A note on the wear test, I wore a Victoria Beckham lid lustre over Phoebe yesterday and it was starting to crease by the time I was off work, so these definitely have great staying power because of how dry they are.
This review was a tour de force. You gave such great descriptions of the shadows and fantastic comparisons with all the different comparable formulas and similar shades. Scientist’s attention to detail for the win!!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 I have this brown duo, and I love it. I’m very happy with my purchase. A warm brown base with a cool shimmer is my favorite brown combo. I also have the We Need Better Lighting gold and silver. They are both the super sparkly formula. I like it too, but it’s not as unique to my collection as having the brown baked shades. I look really forward to seeing what you think about the gold duo!
Your attention to detail is so helpful, Colin. Thanks for putting in all this effort and all those swatches. There must have been glitter everywhere afterwards!
Yessss Colin there has been so much online chat about these and I'm excited to watch someone I trust swatch these! You bought the duo I'm thinking of for myself and so this will be very helpful. Love your nails too
I also have been using Phoebe as a base. I find it helps to control some of the oils on my lids. My whole face is dry, but my lids are oily. And hooded. LOL… anyway, I bought the same shade you did and I do also appreciate it for the complete look aspect. Thank you for all the amazing swatches and comparisons! Super helpful and insightful.
Great review! I appreciate you showing us how it wears throughout the day. I was concerned about fallout. I ordered the same two duos but on different dates. "Do You Know Who I Am" is scheduled to arrive on Saturday and I ordered it from Sephora on November 14th. I like both formulas in the "Still At The Club" duo. The deep base and multicolor sparkle in the less sparkly eyeshadow complement my skin tone perfectly. The wet sparkle in the other shade is beautiful. I can't wait to see how the other duo looks on the eyes.
I found that the ethereal palette has a brown metallic rly comparable to the patrick ta! I haven't found an exact dupe for the top shade in my collection but I'm okay not getting the still at the club color. Now i just have to decide on the gold one or the one w the white... 🤔 Ty for the vid lol now ill be quiet and finish the vid
I ordered Still at the Club because it has more of a base. I’m still waiting for it from Sephora. I tried a tester at the store ( all sold out) and it was so beautiful! Thank you so much for the review! ❤
Love the swatch comparisons! I've been loving everyone's deep dive on these and really enjoyed yours as well. This duo does look beautiful but given all the other beautiful sparkley brown eyeshadows out there, I'm not sure this is the one I would go with. There's a Rabanne duo that I have on my wishlist (i think it's called Date Night and it has a sparkley brown that isn't as deep as the PT one) or something from VB or Phytosurgence.
Fantastic comparisons & in depth information. Thank you so much. You actually have the one I was most interested in. Do you know who I am also looks right up my alley but is gold & I'm not a gold lover.
1. Love that you talked about accessibility in terms of packaging 2. I agree re: the duos - I wish PT could have offered the option to mix and match - would have loved the sparkly top shade with the white gold from 'We Need Better Lighting'. 3. I think that warm brown satin-y one would be a great day-to-night shade - wear it in the day, keep the duo in your bag, touch up and slap the blingy one over :) 4. I own PMG Subliminal and you're making me think of layering combos 5. Great, now I want the Chantecaille one as well, thanks :P 6. And VBB Mink :P :P 7. The other formula I think might be similar is the Bobbi Brown luxe eyeshadow formula - I own the cooler-toned 'Glow With Love' quad and it's an Italan baked gelee formula - less sparkly than PMG, one of the shades is pretty much matte, but definitely same formula family. 8. If he made an olive or a straight up GREEN, like PMG Blitz Emerald or LE Madrigal, I would also run. 9. The pigment complaints annoy me too! It's not just how pigmented a shadow is: does it last? does it blend? does it make your eyelids look like crumplied tissue paper or nice and smooth? does it wind up on your cheeks when you're out at dinner? ughghghghgh. Sorry this is so long Your review went where I was expecting, but now I can buy with confidence :) I think these will be loved by people who enjoy Italian baked gelee formulas, but probably baffling to everyone else.
I 100% agree with number 3 and probably will do that tomorrow. I have events at work and then a concert immediately after. haha I really want Chantecaille Elephant to go with my Rhino shade. And maybe the cinnamon color. I have heard good things about the Bobbi Brown formula but haven't tried it yet.
Thank you for this very helpful and detailed review. I love the everyday work look. The satin is lovely and the sparkle is quite dramatic. I’m sure I can duplicate this. This would also be the duo I would pick. I think I’ll skip this for now.

I'd love to see you do a video on your brushes, what you use them for, favourite brands, etc.
I can definitely do that
I wanted to second this request. I am a brush addict and love dedicated brush videos. 🎉

Thank you so much! This made my morning ☺️
I definitely want to swatch the others but they don’t feel as unique and special/worth it

Thank you!
I definitely had sparkle all over me lol
@@QueerBones A little sparkle makes life more fun. ;-)

I am glad I am not the only one who is finding Phoebe as a good base. I am glad you liked the video

Is that in the original ethereal eyes or the new one? The brown shade in the new isn’t the same on me but I never got the original
@QueerBones the og! It looks exactly like your swatch, so I just fake the Patrick ta look with the other shimmers in the ethereal palette lol
Wow, how thorough and informative!❤
Glad you liked it! I hope it was helpful
Omg, absolutely LOVE that sweatshirt on you! Olive on an Olive
Haha I love a good olive shirt. But if it’s too yellow it makes me look even more olive and kinda sick 😂

I really like that it has more of a base, I kind of wish each duo was a shade with more base and a more sparkly shade so it was consistent

I totally get that, I love the depth of this one and happy it's not a direct shade match for anything I have.

Great Review. I did purchase a few 😊🖤
Which ones did you buy?
@QueerBones We need better lighting. Do you know who I am?. In the club

Do you have the Clionadh stained glass single “Grisaille”? The top shade kind of reminds me of this.
I don’t have that shade but might need to
If you come up with dupes I’d love to know what you pick!
