It's a good excuse to discuss my reading plans for next year, which hopefully will include lots of chunky books. Let me know if you have read any of these!
The prompts -
1. What are the 10 biggest books on your TBR fro the next year? (show off those sweet titles)
2. How thick are your books? (measure them)
3. Do you think you can read them all? (flex your reading ability)
4. How many pages are they? (total / average)
5. Do you even lift books bro? (lift your stack)
6. Tag some people. (share the gains)
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The thumbnail! Love that so much 😂 Sounds like a great challenge, and you have some fun ones in there. Don’t forget the Manda Scott’s books. They are pretty chunky too. Before I heard of this tag I wrote down a list of 12 books I want to read this year and I have some long ones on there too. I just feel like I want that really immersive experOnce. Strange and Norrell is on my list too. Great video! Thanks Aaron!
Beefcake always makes me think of Andre the Giant haha. Yes, Manda Scott certainly counts too. I also forgot that I bought a bunch of Rosamund Pilcher books I want to read too.
Another iconic thumbnail. The length of these books is making me feel anxious! Happy reading!
Long books feel cozy to me, but yeah when you stack them all together its a bit scary.
I already wanted to get to Jonathan Strange this year... and you made me add Dancing to the Precipice to my TBR - sounds fascinating!
It does sound super interesting. The author Jo Walton wrote about it in her blog which is where I heard about it, and she is an avid read who I usually trust.
That's a great stack! Lots of interesting stuff there. I read A Fine Balance for the first time a couple of years ago and I still think of it often. I was surprised at how amazing it was because I didn't know anything going into it.. Jonathan Strange is on my list for 2025 as well.
I always hear good things about A Fine Balance, I do like it when a book sticks in your brain!
Haha. Loved this, especially your face as you were holding the books 😊. Some fabulous choices. Good luck with them all 😊
Thanks for tagging me! I generally try to avoid picking up heavy things.
@ 😂
I am hoping to start Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell soon, I have a few Christmas books to get to first though. I do love a chonky book although I only read a handful a year really.
FOMO book club (Gem of books & Jack -spread book joy) are reading A Fine Balance next Maya think so you are welcome to join us. We are reading it over 2 months and it’s always fun to chat at the end together.
The bit at the end is hilarious 😂
I'll keep A Fine Balance for then definitely. Always more fun to read with a group!
Great list! I hope to read some longer books next year too, and try to be less fussed about the numbers.
Also, thanks for not tagging me, there’s no way I’d be able to lift a stack of books! 😅
I generally prefer longer books, I think sometimes they make booktubing harder though if they take forever to read.
@ That is true! And I do like the variety that shorter books allow. My plan is to make my daily reads shorter, and have an additional chonker to read on afternoons when I have spare time. Keeps me away from stressful social media!
Hilarious thumbnail! Ah now I don't need to buy heavier dumbells, I can just lift books! 😂
I made a video of my ten biggest books not so long ago... Not sure I've read any of them!
I made one then too and also probably read none of them 😁But that will all change 😇
@AaronReadABook i checked - I read one and unhauled 2 😊
@@YourTrueShelf I checked mine. Read 0 and unhauled 0 (never unhauled anything in my life). Two of them are on this list though!
@@AaronReadABook 😂😂 unhauling - a new challenge for 2025!!
This was a riot Aaron 😆👏
Great tag! I already feel like I have some muscles coming in from the lifting.
