between 01:14 to 1:24 is also so great, from the original use of perspective and camera movement to really make your eyes pop and flow with the video. To the effective use of text that interacts with the character, the look of sadness as she's looking up at the clouds followed by the rotated words was such a small a nuisance touch that doesn't go unnoticed.
Nothing looks weird or takes you out of the video where you think to yourself 'would have been better if that part was fully animated' it all just flows. Another amazing thing about this is the amount of detail in your backgrounds. If this had been cutout backgrounds or something odd it wouldn't have worked as well. Backgrounds are important to practice and it shows that you've put some intense work into them. You did a beautiful job on this, the style of usage was a great choice and knowing the style you used in your Bluestar video, it was refreshing to see something so different from you. Your work is really inspiring and I am making sure I see everything you do from here on out, hell I want to see everything you do from here on. You've got a crazy good mind for editing and animation and timing and lighting and... it is really nice to see. I've been in a drawing rutt and trying to kick my ass out of it, I want to watch you more because your work makes me remember why I love art so much. Well, I've vomited onto the internet enough for today time to check out your patreon.
P.s: Don't know why but I really love Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hawkfrosts designs in this. They are super unique and something about Jay makes me love him even more than the last time I read him in the original power of three books before I stopped.

Everything about this is so beautiful. The style, the coloring, the movement- it’s amazing! One thing I especially love is the part where the text goes “someone’s got something to say” and then moves over for “how didja become this way?” The way everything is structured and framed out and how the text fades in color and then moves offscreen to make way for the next batch of text as Ivy speaks is just so beautiful and well thought out! Little moments like these really make this video shine. Effortless movement and style, I keep coming back to watch this again and again!

really gotta say i love the layering in this, if theres anything i feel that brings a pmv more depth and lide its editting it on more of a 3D plain than 2D. the simple blurs and the lyrics being behind the characters was so subtle but looks so nice!
