  • I don't really have any strength techniques or tips apart from get therapy! That's the only way I've learned how to be stronger and more resilient to life's ups and downs. I recommend Better Help - they do a reduced rate for those on lower incomes to make therapy more accessible. I suppose you could also read a lot of self help books too.
    The co-founder and former editor of Trail Running magazine, Claire now runs the TH-cam channel Wild Ginger Running, creating films packed with trail- and ultra-running content. An award-winning journalist, writing for outdoor and adventure sports magazines and websites, her first book, The Ultimate Guide to Trail Running: 5k to 50k, is out now. Her second book, The Ultimate Ultra Running Handbook: 50k to 100 miles, is out in the autumn of 2024. Claire also speaks and presents at events and races. She lives in Stamford, East Midlands with her husband and young son (born just after her first book in Jan 2021!).

    This year, as I celebrate my 45th birthday, I've embarked on a reflective endeavour - 45 Strong - a series of candid conversations unveiling the complex landscape of what strength truly signifies through the narratives of an eclectic mix of women.
    My surname, Strong, has always carried an inherent expectation, maybe that’s why I believed that I could achieve so much in sport?
    Yet, strength extends beyond mere physicality or sheer willpower.
    Through this series, I aim to explore the varying interpretations of strength as lived and perceived by women who embody it in their unique ways.
