      Hi, just wondering does the back row seat can recline as much as the seat infront? Thanks

      @@sittiaudibah3137 have always found them around the same level of recline. Have had experiences in other cabins on other aircraft however (economy on A380) where this wouldn’t be the case so to be safe I would sit a little further forward, especially with the back row on this 787 missing a window!

    I would say that you should be skipping the first class lounge next time you are reviewing a product where it isn't included. Perhaps a swing through the dining and seating options in the terminal would be more appropriate.

    First time viewer. Great no nonsense presentation, very concise and the perfect length. Very well shot.
    Personally, for me, if I were to go flying again after 17 years, solo (I'm 64), i would have kaniptions if I arrived at my preferred window seat and not found any window.

  • @gap9992
    @gap9992 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I have Gold for life Exec Club membership so always fly with BA when I can. BA cabin crew are always great in my experience - which is just as well as it helps to make up for the ancient 777s they use out of Gatwick !!
    Nothing about the food / drinks package justifies upgrading to WTP and I really don't think the extra leg room and recline make much difference. I can't sleep in economy and I can't sleep in WTP !
    If I am not in business class using Avios / Companion Voucher then I usually pay for WTP because when it's just two of us we don't have to sit next to a stranger for 9 hours !! If we were a family of three or four I would just go economy

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it doesn’t help you sleep then yeah, probably not worth it much of the time. I’ve always found it helped me sleep much better so really helps justify the cost!

      @Travelsbydreamer  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re very welcome! How odd 😅
      Ok so, if you’re on the main deck in economy, you won’t get the storage bin and additional space. There’s a little bit more I’d say on the A380 as the cabin does flare out but not as much as the upper deck. I’d typically try and go for that always 😊
      Great to have you onboard!

    Can u board before economy? Also is the 787-9 a good plane to fly on? How was turbulence.

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes indeed so, premium economy from memory generally gets boarding group 3 with economy in 4 and 5 in the old system. The Dreamliner is good, big windows and well hydrated cabin atmosphere vs most other aircraft. Turbulence wise, the Dreamliner isn’t huge so it wouldn’t be as good as a 747 intuitively but I’ve never had any issues on it ✈️

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Keepontravelling Yeah, the 787 deals with the bumps well. Generally speaking, the larger the aircraft the less the turbulance, the A380 or 747 best bet for now. The other consideration is where you sit with over the wing always being best for the least movement. Premium Economy conveniently is located in this position on most wide bodied aircrafts around the world making it ideal!

  • @jeremypearson6852

    I nearly always choose the last row in Premium, but I’m usually on Virgin between Miami and LHR. Since they have the same configuration on their 787, it’s pretty much identical legroom. I’ll be traveling VA to LHR again in March 2024 and I expect an enjoyable experience. Premium is nice on a long flight just for the extra legroom.

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Travelsbydreamer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You’re very welcome! Really interesting perspective. I think it really depends which side of the fence you come down on in terms of whether PE is a glorified economy product or a genuine step up from economy and more of a ‘business light’. It’s positioning is pretty new and doesn’t make sense for a lot of travellers so do empathise with your position for sure - business is a totally different experience, that ability to get flat for sleep is priceless…

    isnt it possible to pre order some meals in premium economy? like vegetarian asian or something?

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They might offer a vegetarian meal ahead of time but I don’t think it’ll be anything more substantial choice wise vs what one might expect in economy. That’s my gut feel anyway, can’t see much evidence I like of anything beyond that at a quick look

    flying WT+ but on the A380. should there be any differences?

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question. I’d put WT+ probably slightly ahead on the 380. Reason being, it’s upper deck and if you bay one of the window seats, you’ll benefit from the storage shelves on the side which adds more of a feeling of space and loads of additional storage also. The seats are the same generation however so a little older now.

    Didnt like the dancing around the "is lounge access included" question, ok you said "no" but then talked about how it might be if you flew a lot and then showed lounge pics. Its not part of PE and IMO absolutely none of the lounge stuff should have been in this review because the main demographic of someone wondering about paying extra for PE is not those who would fly so much they get status eventually (and dont you need gold to get into the lounge anyway which would be a lot of PE flights, my quick calculation is around 16 eg more than one flight a month.
    FWIW i do occasionally fly PE its a good product but essentially at heart its better economy not worse business.

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed with the sentiment around a better economy as opposed to a lesser business, although that is changing with some superb new products coming through (JAL for example).
      Lounge access however is a silver tier benefit, lounge shown here the First lounge but at LHR it’s hard to spot the difference (600 tier points required). A relatively short premium economy return routing such as this one would earn 180 points so yes, most people would get there very quickly indeed.

    Great video! We were upgraded to Premium on the way home from JFK this year (on an Amex Companion ticket) and we can’t go back to WT now. Both of us are tall and extra leg room is invaluable. Have booked Premium for our next trip to the US and hoping to book CW or Premium for Cape Town (also Companion voucher) when the seats open ✈️

      Depends so much on the route and timings. Often, you can bag it for £150-£200 additional. Other times however, it can be double the economy fare. Lookout for cheaper upgrades sometimes closer to the date of travel :)

    Premium Economy on the Airbus is much much better than the Premium Economy on the Boeing. The seats on the Airbus are larger and more comfortable and more legroom. The Premium Economy on the Boeing is what Economy used to be. Huge difference between the two Aircraft’s.

    • @Travelsbydreamer

      Hmmm the 350 has the newest seat config. That said, so does much of the 778 fleet. The 350 would likely go 2-3-2 across which is great but it’s a thinner aircraft…

      @@Travelsbydreamer The British Airways Airbus we flew last night had a 2 4 2 combination in Premium Economy and a 3 3 3 combination in Hostility Class. I believe the Boeing had a similar seating configuration but the seats were smaller for sure. The Boeing must be a narrower plane.

      The aircraft builders have almost nothing to do with # of seats aboard. The individual airlines decide on which seat manufacturer to use and # of seats in each row of each class. Airbus and Boeing have nothing to do with it. Sorry to burst any preconceived notions.

    The amount of their premium economy IFE's and tray tables that are broken is ridiculous.
    Twice in the last year I've have totally unresponsive touchscreens/remote controls, and twice I've had tray tables that sloped so much to one side I've had to hold my food tray on while I was eating.
