@@MactelecomNetworks I'm working on upgrading our Unifi Network at our church and will be installing the new UAP 6 Lite today. Very excited about that. I'm replacing an old UAP (non pro version).
Thanks for the review. Can you tell me if the wall mount allows for articulation of the camera itself? If I were to mount this on a wall up high would I be able to adjust it to a 45 degree angle?
Could you have the Protect controller on both the UDM Pro and UNVR active at the same time? I'd be interested in being able to see around the house without worrying about recording while also keeping outside cameras off the internet entirely and recording unless I am updating them. Is this a reasonable thing to try.
Do you HAVE to have a Unifi AP for these WiFi cameras to work (I'm also thinking about the doorbell as well)? I just bought the UDMP and G4 Bullet for outside, but that's the extent of my budget. I was just going to use my existing tp-link router/wifi device in AP mode but I can't seem to find if these WiFi devices will still work properly.
Mine gets here tomorrow! I hate that the flex, micro , and instant have unique non interchangeable mounting systems. Pretty sure ui just sources these from third party
They are available right now 2-3-21, only one per customer though :( The field of view is 133 degrees, amazing. I don't mind a bit less resolution and lens distortion for its applicable use it is perfect. Way better than Wyze cameras, Wyze should've come up with web viewing or desktop app, too late now cause I'm switching all my wyze cams to this and then I will have ALL my home cameras on one platform
@@MactelecomNetworks darn it I excitedly bought one yesterday not thinking of that, well I guess I’m upgrading my controller from the gen 1 to the gen2+
Not a bad little camera for $29. Great job on the video!
Thanks. Ya for the price point it’s great

The Unifi 6 lite is great. I can’t wait to test out the unifi 6 LR
I know it's been 3 years but why is this camera like 80 bucks now?
I was able to get 3 of these. They showed up in stock for several days.

Nice review, thank you. Can you use it on wifi and save video's to a NAS?
I've got 1 coming on Friday!
Hi, do you recommend to create a new network only for cameras?

You can only have them active on one or the other
@@MactelecomNetworks Ok. Thanks for the reply. There's a million other cameras I could use just to keep an eye on things in real time.
You for got about the speakers thats built into it.
You mean the two way audio? I had no one to test with so it would have just been myself and it would have echoed.
@@MactelecomNetworks got you on that it would be hard to do that
I’m going to assume it’s not amazing as the mic wasn’t to great
@@MactelecomNetworks yep it just about like the door bell
How long is the cord?

No, you don't need Unifi APs. You just need Unifi Protect, which the UDMP and CK Gen2 Plus support.
Awesome

Ya they are only do one per customer I assume because they are going so quick. I've never tried Wyze but would be interesting to do a comparison video
I was able to buy two, one from my account and one from my wife's account :)
Can you use it stand-alone?
You need to have it with attached the Unifi protect so cant be stand alone

damn why did the price go up to $79?? 😂
Damn things are as rare as a unicorn. Start massproduction (for Europe).
Oh I know super hard to find I was really lucky
