Zuko's journey with Iroh was one of the most helpful things I ever watched. As someone who used to be very pessimistic and still have so many paralyzing uncertainty, I needed Iroh. The "giving into despair" quote, "simple honor in poverty", "power and perfection are overrated", and really everything Zuko needed to hear was what I needed to feel better about myself and my cercumstances.
Altho I'm mor like Aang then Zuko, indecisive, lacking confidence, thirsting for comfort and peace, are why I needed hope. Hope that even when things don't work out for me I can be happy.
Iroh rubbed of on Aang. The quote “When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change.” sounds exactly like something Iroh would say.
You do realize Aang was very wise himself, right?
This is exactly what happened to iroh as he hit his lowest point when his son died. And that's what made him the man he is. So yeah, I agree.

What's great about Iroh is that despite the fact that they are in a war, he's still willing to give advice to anyone who needs it.
