    31:30 ans should be 192N sir as g is also applied on the rest of the mass we have to write T- (M2 + rod mass/2)g =( M2 + rod mass/2 ) a so tension comes out to be 192N... Loved the video thanks

      Yeah, I like how both of them (Considering g and not considering g) give the same answer.
      Also, I am very curious about how (if we went by the original solution) they defined the UP direction without gravity 😆.

    In the question 24 where you mentioned it incorrect..
    Answer will match by taking gravity as well, as we have to consider weight of the remaining bottom part while calculating tension then answer will match 29:58

    Could someone please explain to me what I did wrong and why I was wrong at 33:57? I only applied the constraint to the left rod, assuming the movable roller to move with constant velocity U towards the right and the pivot at top to move with velocity U upwards and I got the relation, V= U cot theta unlike sir who got V=(U cot theta)/2. I understand that this has something to do with taking the x component of length of rod as x/2 (unlike the X given in the original question) for taking only the left rod in the constraint. But I still don't understand why it went wrong.

    Sir In ques 24 according to me if we consider gravity then we get net force equals32 Newton upwards so I thing that when we add gravity in free body diagram of lower part we will get tension 32 +160 .=192 Newton.

    In practice problem q26 8 Jan If I were to make an educative guess first by basic dimensional analysis on denominator I would’ve eliminated option A and D. Now in option B and C if I take L common in B I get (mw2/k-mw2) which is greater than 1 and in C I get (mw2/k+mw2)which is less than 1 but then we know elongation will be greater than L so coeff of L must be greater than one and I would’ve chosen option B.Sir please verify my approach if you get time.Thanks again sir for continuing this series😃😃
