I remember a house show I went to back in 1988? Haku was doing the "King Haku" at the time. After the match, as he was going back to the dressing room, a fan threw a bag of popcorn at him. I've watched clips on TH-cam of 3 wrestling industry veterans (Rikishi, Kevin Sullivan, Jim Cornette) being asked who would win in a fight between Haku and Brock. All 3 picked Haku without hesitation. In fact Kevin Sullivan said Haku would destroy Brock within 33 seconds.

Haku is a legend for me. Never needed much of a gimmick and made things look so smooth and easy. Also, he people say he was such a nice guy, just showed the magic of his work since he was so tough for real, and could of abused that.
Haku was not afraid to take a fight to dark territory. He would go for your eyes, your balls. He would bite you and tear your ass up really bad. He may not win a fair fight but he is one of those guys to avoid.
If I was a wrestler back then the first person I would've tried to make friends with would've been haku cause A he's on your good side so you get to live a longer life and B if you get in trouble and need someone he's got your back

Bruce Lee was a powerhouse for a man of his size and had an incredible physique and masterful technique, but he'd be like a child next to Meng. Bruce was 5'7 and maybe 150 lbs, though I've heard he was closer to 135.
Harley Race has himself admitted that Haku was tougher. Read about how when Harley was retiring and was asked to hand over the mantle of King to another wrestler, he refused to job to anyone except Haku who he genuinely feared and respected. Haku was then crowned King Haku.
But it is more or less implied when he conceded to title to Haku. Harley had a huge ego and would only agree if he felt that his successor was tougher.
But he agreed to lose to ric flair and flair could wrestle but not tougher than race. But there is no question haku and race are the two toughest in the history of the business. Rick rude dick slatter ron simmions, the funks the andersons were a few other legit guys.

But it is more or less implied when he conceded to title to Haku. Harley had a huge ego and would only agree if he felt that his successor was tougher.
But he agreed to lose to ric flair and flair could wrestle but not tougher than race. But there is no question haku and race are the two toughest in the history of the business.

Replace rock with Rick Rude but yeah that's a top list. You may have to put Harley race in there but who do you leave out?? I think he was MEANER than the big show but when ur that size....
Ryan G I know they talked about Rude being tough but I just don't see him taking the Rock in a shoot fight. He would be giving up around 35lbs and a bit in reach. Maybe add Rude and Race and just have a first round battle with the 4 lowest seeds to see who makes the last 2 spots for the 8 man tourney?
Well mate ive not heard of the rock being a real shooter tough guy for real but boy oh boy.. rick rude?? NO WRESTLER denies that... the rock was a genuine talent wrestling wise so yeh cud take apart the average guy but u get a Harley race who was feared AND respected by the other wrestlers.. its interesting tho.. something I have always wondered.. if u are quite tough like the big show n andre but have a 150-200 pound weight advantage over A REAL TOUGH TOUGH guy.. does that compensate?. im not a fighter so wud be interested in genuine tough guys opinions u know lads who have had ALOT OF fights v various sized men..
If such a tournament took place then the order of elimination would be Rock, Angle, Big Show, Andre, Lesnar, Steiner, Barbarian and then the undisputed winner sitting on all the other bodies would be Meng.
